A Guide to the Art of Orb Farming

When I was your age, son, we had to sift through garbage cans for orbs.

A little lazy to write anymore, so....`-`

Here you can find a short guide to farming some of
zOMG's best farm spots. It's by no means perfect and we're
not claiming to be experts at this: It's just the protocols
that have worked for us in some of these spots.
It's also not complete - we're just listing as we go~

You may use this information to advance and help others in game;
however, please don't copy and post this elsewhere! I'm sure I'm
not the only one with a guide like this out there, but at least all the
information I wrote in here is from my own head. Thanks!

heart Encourage your team-mates! Good morale goes a long way.

heart Politely kick out people who can't listen to directions.
However, if you think they just don't know protocol, kindly
take a moment to teach them what you're going to do.

Good crew members shouldn't be subjected to nasty treatment.

She-Wolf Destruction.
Important Notes in olive color~

Location: The She Wolf's Den, southwest of the Null Crystal in Bass'ken Lake.
Requirements: CL 5.1 or below, people who are green in relation to you are best.


heart First, click the Shout Chat (the red-pink one) and ask
if anyone wants to She-Wolf farm. Make sure both your
chat-window and your typing box are set to Shout so you can see responses!

heart Try to recruit a full party, which is best. A party of 3-4 will only net
you 5-6 orbs, while a party of more should net you 10-12.
(Full party of six means 12 orbs per kill!)

heart When you think your party is enough, (you might need to settle
with 4-5 if there aren't many farmers at the moment)
designate ONE PERSON to go in as the First. This is because
the first outlaw pup spawn stage spawns more
depending on how many people are in the room with you.

If anyone disputes to say that more wolves means orbs, reasoning is simple:
We are here to She Wolf Farm. If we wanted to pup farm,
we would just sit outside, wouldn't we? More pups in the first stage
wastes everyone's time because it takes longer to get to She Wolf.
She Wolf always drops orbs and is much more stable.

heart The First should go in, kill the first two pups that spawn,
and IMMEDIATELY tell everyone else to come in!
If you don't tell everyone on time, you might die. 3nodding

NOTE: As you may have noticed, you cannot enter the Den until
all the wolves outside have been disposed of. Make sure
everyone knows this! Occasionally you can go in even with
a wolf outside, but this is quite rare and you shouldn't
depend on it.

heart Kill the next Outlaw Wolf Pup, which should be yellow to you
and a bit harder. The crew should be already in the room
to help with this. Then, kill the next one or two regular pups.
Now get READY!

Funny Boss Tip: Duneslam Slamming

I think the little known fact here is that, unlike She-Wolf spawn,
Duneslam's spawn increases no matter what time the other crew members come in.
After listening to other people's woes about crews being demolished,
as well as listening to people tell me Duneslam is best with small crews,
I wondered if I could make my crew so small, it would be just me.
Alone.


Location: Jacque's Rowboat, east of the Null Crystal on Gold Beach.
Requirements: CL 7.1 or below, I soloed at 7.1.


heart When I was alone, Yellow labeled Revenants DID NOT APPEAR.
Don't know if I was just lucky.

heart Sand Golems spawned one at a time, then two at a time.
Never more. Sit between kills to heal stamina, but keep a finger on the lock-on
tilda so you know when a new spawn is coming towards you.

heart After wasting a lot of Super Charger Batteries, I realized this crucial point:
DUNESLAM CAN'T CATCH YOU
IF YOU RUN AROUND THE ISLAND IN A CIRCLE! WTFSLOW?

heart Keep running and healing. (I used Diagnose.) After you regain stamina, hit him
a few more times, and then start running again.
Repeat, and have patience - HE WILL DIE IF YOU RUN CAREFULLY.

heart I don't know if I was just lucky, but no more golems spawned
after Duneslam appeared when I was alone.

heart I just soloed him, so I know it works. It is possible!
Hope this works for you. Keep trying! The people waiting around
outside the boat couldn't believe it.


I'm sure it must be possible to do it with a crew as well, but for now, I don't
know about the best time to call others in besides maybe having one person
solo until Duneslam has appeared and all the golem spawn is dead.
This is just to let you know that soloing is a possibility as well! Enjoy~

So, farming seems to work again. There's a slight difference though. There are more waves that spawn so you have to kill around 4-5 pups (basically get to the second round of wolves) now.
