So yesterday, a friend and I decided to watch a movie for our girls' night out. I've been pining to watch this since I saw the trailer when we watched Twilight.

She disliked Knowing, mainly because it was suspense. And the "creepy alien/angel people are too random." wink

I should warn you that I might slip and give away something in the next paragraphs sooo... if you're not interested in spoilers, skip till the end. whee

I thought it wasn't that bad. The special effects were not crappy. The story was pretty much consistent. The prescence of the "creepy alien/angel people" was explained by the end. So was the voices in the children's heads. And there was a bunch of Biblical allusion to it.

However, I especially disliked Nicholas Cage's monotnous tone throughout the movie. It would also be better if they clarified the "creepy people" a bit; it was implied that they were angels, but what's with the stones and the dark outfit?

Either way, I liked how they twisted Noah's Ark a bit: wipe out the world through fire instead of water, get the children so the world would start pure, and add a tree as a sign of reconciliation instead of the rainbow.

arrow But that's my 2 cents. What does everyone else think?
