Upon exiting the Outer walll and the first line of defense travelers find themselves lost in a large maze between the outer and inner walls. Newcomers to the maze must post five times before proceeding, while anyone who has previously passed through may enter with one.

The air was dark and damp as the white lightning bolt flew straight through the tunnel, speeding towards it's destination.

Raiden walked through the tunnels. He walked closer to his destination and his eyes were slightly crazed. But he resume a normal posture. He rushed faster weaving around the boulders and stalagmites. He sees the opening and rushes through

Andrew walked into the Tunnel and saw it to be a maze. There he saw the entrance to the maze and started to walk around the place trying not to get lost.

Andrew was in the middle in the maze as he took a sharp right and ended at a dead end and walked back to the main area he was at and kept going

Sano passed another opening thinking he had finally made it. But, he wasn't even close. He realized he was in a maze like the one from his Exam a week earlier and he cursed silently as he began taking the turns around the corner. First left. Then, right. Right, again. Left, straight, dead end. Start over.

Sano made his way back to where he had gone straight and looked at the possible paths he could take. He decided to go left and see where that would take him. Deciding that it was taking too long, Sano sped up to a slight jog as he began to take the corners fasters and less precise. Occasionally, he would catched his shoulder on the edge of the corner, but he wouldn't stop. He kept travelling deeper and further into the maze.

"Does it never end?" Sano was getting frustrated, but his face remained expressionless. Not exactly because he wanted it that way, but more because he could have expressions in his cold non-human body. Shaking the feeling of hopelessness out of his head, Sano continued with the mazing. Every so often, Sano would reach a dead end, but he wouldn't say anything, he just went back to the last turn and took the opposite hoping to make it to the village as soon as possible.

Another dead end. Thoroughly angry, Sano punched the wall in front of him. As his fist grew closer to the wall, the blades in Sano's hand extended. When his fist made contact small cracks ran up the wall. Sano pulled back his fist and retracted the blade. There was a hand sized depression on the wall with three holes protuding into black. He shook his head and turned around trying not to let his anger get the best of him.

Sano took took another right, it seems as if he was only taking rights, but this time it was different. This time Sano could see the path before him and a light on the other side. Sano shook his arms to "loosen" them up and then looked down to examine his body. He brushed the dirt off of his new jacket and made sure the caps on his gourds were on tight. When everything was up to snuff, he looked up and resumed his slow, methodic walk into the village.

Zarud looked ahead of him to see cross road. He took out a notepad and a pencil and marked it down.

As he continued through the maze he wrote down each direction he took. When he came to a dead end he walked back, following his notes in reverse, then crossed them out.

As he walked through the maze he noticed he had used two sheets of paper already, but with each right turn he was getting closer to the end.
