Located just down the main corridor toward the end where two doors stand from the left and right. Upon the left door, a sign marked as 'Mi Young Choi's Office' is written in old fashion ink dried on a bamboo shell.

Entering the doorway, immediately the smell of orange nectarine and sweet ginger wafers in the room, not to heavy but noticeable to the taste of the mouth. In the center of the room toward the back, a wooden desk is placed with several chairs arranged in the front of it while a smaller, more delicate chair is placed behind it. Papers, pencils, and other office accessories including a tea set, mini water fountain, and a few small potted plants are grouped in the corner of the desk.

All along the sides of the room, book shelves are installed armed with a myriad of scrolls, tomes, and other reading materials ranging from combat expertise to children's books are placed in an organized fashion. Upon one corner, a small fruit tree laid basking in the light of an open lamp among with other flowers and vines. Mingled in with the citrus scent is the earthly smell of flowers and lavenders.

Toward the backdoor, behind the desk, it leads to the Captain's room where a basic bathroom and simple bedroom await for the Captain's needs. Lingering close to the room, the smell of a garden seemed to emanate from the room, and just as expected, it seems that the Captain's hobby of gardening was taken even into her room. Though the room was only partly open, so the sight of the garden is all that can be seen.

Mi Young Chi :: 3rd Division Captain

Mi Young let off a quiet sigh as she opened the door to her office, and walked inside, her heart beating rapidly with worry and exhaustion as she looked almost everywhere for little Makoto. She couldn't sense his presence at all, and it made her worried that he treaded off somewhere outside of Seireitei. Mi Young left the door open as she went to open the tiny window that allowed a fresh breeze from the Gardens to blow through the room, giving a fresh aroma within the walls.

For a moment, Mi Young stared at the small stack of paperwork and her desk, but then she just pushed it aside and went to fetch the elephant-shaped water sprinkler just beside her desk. The pail was half-full, and with a quiet content smile on her face, she began to roam around the room, pouring a generous amount of water on the plants and flowers. The dark omen still lingered in the roots of nature. Even in such a warm room, the plants looked as if they were enduring a cold winter day. Already the sharons were growing pale in color, and the Chinese astars were beginning to wilt.

And no amount of water could cure that.

Mi Young let off a sigh as she looked outside the window, a solemn look on her face as a hand clasped around the silver ring at the center of her collarbone. She closed her eyes and silently began to pray. A aspiration... A guiding light... A miracle... It didn't matter. Just something that would get things back to normal.

"I thought I might find you here Taicho-sama," Nicholas said as he opened the door and walked in. His porcelain mask still on his face. The thing annoyed many curious people as they all wanted to know what he was hiding underneath. Despite his small stature, Nicholas was the fourth seat of the division and was older than what most people would put him at in age. Much to his annoyance, he was ranked as the current Soul Society's Shortest Shinigami. He at least wasn't the shortest in all of Soul Society's history, he was thankful for that.

"Is everything alright Taicho," Nicholas asked. He followed her gaze towards the window, many things have taken place recently, and for some reason Nicholas felt like it was only going to get worse.

Mi Young Chi :: 3rd Division Captain

The woman gasped as her nerves shook, causing the water bucket in her hands to tremble a little bit in surprise. She looked at the door, and looked down at the little boy who was older than she was by centuries. She recovered from her shock quickly, and managed to give him a smile. "No... I'm fine... Just a bit tired, I suppose." She said, giving him a half-truth in her words as she moved to the bonsai tree on her desk and began to give it a sprinkle of water as well.

"What brings you here, Nicholas-san? Can I help you with anything? Would you like a cup of tea?" She added the last question as she placed down the water pail and picked up the boiling water canteen. She dropped a few orchid leaves in the pot, and filled up the teapot with the hot water to let the flavors blend. The small boy reminded her so much of Makoto. The stone-like look in his face, his childish appearance, and even the drive to seek knowledge was in him. Though at the same time, he was so much different from the boy.

"I do hope you find your quarters comfortable. Since the late-captains retirement, I'm afraid we had to move some of the nesting quarters around." It was a question that Mi Young had to ask since some of the other members were still a bit upset with their new rooms. She had to take in consideration of everyone's opinions, even Nicholas. She did not fear the boy, nor was intimidated by his actual person. She actually found him quite pleasant to be around.

"I think I'll pass on the tea for today. Maybe another time," Nicholas said as he observed and noticed the many things in Mi Young's office. His golden eyes rested upon the neatly organized bookshelf. His eyes skimmed over all the titles that he could see, "That's quite an impressive collection you have there Taicho. You not only have a love for gardening I take it?"

He turned back to face his captain and addressed her last question. He held up his hand as a wave to let her know it was alright, "No I don't mind about the quarters. I am happy wherever there is peace and quiet."

Mi young followed the boy's eyes and looked at the book shelves. "Oh yes, there is quite a number of them, though I believe Kazuma-san's office has many more than what I have." She giggled and wandered to the bookshelves. Using her finger as a guide, she skimmed at the words that were written along the spine.

"Most of these books handle with more defensive measures and tactics, though I have to admit, I haven't looked through all of them to the greatest detail. Would you like to check out a couple of them?" She asked as she took down a few selected books, and a couple of the paper binding notepads that previous belonged to the former-captain. A couple of them, she had to pad off some of the dust that nestled inbetween the pages. Though each book covered an entirely different part of defensive moves, they all had pressed flowers as book marks.

Placing them on the table, she allowed him to skim through them if he wished too. "These are probably the best ones out of the bunch. There are plenty more in the backroom if you wish." Mi Young didn't seem to mind at all to share knowledge in the art of the 3rd Division. And she tended to play with the boy's desire to seek the that power in his own hands, if not encouraged it with all her heart.

Nicholas really didn't know what to say at first. He loved to read, and he loved to learn and here was both in one deal. The sudden offer caught him off guard. A person with excellent perception could tell by seeing his body stiffen and tense. That was another reason he wore his mask, it helped hide the emotions that spread across his face.

"T-taicho-sama...I don't know what to say...well besides the obvious. Thank you," Nicholas said as he walked to the table and carefully yet gracefully took one of the books. Reading the title and author, Nicholas was surprised by it, "I didn't know anyone still had this man's books. This is one of Tatsuo Higedeshi's less known works."

Of course, Nicholas wouldn't tell Mi Young outright about Tatsuo's better known works. The deceased man was known for the perverted smut that he wrote. Although, Tatsuo had branched out and wrote very well-written books on all sorts of things. This one was about defensive tactics and even went through history of some of the best well-known defensive tactics ever used. Of course, since Tatsuo was known for writing smut, all his other books didn't sell well due to his reputation.

Mi Young Chi :: 3rd Division Captain

Mi Young waved a single hand to purge the praise. "Oh, don't mention it. It's my pleasure really. I should be tending to the place with a bit more care, but with the gardens to tend, I guess I haven't been cleaning as I should. I would what would the late-captain think of me if he saw me now." The woman shook her head and looked at the book that Nicholas held in his hand. Tatsuo Hidegeshi... He was also know for his erotic works as well, though Mi Young didn't say anything about it since it should be inappropriate to speak of such a thing to one as small as Nicholas.

"Oh yes... I believe that is the first one of the three books that he written on the subject of defense. I believe I have the second one back in the store room, though the final text had been lost quite some time ago. Such a shame." Mi Young moved back to her desk and took a seat. Delicately, her hands went to pour herself a cup of tea. Her movements were traditional looking, and though was slow, the flawless grace with her hands showed that this technique was a practiced one.

Mi Young grasped the tea cup and took a sip of it, letting the hot liquid run down her throat. She took a breath, and then realized that her offering had probably took attention away for the real reason that Nicholas was here. "Oh! I had almost forgotten that you wanted to speak to me about something. Was there anything you needed of me?"

Kazuma walked through the hall heading toward the Captain's office. As he approached the door he heard a conversation between The captain and another person. so Kazuma leaned against the wall and waited. He considered the fact that it was best not to interrupt. Kazuma thought back to the scene earlier where he'd seen the two Lower seated officer's fighting back in Rokungai. Although he was bored he had only been observing to see what would happen. He left short due to an extended boredom and wanting to get something else done, So now he would wait for the Captain to finish what she was doing.

"Oh, I almost forgot. From what I've heard, a number of shinigami have gone rogue. There was fighting going on in the Virgin Forest and at the ruins of the Central 46 Chambers. Soutaicho was fighting two of them in the Virgin Forest who had gained Hollow powers. It was reported that the shinigami were Emiya Shiro, the now former fuka-taichou of first division, and Takeshi Masaru. They apparently, yet miraculously escaped with whatever amount of life they had left.

"Also Raiden Tsukaite the former fuka-taichou of Ninth Division has also turned on Soul Society and left with the aid of Tsumuro, the third seat of the former Fourteenth Division. Also Gilgamesh of Squad Ten has disappeared as well,"
Nicholas said finishing his report. He then opened the book and began skimming through it before he spoke again not once looking away from what he was reading, "Fuka-taichou-sama, there's no need to eavesdrop on our conversation. With Taicho-sama's agreement, you are welcome to join in on this conversation. So far, nothing personal has transpired yet that would make this conversation on a private basis."

Mi Young Chi :: 3rd Division Captain

Mi Young nodded. She let off a slight sigh, as the thought of so many members have left Soul Society. "I see... It seems like we have to be more vigilant than ever in this time of need. My main concern is the well being of those that remain and those that we have an alliance with... Though it seems like we have none at this time." Often, Mi Young contemplated on trying to talk with the first division captain to see about her own suggestions, though she never had the courage to do so. Quietly, Mi Young took another sip of her tea. It helped to calm her nerves. 'I hope they are alright...' Despite being considered 'traitors' Mi Young didn't seem to mind their conversion. Others called her silly for being so attached to other people, but it felt so wrong to her when people were discriminated over something like choice, or by who they are.

Of course, Mi Young sensed Kazuma's presence even before Nicholas did. It was, after all, in her own division. The former captain felt so akined to Mi Young's natural connection to the forces around her. Uncanny were her abilities to sense people's energy auras, and in the third division where her reading powers were the strongest, she could sense anyone or anything that stepped into the area immediately. Especially with Kazuma who was new to the 3rd Division, his aura stuck out like a splash colors on a white canvas. "I fully agree, Kazuma-san. Please come in, we have nothing to hide here. Kazuma-san, I'd like for you to meet our 4th seat member, Nicholas-san. Kazuma-san is the new fuku-taicho here." Mi Young explained, though she was sure that the small boy already figured that out.

"Is there something you need, Kazuma-san? Did you explore around and find everything comfortable for you?"

Kazuma Zane

Kazuma known that it would be easy for her to notice him. Kazuma wealked into the room and closed the door, It swiftly closed and kazuma looked over to the boy name Nicholas and smiled. "Nice to meet you." Kazuma turned to Mi and spoke to her. "Yes Ive done so, I also was in Rokungai watching a fight that seemed to have ended as i left....May be relevant to this conversation or not I'm not sure." Kazuma was more or less concerned of one thing in particular...His brother would be in touch with the ones who have hollow powers...Only he would have already had control of them....

Behind his white mask, Nicholas raised an eyebrow at what Kazuma had said, "I mean you no disrespect Fuka-taichou-sama, but why did you not intervene and stop this fight to assess the situation and send both to be punished? I'm sure there is some law that is set to prohibit fights from breaking out in the rukongai where innocents may be caught in and killed due to mere foolishness on one's behalf," Nicholas questioned Kazuma without even looking up from the book he was reading.

The book itself was really interesting. He'd have to keep a lot of these tips and information in mind next time he found himself in a fight defending both himself and others. He flipped the page continuing on to the next. Yes, full of useful information.

Kazuma Zane

Kazuma sighed and looked over to him with an answer that shoulkd solve it, of course next time he'd have jumped in but it was a different case. "My reason is that they had not done nearly enough damage to have my envolvment, but it would have been easy for me to stop none the less and next time it may be different but i was merely looking at what they could do." Kazuma figured he wouldnt really understand what he meant so he shook it off and turned to Mi. "What about you? should i have intervened? I guess i didnt really see the danger in them."

Mi Young Chi :: 3rd Division Captain

Mi young listened to Nicholas' words and nodded her head, while at the same time listened to Kazuma's words. Both had some truth, and certain aspects which they both could learn from each other. "Nicholas has a point Kazuma-san, though really, it depends whom it was that were fighting." She said, though her inhale of breath told them that she had more to say. "But in the end, yes, it would've been safer to simply stop the fighting. You must remember, Kazuma-san, the people in Rokunagi are helpless without the general aid of the Shinigami. I admit that the people of Rokunagi have a firm distaste of us, but you must remember that if any members of our society were to fight in the very area, it'll look poorly on the Shinigami."

Mi Young stood up from her desk and picked up the water bucket. She turned toward the corner and began to tend to the plant, refreshing the leaves and the roots. "Fighting only brings a bad name to the Gotei, so yes, not involving oneself into a fight would be a decision I would not make, and perhaps many others wouldn't agree with me. However, it isn't duty that should judge whether or not we should involve ourselves into conflict, it should be the matter of the heart and moral that makes those decisions. And I feel that we should act not only with our hearts, but with duty as well... All at the same time, separating them, but drawing strength from both." There was no anger in her voice with Kazuma's judgmental call, nor was there disapproval. Just the natural calm serenity that Mi Young always carried with her, and a lesson that she wished to pass on.

Mi Young took a pair of garden scissors, and snipped off a couple of mint leaves that grew in another pot. "One should never disregard the level of danger in any situation. That's how you underestimate your opponent, and throw yourself off guard. If that danger would become a threat of any sort, it would not only be the shinigami who were fighting that would fall into danger, but the very people around them as well. It is our duty to protect others, even if the danger comes from us."
