My friend asked me this question a while back and the only thing that popped into my head was the story line. I mean the whole idea behind it is mind boggling, can you imagine if Halo actually existed, or the flood. Anyway, why do you guys play Halo.

Mine would be storyline and Gamplay.
Storyline:
I like the storyline because it isn't cleche, Infact it stated the cleche for other game storylines ^^,
Also flood and covenent and one man that can defend "Earth" who has had his sex drive taken away is all too awesome.
Gameplay:
Offline gameplay, The AI system isn't bad, the controlls are simple and easy to grasp and it all flows so easily
Offline gameplay. The Halo community is the best community ever, sure you get some Idiots that complain about every game but well lets not talk about them, How ever the rest of them are great.
Also the online gameplay is totally diffrent from offline, Online you have to be more stratigic and more full on, just to get those kills.

Best way to compare this would be with a loving relationship.
You meet the girl and she's absolutely beautiful. That's what makes you start to get into her. Then as you get to know her more, you start loving her personality and pretty much everything about her.
Well with Halo, I played the story mode at my uncle's house(this was when Halo first came out btw) and I left amazed at the fun I had. So then I started to get into it, but once I beat Campaign, the multiplayer really kept me coming back. Not to mention the amazing sequels wink
