For me, it's a little depressing. A character I know I can relate to is;
I will run your a** over then hit you with a shell.
Bowser the Koopa King. For one, his fighting style is similar to mine, no I don't spin around and smash with my shell, bite, or shoot out fire from my mouth (besides once) But he's slow, strong and very durable. (In Melee, he was my 2nd best character behind Luigi, in Brawl he was third after Snake and Luigi)
That and he's evil in his own way. He plans to rule over the Mushroom Kingdom without a plan, most of the time he can't get past just kidnapping Princess Peach. That and the way he just acts. He's somewhat selfish and always driven by revenge against Mario. He often brags about his strength (amongst other things) though he can't seem to catch a break, he's awfully unlucky if you've played most of the RPG games with him in them - and he's somewhat an oaf really. He can get some complex things through such as how to build certain machin/robot to defeat Mario, or come up with diabolical plans to kidnap the princess and defeat Mario; yet still seems to get the simplest things wrong. Hell, he had the Star Rod in Paper Mario, which could grant him any wish he wanted, and instead of wishing Mario to just die he made himself invincible and tried to kill Mario himself. He just seems to not think through most of his plans, which I tend to do. D:
That and he's not really a bad guy. Sure he wants to rule Mushroom Kingdom, tried to take over the Galaxy, took over Dinosaur Land, but he's really not a bad guy. He kidnaps the princess because he loves her and can't do anything about it besides kidnapping her and forcing her to marry him (notice how he's never raped her in any of the games, yeah sure kid's games, but still he hasn't done that but did plan a wedding a few times between the two) So he's not really that evil, just very hopeless. I mean really, if I was a ruler of a bunch of evil turtles (along with other minions) and had his strength and technology I would be doing the same damn thing, trying to take over the world while kidnapping the woman I love. ;_;
