i go to LHS in Sioux Falls, SD and this year we were the first band to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade... i was just wonderin if anyone went on any major trips and if they wanted to share amazing stories cause we all know that band trips always have the best stories hehe

well, over the 2007-2008 christmas break, my band went to Italy for the Rome New Years day parade. we went all over northern Italy and we saw the pope and were blessed by him. it was pretty cool.

i'm jealous of overseas travel... our school only goes to NYC or Pasadena... but thats pretty much it

Major trips?
Well, over the 2008-2009 winter break, our football team made the Las Vegas Bowl so our entire marching band got to go to Vegas and perform during that game. We got to stay in the Venitian. It was beautiful! Although it was kind of funny how the gate to the field where we were going to practice was locked when we got there to rehearse so we all just hopped the fence. xD
Oh! And I actually just got back from Miami last night. The pep band got to go with the basketball team and we stayed in a five star hotel and we even got money to buy food. And since our game was in the evening and we flew out with the team two days before, we had a lot of free time to wander around Miami. It was amazing! I learned that you can fit 6 people inside of the shower at the Epic Hotel. n__n

the old bd in our school used to take big trips EVERY year. now we just take small trips like last year we went to indy to watch west side story at a dinner theatre. This year we're going to go see footloose at some college in Southern Missouri. but i heard my senior year I heard we're going somewhere HUGE like NYC.

Our next proposed trip is a cruise round the Greek Islands. We've been to spain, france, belguim etc all over Europe.

A few people, myself included, are going on a Europe trip. 7 countries in 16 days.

We're just traveling to Cedar Point in Ohio for a contest.
