Physical Description: Davian’s tall at nearly six feet and he just keeps sprouting on up, his sister has the same problem and they joke about being in a race to see who would hit the ceiling first. His hair is straight as a board and is a deep chocolate brown colour, it’s become quite long as of late and he mainly keeps it out of his face with a band at the base of his neck. His eyes are an almost crystallized amber colour, though they seem to darken when he becomes angry or extremely upset.
The sixteen year old isn’t overweight or underweight, but a balanced healthy compromise between the two that came from having a twin sister, and two younger siblings that he had to chase around and help take care of. His skin is a deep brown the sun staining it that colour with all the time he spends outdoors with his siblings while his parents are busy.
When it comes to the looks department Davian considers himself a handsome fellow, he had dimples and everything after all. He just hates that he’s awkwardly tall, he’s a jokester and filled with, what some people think, is too much self-confidence which explains why while he’s not that much better looking than the average guy he really thinks he is.
Personality: Davian is nothing if not a jokester, he takes very little seriously outside of his family. He wasn’t even going to go to Ista Weyr when he was his twin sister were Searched, but his father impressed upon him the importance of being a Candidate and the glory of the dragon rider and so he went. That and, of course, he wasn’t going to let Davril go off to someplace new without him. Other than family life’s a big joke to Davian, he likes to believe that someone else will do the really important things, the only reason he was around was to provide comic relief- and flirt with the females, of course.
Flirting is something Davian has a mass amount of experience in, he’ll flirt with any girl pretty or ugly, young or old, because who could resist his charm and wit? When he’s around other male’s then he’s everybody’s best friend, cracking jokes and having fun. It’s hard to really get Davian angry, but if you manage it then watch out. He has quite the temper and doesn’t think twice before resorting to physical violence. Unless it was a girl who made him upset, Davian wouldn’t hit a woman it just didn’t seem right in his mind.
History: Born to a Weaver and a Tailor Davian grew up surrounded by cloth and clothing, which is why he spent much of his time outside with his siblings having no interest in either. As a child he spent most of his time exploring Ista Hold with his sister, getting dirty and into trouble. When accidents happened or something went wrong the residents of Ista Hold usually looked around asking themselves ‘What’s Davian and Davril up to now?’. In reality it was usually never his sister’s fault but his.
As he grew older he grew out of exploring and instead had to stay closer to home having to help take care of his younger brother and sister. He loved his family and even though his younger siblings, Adella and Kirvin, were sometimes a handful he didn’t mind watching them. It gave him a chance to be entertaining without having to worry about his parents telling him to get doing something productive.
Nothing momentous happened until he turned sixteen and a dragon and his rider came to Ista Hold for a Search. Unexpectedly both Davian and his twin sister Davril were picked to go to Ista Weyr as Candidates. At first Davian didn’t even want to go, being a dragon rider wasn’t a thing that had entered his thoughts very often, plus he had his eye on a pretty girl that lived not so far from him. Fortunately his father talked him into it reminding him the duty dragon rider’s had to protect Pern against the Thread, and also the duty he had as a brother to watch over his sister Davril. Looking at it from that prospective he knew he couldn’t just let Davril go off to Ista Weyr on her own, who knew the trouble she’d get herself into.

Other/Talents: Davian, like his sister Davril, can’t hold his liquor at all, he keeps far away from the stuff as to not make a fool of himself. At the moment Davian shrugs off responsibility, but hopefully after he Impresses his dragon will help him realize that responsibility isn't always a bad thing. Once he realizes that he’ll work much better in a group, being good at taking directions and such.
