Alric traipsed into the training grounds, infuriated with humans. He hoped to release some pent-up anger that had accumulated while he refrained from killing people spontaneously. He sighed, walking over to a large pillar. He brushed his knuckles down with resin before beginning to pummel the pillar with all his strength.

"Ah! Dear Alric, it seems I'm not the only one seeking to better my fighting skills," Arsenie grinned, waltzing over to Alric. He smiled at the taller man, "I do hope you might be willing to teach me something; Master Rayne is always nagging me that I need to work on my techniques - maybe you can help me wow him with something he hasn't taught me, yet?"

Alric glared over at the young male, intruding on his personal time. he crossed his arms as the pillar he had been smacking crumbled down behind him. "What's in it for me?" he knew the kid had nothing, and just hoped the question would make the man leave him be.

Arsenie thought a moment, tapping his pointer finger to his lower lip as he thought. Finally, he dropped his hand, a grin spreading across his face, "I'm sure a fine young man, like yourself would like a date to the upcoming ball, Kameo's holding - I could get you a date if you helped me train?" he suggested.

Alric snorted, "A date? You've got to be out of your little mind." he turned away, hoping he made it clear to Arsenie to leave him be, "The only thing I'm going to be doing at that ball is guarding the tombs; I don't need a date for that."

"Guarding the tombs, eh? Maybe we could work a deal with Kameo to get me to stand guard with you," he elbowed Alric as a playful gesture, "It's better than being alone, don't you think?"

Arsenie wrapped his arms around Alric in glee, "I knew you'd understand! You won't regret it!" he grinned, releasing the larger man, "Now where do you think I should search to find Kameo?"

A shadow fell over Alric's face. Arsenie was greatly invading his space, and wasting his patience. "If I were him, I would be hiding," Alric growled, "Maybe you should start by leaving the training grounds?"

"Ah! What a fantastic idea!" Arsenie smiled, "I heard that the graveyard should be opening about now! Maybe I'll see you there?" he grinned at Alric one last time before striding out, heading to the festivities.

Rayne shook his head back, running his fingers through his hair. He needed to put up his hair sometimes when he fought. Though, most the time he only put up his hair was during a serious battle. For training guards, he didn't even care.

Tristi walked behind Rayne, watching him carefully before turning her gaze to those already on the grounds. "Seems we're not alone, eh?"

"They can deal," Rayne said with a small chuckle.
He finished tying his hair up in a topknot. His arms swung down to his sides as he walked into the weapons shed. He came out with a halberd - his best tool. Sure, he got a scholarship with the kendou club, but halberds were much more fun.

Tristi took off her cloak and laid it down on the ground next to a wall, before unsheathing her sword. She smiled when Rayne came out with an axe. "So, what kind of sparring match are we gonna have?" she asked, moving her sword around her, reminding herself of the almost forgotten skill.

Rayne rested the halberd across his shoulders, wrapping his arms around the stave-like weapon.
"Depends. What kind of match do you want? Magic or no?" he asked with a small smile on his face.
