Our event is going to be for a large part free with free raffles, games, and contests! But, even if your mini event in the event thread isn't free... maybe you want to do something new and/or innovative to game your pet away!
In this thread, you all can post your ideas and or suggestions for game ideas!
By posting ideas and suggestions, you are by posting in effect ok with any staff member during the event using your idea.. Anyone using your idea will give you credit.. either in their event thread in the guild.. or during game time in teh main event thread...
but.. i think it behooves us to have a pool of ideas for games.
I'll throw one out.
Bingo - can take a while..especially if there are a LOT of people.. but how many spaces we have on our boards and up to what numbers we have all can affect how long it takes.. but if we have a lot of people around.. can be something fun... or.. we can have a "bingo hall" in the event guild for that type of thing...
Mad libs - fun random event.. this one is done expressly for fun and not necessarily a prize.. if we did a game where everyone posted a list of words.. then we post in the guild.. all the stories filled in with each user's list of words.. then everyone vote on which is the funniest?
Pet/OC Cosplaying: maybe we can have a contest for people who can dress up like their pet. They'd have to submit a certed version of hteir pet to prove it is in fact theirs. And, they post their avatar that way. whether or not we accept tektek's is negotiable.. though i'm more with.. the user representing t heir own pet.. so i'd like to see the owner dressing their own avatar up

Since this is an event that wants to focus community, maybe have a special art contest of sorts? It'd basically be where the contestants draw fanart of any of their favorite B/C's, maybe more than one of them from different shops in one pic if they wanted to.
Preferably, they would have to draw the characters/pets without a background (make it either white or transparent depending on what they're able to do with it). The reason is... once the contest is done, aside from judging the winners... we'd take ALL of the submitted entries and put them all into one massive B/C collage type thing. (we'll let them know ahead of time that their work will be used for it)
Ok.. its not really a game but it was just a random idea that came to mind. Entry fee would be free and it could have a few pets (maybe 2-4 total) from different shops as prizes if possible.

I liked the idea of one game, a store I lurked (alright, so I lie, I popped in to see what this game was about because it intrested me even though I didnt par take in it) and yet now...I cant remember what it was. XD;;
Scavanger Hunt: We all know how this is played, so no description needed.
20 questions: No description needed, we all know how this is played.
Image Map: Obviously we will need someone to code this but if we can, this can basically work however you want, the image map leads you to a prize, one pick per hour (or however you want to do it) and it can lead to a free pet or a non winning space. Maybe some shops will allow credit (say 50% off any custom or whatever) or a plushie if they have them or whatever, the choice is up to those who wish to join and what they would like to put into this.
Random Number/Dice games: This are old but true games, no need to give a description.
Thats really all I can think of right now.

We could have this one game were we post four words and then they would have to create a story with those four words with one of the pets that they plan on going for during the time of the event. Sort of like a Mad Lib I suppose just with a bit more guide lines. There could be a prize involved as well. I wouldn't mind supplying one from Weisty Outlaws for this

This is great guys. Keep ideas coming.. and those of you helping with planning who own/run shops.. if you want to put up a pet to sponsor said event... by all means.. we can arrange ti that way. :3
(in side reference: if you want to do this, be sure to post in event time with when best time of day/week is good for you so you can be scheduled as we start pulling our ideas into solidity))

Olive masterpiece said in her shop registration form that she would love to do a fun auction. here's what she said: an O L I V E masterpiece Basically, you don't bid gold, you bid a funny phrase, video, or picture. In the end, we'd go through the bids and give the prize to the funniest one. I really liked this idea as well!

You could have a poetry contest, either whatever form the writer wants or in a specific one, like haiku. Give a theme to write the poem about, and the one that's most creative, most well-written and represents the theme best wins.
Side note, I work for Namiah and hope the owners choose to participate in this. I'd love to whip up a couple pets, familiars and/or plushies for this. smile

Random idea for a quick game.
One of these things is not like the other;
Post up an image of 4-5 things that are practically identical. Each thing is numbered, and one of them has something slightly different than the rest. First person to post the number of the thing that is different gets a point. Or something along those lines.

MYSTERY GAAAAAME
It could be a number of different mystery (murder?)-related things!
The easiest way would probably be to have a game similar to Clue. Either that or a whole bunch of clues that you use to solve the mystery, like a silly logic game, with different clues released on different days.

Well, treasure hunts can be as simple as posting little pictures that need to be quoted, or hiding links within a guild or shop. We could hide special "white ribbons" in all the participating shops. That would be kinda cool. They should be hidden at different dates of course..
Trivia could be... about any given subject. You ask a question, then award points to people who answer it right. You can award points to the first person to answer correctly, or a specific number of people, etc..Belle Boyd
"Guess my (age/weight/number/etc)" games. Where you pick some number and people submit their guesses.. I guess you could pixel a little jar or something and say "guess how much ___ is in the jar" and like.. somewhere generate a number and that would be what it is.. *nod*Belle Boyd
Hidden object games within an image? like.. I spy, kinda?Belle Boyd Complex Dice games.. like.. fishing? Well, they have a choice of the equipment they purchase. Different equipment costs more, and have differend number ranges. Like, an "old rod" is gen 1-30, and you have one number that wins. A "super rod" on the other hand is 1-10. But of course, a super rod will cost you more. You can also purchase different baits that give you more numbers that win, and I gave my people complete control of what numbers they wanted when they bought bait. Things went well. I've made around 52k with the fishing game, charging 3k for a super rod, and 1k for "deluxe bait" that adds three numbers.
