Well, if we're not worthy for something, it identifies us as not being in the correct state to adequately understand and gain experience from that thing which we are barred from.

Worthiness is important because it's almost like our way of showing our Heavenly Father that we respect His ways and are making an earnest effort to follow Him.

very good. in Doctrine and Covenants 107: 100 it says. He that is slothful shall not be counted worthy to stand, and he that learns not his duty and shows himself not approved shall not be counted worthy to stand. Even so. Amen.
now what does this scripture mean?

It's an admonition against procrastination. We have to do our duty and perform the work set out for us if we hope to gain any reward.

in the Bible's topical guide it says to see also cleanliness, dependability, faithfulness, honorable, meet, noble, priesthood, quilifying for; purification, repentance, righteousness.
these are all a part of worthiness, and in some cases (like the priesthood) you have to be worthy in order to gain the gift of the priesthood.
out of the words given, what strikes your minds the most? or are there anyother words that you think of when you think of worthiness?
