Where had everyone gone? Looking around, he saw no one. In fact, he didn't see anything at all. Not even a bird hopped through the tree branches. Yelling out in frusteration and fear, the male ran, practically flying through the brush. They'd left him again! He knew it! He had to find them again! "Don't leave me!"
Waking with a yelp, Caleb bolted upright, panting like he'd just been out running. He blinked sleep heavy eyes. That's right. He'd been swimming all morning, and had taken a rest in the sand... He shook his body out to fight off the lingering effects off the dream. Stupid...

Genesis had heard Caleb yelp and with curiosity poked her head into his clearing on the river shore. "Your scaring all they prey away" she said playfully slipping her sleek body into the clearing by the river. "I guess you don'thave to worry about that with fish though" she winked at him.

Caleb turned toward the familiar voice as a warm relief, and something else warm and fluffy feeling, filled his body. He wasn't alone... "Only when I'm in the water do I have to be quiet." He said with a smirk, relaxing. "You can splash in the water to scare the fish if you want though." He said, smirk growing. He knew she didn't like the water very much.

Genesis shuddered ever so slightly at the mention of water, she hated it ever so. "I would rather not" she said trying to keep up her playfulness. Genesis had moved her den farther from her mother and closer to Caleb. She lived in a part of the woods where the small critters would scurry in plenty but far enough from the river where she didn't worry about falling in.

Laughing, Caleb trotted over to Genesis and pawed lightly at her. "I'll get you liking water yet. You'll see." He smiled brightly, tailed fluffed in amusement. "So, what are you up to for today? Besides getting mad at me for scaring the prey away."

"I do not think that is possible" she said laughing at her friend. Smiling to herself she said "here if you want to try let's lay near the river I at least like the babbling sound it makes. Genesis was calm around Caleb and content with the time she spent with him, from the adventures to the ;azy times spent enjoying the sun and the babble of the river.

Caleb flicked his tail. "Nah. I've been napping here for a while now. I thought you were hunting anyway. Still hungry?" He tilted his head, looking at where Genesis had sprung from. He almost felt bad. Had she been chasing something when he'd woken?

Genesis sighed and flipped to her back playfully. "Yes you look a little bedraggled" she giggled. "No I am fine I caught a squirrel and a rabbit today so I am full and you?" she asked him flipping over again.

Caleb blushed softly and brushed at his head to smooth the fur, with little success. "Been fishing all morning. It's why I fell asleep here." He smiled and went to lay next to her, poking her with a paw. "So hanging out it shall be then." He flicked his tail, saw it, and tried to smooth the fur there as well, again to no avail. He glared at his tail. Maybe he should chase it. Teach it a lesson.

Genesis giggled at her friend blushing and trying to no avail to smooth his coat. She thought it was cute when he blushed and she thought he was adorable with his scraggly. Seeing him eying his tail she smiled and said "It's ok I was just joking around" with a wink.

Caleb blushed even more, neck shrinking into his shoulders bashfully. "Maybe, but you're right. I am a bit ruffled it seems." He looked at the river and smiled. "All I need is a swim! That'll smooth it right down!"

"Well let me help you then" she said swiping her paw at his face hoping to make him jump and splash into the river. She giggled as she did this and was having a lot of fun.

Caleb yelped when a paw was suddenly in his face, rolling away from Genesis. He jumped up before he fell into the water though, turning and crouching at the female, hind end up in the air. His tail twitched playfully. "Don't make me take you in there with me!" He growled around his smirk.

Genesis walked calmly up to him and put her muzzle lightly on his should and said "sorry" looking up at him with big eyes before tapping him with her paw and saying "tag your it" and bolting. She was in a very playful moodand very happy because her mother finally accepted her going.

Tail tucking down as she moved closer, Caleb watched suspiciously. Looking up at him, he could hardly resist smiling into those pretty silver pools... What?! He nearly blushed again, but her play distracted him. His eyes widened in suprise before laughing out loud and jumping after her. "I won't be it for long!" He yipped, chasing after the sleek female.
