What if Victor did drink the poisen and married Emily? i wonder what would happen...would Lord Barkus kill Victoria,or would Victoria run away...hmm...post what you think here!!! and if you had your choice would you have Victor marry Emily or Victoria?

I like the way the story turned out. I don't think it could have got much better than that.

hmm...i think that it would have made me lose a lot of respect for the film. I think things turned out just beautifully,the way it should be. ^_^ *claps for tim*

Well obviously any Corpse Bride fan would answer Emily...
I think what could have happened was that after Lord Barcus is killed, Victor drinks the poison and Victoria watches Victor and Emily walk down the aisle, emily throws the bouquet to her and watches them kiss in the blue moonlight and is happy for them. And then the film ends.

I think what could have happened was that after Lord Barcus is killed, Victor drinks the poison and Victoria watches Victor and Emily walk down the aisle, emily throws the bouquet to her and watches them kiss in the blue moonlight and is happy for them. And then the film ends.hm..I'm a Corpse Bride fan and I answered Victoria ^_- I think Emily was just trying to be loved by someone because she had been waiting for so long for him to come back,and Victor clearly loved Victoria so the right choice was made. In my opinion.

As I said in the other thread, if Victor had married Emily, Barkis would've killed Victoria & we'd be back where we started.
The way it ends is the closest thing to a happy ending it could get, if Victor married Emily, he'd always be wondering "what if...".
Emily just needed closure. Victor & Victoria needed each other. Any true fan, would understand that & know that the movie (especially the ending) is perfect as is.
I love Emily as much as the next person, but she & Victor were not meant to be together.

Frankly, I think poor Emily got incredibly lonely having no one but the Land of the Dead's inhabitants for company. (BoneJangles is lovely, but he has to get irritating at some point!)
As for Victoria, she and Victor were going to end up together the whole time, anyway (Trust me, when you've seen as many predictable movies as I have, you know that when two characters are named like that, they HAVE to end up together. It's a rule, or something.).
And as for Barkis? I don't know if he would have killed Victoria or if Victoria would have just run for it.
And if Victor had drunk the poison? He just wouldn't have. You don't do suicide in a PG movie. Not like that, anyway. It's twisted even on a Tim Burton scale (no offense, Tim! You're awesome!).
All in all, I think the movie was spectacular the way it is. *more applause for Tim (and for Danny Elfman, as well, for creating the fantasic music, just because I can)*

And then the film ends.I agree, Emily is SOOOOO much prettier and she takes REAL steps! Not tiny hops..... So Emily was oviously the best choice, but Men are just stupid that way i guess....
