۞ Lovebird Pair RP Contest ۞   PROMPT: This lovely pair of male and female lovebirds are quietly dreaming while still in their totem forms. Each dreams of finally venturing off, thinking up fantastical worlds and hoping similar sights truly await them. But what's this, as they travel in their personal dreamland, they actually come across each other? This is the first time meeting another totem, much less in a dream! I wonder how will they react?

The bright green totem padded along, carrying the rather large bell. It's sound ringing out over the tree tops. He stopped and took a few breaths, the smell of flowers hung in the air and spring rolled around in the world they callled home. Other birds had gathered around him, unsure of what he was. A bird? Or a totem? He was colored like a bird, yet had no beak. They were all confused yet drawn to him, couples seemed to be forming around him. He was a love bird no doubt.
Night came quickly over the land and he curled up in a nest in the tops of a large oak tree. His bell nuzzled under his chin, his most prized posession. Sleep then came swiftly to this young totem, his heart being pulled into the dream world.
Dream~
The world was beautiful, clouds covered the ground and the night sky hovered yet the sun was still in place. Eros walked across the strange peaceful world, in awe. There was no place so beautiful on the world he lived. For he knew that this was a dream, but it felt so.....alive.
He felt as thought he was being pulled to something he did not know, something that was part of him. He walked through the dream world. Just now noticing that he no longer had his bell. He could not seen it anywhere, but just as he was looking up he spotted it. But it was not alone, there was another with it. Slightly smaller but similar in color and design. He was in awe at the sight of the two bells tied together by a red string. A sign of connection between two individuals.
But then as quick as it appeared it was gone. And then there sat Eros, feeling as though half of himself had been whiped away. He knew that there was something more out there, someone waiting for him. The world around him started to disseapear along with the bells, and he knew that it was time for him to be placed back into the living world.
Dream End~
The young totem awoke to blinding sun from above. Streching he grabbed onto his bell and held it tight to him, remembering the sight of it. How beautiful it was and how bad he wanted to have that feeling of wholeness again.
He hoped that he could find that totem.

Psyche looked around and sighed. What a weird dream she had. She got up from the tree and jumped down to the ground. She looked around hoping to find the other bell and the red string but dissappointment filled her heart. She knew it was just a dream, but it felt so real!
Psyche looked down at the bell around her neck. Yet if it's only a dream...she felt some sort of connection, like someone was waiting for her and only her.
Maybe this was what others say that dreams mean to tell us something. Psyche was odd. She had the colorings of a bird, with light green and yellow with some hint of red and black. She was hoping to find another with her colorings, but no matter where she went along her travels, she never found one.
Psyche looked at the rising sun and decided to continue her journey of finding a mate for the spring.
When it came time where she meet a fork in the road, she didn't know where to go. She then heard her bell chime. She looked at her bell and then the fork on the road. Out of curiousity, she went on one path and her bell stopped. But on the othe path, her bell chimmed. Having a sense of hope, she went down the path where her bell chimmed until it was dark.
Deciding to rest, she went off the path awhile and sleep in a tree, keeping the path in her sights. With that she doze off.
Dream~
She awoke on the meadow again with the vibrant colors of flowers.
Psyche never been so excited. It was the dream again!!! She knew it felt real as it did before!!!
Her bell was once again missing but saw it in the distance, hearing it chime. Psyche was lured to the other charm that was chiming, yet her bell was guiding her somewhere. Psyche then saw the red string to her paw. Again she saw this in her dreams. This red string was always connected to her bell and the other bell in the distance.
She felt the red string tug at her. She decided to follow it.
As in her dreams, the sun was beginning to set and the red string stopped tugging as the bells stopped chiming.
Psyche looked up, as the sun was replaced by the moon.
Dream End~
Psyche woke up to the warm rising sun. She jumpped down from the tree and stretched. She then looked at the path that was still in her sights. Her bell chimmed again.
Psyche was sure her dreams weren't normal. Her dreams were telling her something. And like her bell, it was guiding her somewhere.
Psyche went to the path and looked ahead. She didn't know where she was going but, she knew she will find someone at the end of the path.
As her heart tugged her like the red string in her dreams, she followed her heart and started walking down the path again.

Eros wandered the roads, following where his heart took him. But then a sweet smell filled the air, something he'd never taken in before. It smelled of spring in full bloom, of the sun high in the sky.
"What is that?" He asked himself then looked around, there were many paths to take, but which one was right? His bell rung in the air and he glanced down at it, almost being able to see the red string around it again. So he followed the ring of his bell and walked towards what he hoped was the totem whoes bell he'd seen in his dreams.
Hours had past and he could feel his stomach growl for food, but he felt as though he could never eat until he found her. Now he knew it was his soul mate, there was no other possibility. He was always alone and could never find someone that was like him. His coloring was unique, and other totems would look down upon him. He knew he wasn't wierd, only different. And this other must be like him.
Eros filled with hope as his paws almost lifted off the ground towards where he hoped he would find her. His godess on earth.

Psyche was continuing on the path towards her...soulmate. Yes, she knew this has to be her soulmate. She passed by other mates in on the path. She sometimes stopped and ate something or drank a little, but seeing all the newly mated around her, she stopped drinking water and eating and decided to move forward. She was getting impatient. She was alone for her whole life, not knowing who to talk to or like because of her coloring. But if her heart and bell was guiding her somewhere, she knew it has to be someone waiting for her. Who's other bell was that in her dream?
Psyche wondered until the sun was setting and her feet were sore. But she stopped and looked around. This is were it started!!! In her dreams she always drempt of this field, this is where she'll wake up to everytime!!!
Looking down her bell stopped chiming and the tugging in her heart stopped. She ran into the open field, looking for the totem just for her....but he wasn't there.
Never giving up, she searched the field again...but he wasn't there. Psyche, filled with disappointment laid down in the field. To tired to move, she lay there and weep.
Soon she feel asleep...but at the same time a warmth in her heart over came her entire being. She knew he was with her. Where ever he was, he will find her.

Eros soon saw the sun fall behind the trees, he was almost running by now. The pull on him too strong to hold back anymore, he wanted to find this female. He knew that he could no longer go on without her in his life, she was his life and heart's desire.
The trees came to part and he stepped out onto the soft ground that opened up to the beautiful field from his dreams. "This is it, she has to be here" He said looking around frantically for her. He could sense her here, his bell wasn't ringing anymore but he could feel his heart ponuding into his ribs.
He started to run faster jumping over rocks that were stuck in the earth. After about a half an hour he started to lose hope of finding her, it was almost pitch black except for the glow the moon cast over the land. "Where are you?" He asked the air and kept walking slowely, scrarching every part of the field.
Eros walked for a few more minutes before spotting a fimilar color green, it looked just like him. He filled with a warm feeling and walked over to her. She was beautiful, everything and more that he knew she held. The bell hung aronud her neck and he smiled. His tail flicked to the side as he curled around her smaller form, nuzzlnig her cheek lightly and licking the top of her head.
"I have finally found you" He told her softly then looked up to the gods above and said a slient thank you for bring them together.
