Recently I've been doing some research on these two cars and which one is the better vehicle to choose. My mother is looking for a new car at the moment and these are the closest that fit her criteria when it comes to price, options, performance, and overall best bang for the buck.


The 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS is slightly cheaper, but I don't believe its a significant difference. Although the subwoofer is a neat thing and the navi is user friendly, which are two pluses my mom would like.

On the other hand, the 2010 Mazda 3 s Grand Touring has a better interior and leather, amongst a few other things that the Lancer doesn't have, but the navigation seems to be a little more complicated to use, but it might be alright for my mom. It also looks more mature if you ask me, I don't think she'd want a car with a huge spoiler on it. But hey I don't know.

So I just wanted to get some input from you guys on which you think is a overall better vehicle for the amount of money, and if you have any other alternatives for cars that are similar and are around that price range it'll be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I couldn't find one for the 2009 Lancer but I did find some for the 08'.

Yeah it is most definitely an eye catcher. Only if Mitsubishi can come up with some new designs for the rest of their line up. The Eclipse isn't very pleasing, the Galant makes me want to throw up, and their suv's are just plain bland.

Yeah, she has test driven both of them, and she didn't really say anything about the Lancer and its drive, but she liked the way the Mazda wasn't sluggish feeling, it seemed like a slight tap at the pedal would propel you forward. She also thinks Mazda is more comfortable.
