You could find anything on Gaia. There were days that Satika found this fact utterly charming. Though, to be honest, there were more days when her reactions could be characterized as 'horrified' and 'confused'. But, that was life. As it was, Satika was simply happy that a world that had given her two daughters, one clockwork, the other arachnid, there were also locations that catered to the special needs involved in caring for such children.

Such as this particular apothecary, which specialized in antivenoms. For the most part Taima had outgrown her stinging phase, but there were still... slip-ups. Cecelia was, thank the Goddess, apparently immune to the poisons. Satika was not. She found it useful to keep a regular supply within the household.

And so it was that she found herself browsing the rather extensive selection of other apothecary delights that the store offered. Powders and creams and liquids claiming to cure any ill. Cecilia was, for the moment, sleeping in the stroller. A fact evidence that her high pitched demanding screams could not be heard. Taima was trying to argue that they needn't be in the store in the first place.

"No sting mama!" She repeated, not for the first time.

((I know antivenom is a bit more complex than that... but it's Gaia. Magical antivenom store. Why not?))

Amanae, looking utterly panicked and horrified, burst through the door at a run. She was dragging her eldest daughter behind her, and clutching the other in her arms. The younger one looked very pleased with herself, and the older one was sobbing and pressing a hand to the side of her neck.

Amanae rushed to the counter, emptying her wallet onto it and demanding 'the usual.'

"Hn," The youngest one snorted contemptuously, disliking that this place was so very close by.

Satika turned as the obviously panicked woman rushed to speak to the lady behind the counter. Raised as she had been to react calmly in situations of blood and violence her expression shifted from detachment to gentle concern. In her world, all mother's were sisters. And if this was Gaia, and traditions were different, she remained the same.

"Excuse me, sister?" She called, crossing the space between them with a graceful, easy motion. Her words were gently accented, her voice low and soft. "If you will allow, I can hold the infant while you see to your wounded one."

She shifted Cecilia in her arms so that she could more easily hold two babies and glanced over her shoulder at where Taima still stood by the shelves. "I am accustom to dealing with dangerous little ones."

Indeed raising Taima had trained her to be quick at dodging vicious little tails, and if the woman allowed conversation, she'd recommend a sheath similar to the one that her own daughter wore.

"Ah, er, oh-?" Amanae blubbered, completely unsure as of what to say to this friendly woman. Generally people recoiled, screamed or ran in terror upon sight of her two hideously angry little girls. Spotting the little scorpion girl trailing behind the woman explained quite a lot, however.

"Oh, no it's okay," She forced a half-smile, pushing at her money on the counter and begging for the anti-venom to come soon.

Tierre, in the meantime, had focused her entire attention upon Cecelia. "Agaa, gaa, bahh," She informed the funny-looking girl sternly. Of course, by the time it came out of her mouth, not even she knew what she'd meant.

She was not particularly accustom to being rejected, particularly by a sister in need. But strange places meant strange customs, and she wasn't one to voice disapproval. If the woman wanted to juggle the needs of two children during such a time, it was her place. With a placid nod Satika began to step back, away from the scene, stopping only when she realized that the child in the woman's arms had taken Cecilia's attention.

Cecilia was not sure how she felt about being talked to. No one on this planet made sense. They all spoke strangely, with harsh, hurtful sounds, and only when the thing that carried her about and fed her sang or when she sang with her Kase Da did she feel at all at peace. This one's ugly sounds were no better.

In response, she made a high keening sort of sound that became something of a whistle as it fell. Her Kase Da, a jeweled clockwork bird flew above their heads before settling on her metallic arm joined in with a fluid soaring song.
