Faranie's grumblings had finally quieted after a sevenday of near constant anger following the hatching. In the end there was nothing she could do. She'd not impressed, and she couldn't change that; she had to move forward and suck it up. If only to bother Gar more.

Today she'd been given the chore of cleaning out old weyrs that had been used for storage. There were supposed to be others with her helping, but they hadn't shown up. Well she would still get the job done. That'd show the candidate master she was still of value. Pah, dumb weyrlings didn't have to do chores anymore...

She hefted a box full of Faranth knew what and made her way to the door. She kicked it open and made to slip through, but a slight resistance on the door gave her pause. "Is that you guys who should be helping me? You're late! Get in here already!" She hissed. "If the candidate master knows you're late I'll get in trouble too!"

Kadri's eyes narrowed as someone grumped at him and he stood where he was, a few feet back from the door, and crossed his arms. His task had been to retrieve a few things from this weyr but it seemed someone was in the process of clearing it out... and that their partner had yet to arrive.

Hm... Arching a brow, the Harper Apprentice grinned as he toed away a box she must have set before the door previously, "Is that how you greet every person who comes your way?" The twin's voice had a slightly musical tone to it - both of theirs did. It came from the constant practice.

Aydin had just finished up on another chore he'd been given and was kind of wandering the halls just a bit - exploring before he reported back to be given something else to do. He'd gotten done early, so hey ... what was the harm?

Then he heard his twin's voice and smiled, peeking around a corner. Aah, there he was. Catching the tail end of Kadri's words, he sauntered into that outer room. "Yea... you should be nice to my brother or I might have to teach you a lesson or something," he mock-threatened, his tone lightly teasing.

"Sorry!" Rayale offered up, far more sheepish about the chastisement than the other two. "I had to find someplace to keep Rikk and Skyborn out of trouble." These were his flits, both blues, one light and the other dark, and both clearly a handful for the young man, though he was trying to keep a better handle on them, afraid they would prevent him from impressing.
Of course at least he could tell those two apart, unlike Aydin and Kadri...
He'd been sort of hoping he'd seen the last of twins when he'd left his own family back at the hold, but, so far, knock on wood, these two hadn't tried to pull a prank on him yet.

Terisa was already panting in her effort to not be late to her chores. It hadn't been easy for her to understand the directions that she had been given in the kitchens, and she greatly hoped that the candidate master hadn't checked up on her cleaning yet. As she finally arrived at the correct weyr, the dark haired girl was quite surprised to see a number of people already at the entrance. Gulping to herself, she knew that she had to get to the task, otherwise she would get extra chores, or worse.... Clearing her throat a bit, Terisa tried to edge past the people standing near the door and get into the weyr to get started.

When she saw a girl already carrying boxes, she grimaced, "I-I'm so sorry I'm late... I got lost...."

Faranie huffed at the first fellow who revealed himself. Was that any way to talk to a lady? "No, just those who're in my way when I have a heavy object in my arms, and when said person should be helping me already. Unless you're not supposed to be helping me, in which case you're just getting in the way." Suffice to say that since the hatching a bit of Far's control over herself had taken a temporary leave of absence. She was prone to snapping even more than usual, and was no longer playing the dainty little pretty girl. She raised a brow when the copy of the first boy appeared. She smirked at Aydin's words and mimicked his tone back at him. "Well perhaps you should teach your brother some manners. Like not standing in the way of someone who's trying to actually work."

Ah, it seemed her partners had arrived. She managed a more honest smile at Rayale. "I suppose you're still late, but at least you weren't sleeping or something. Grab that box, then if anyone comes by you can say you've been here."

And to Terisa Far simply shrugged and nodded for her too to grab something. Not everyone had been born here, most newcomers did get lost. So long as it wasn't a regular thing when she was paired with someone she wouldn't gripe to badly about it.

As if it were some coincidence, there was a thump near the entrance of the weyr right after Faranie mentioned sleeping. A muffled yelp was also heard. A few moments later, Denik stepped in, rubbing his forehead. The green flit on his shoulder scolded him and promptly disappeared.

"Ouch...I fell asleep by the water outside and the candidatemaster found me and sent me here. I guess I wasn't completely awake until I hit that wall."

"I would have offered to help but you seem to be handling the box quite well on your own. Unless, of course, the lady wishes I step from the task at hand to assist her? I have my own chores to, one of which to bring some things out of storage." He smiled as he tilted his head, "Perhaps I am, but I doubt it." Brow arched high on his head, he was rather surprised at the gruffness of this girl...

And it was about then that his firelizards popped into existence near him in response to the agitation they'd felt from him. Cene settled on his shoulder and Felicitas mrred at Faranie, protecting her bonded from thing that made him feel not-good.

Well, geez, he hadn't meant to be rude, really. Sighing slightly, Aydin moved out of the way for a moment. "If you need more help, I'm not doing anything right now," he offered after a minute or two of watching them.

But unless they actually asked him to help, it was more likely he'd just be annoying so he tried to stay out of the way.

His own flitt, Rynin, popped in quite suddenly and flew about the room, finally landing on his shoulder and crooning in an ear.
