For some reason, I doubt it...but my flute does the same thing sometimes.

they're not supposed to leak spit if they're closed o.O...but if they're open...it's only natural to assume the spit is gonna leak out...if you've been playing for a while that is... eek

if you play for a while, and hard enough, it's natural for your instrument to leak. My bassoon leaks all over my hand from the lower holes

My piccolo loves to leak. It gets very annoying having to clean it out after playing for an hour because the notes don't come out right.

yeah i'm sure that they are supposed to leak considering that it is spit what is going into your instrument. especially when you play a lot. like during school or a concert my flute will leak through the keys

I play solos alot, so I know a thing or two about the higher extents of woodwind volume, and no matter what. 5 minuets into anything with any one of my larger instruments, my A-key hole starts to leak. I find this hellarious after the fact, but it always becomes annoying when I'm playing and all of a sudden my instrument starts dripping on my music gonk (if you are confused with this, it's because I usually play with my music in jazz band form) But yes, A-hole leaking is always a problem, but always hellarious! xd

Landruce Dragon Lord I play solos alot, so I know a thing or two about the higher extents of woodwind volume, and no matter what. 5 minuets into anything with any one of my larger instruments, my A-key hole starts to leak. HOLY MOLY!!! Hahaha! That's not spit leaking all over you. Sheesh! It's condensed water. HARMLESS WATER! hehe. It's supposed to happen. You're not drooling into your instrument... that would be gross. Hah. Of course, it SEEMS as if spit is leaking into your instrument, but it's just your warm breath vapor condensing into a liquid.
So, it's not ALL bad, but it happens to everyone.
