Two rooms make up the alchemy classroom. The first is for the average student. It resembles a chemistry laboratory. Seven long lab tables seat about ten or so students. Various beakers, flasks, and other instruments line the walls and cabinets. One locked cabinet has CORROSIVES painted across the front while a few other locked cabinets have CAUTION painted across the front.

The second room is reserved only for those students who have proven themselves worthy enough to really begin studying alchemy. The room is more secure than every missile silo on earth, Air Force One, nuclear reactors, and the personal safe of Henry Winston of 113 Smithston Lane, Glasgow, England. The room itself is lighted solely by candles with no windows and resembles more of a dungeon. Several raised pedestals hold transmutation circles of various complexities. Tapestries on the walls depict seven different people with descriptions on plaques below them.

Hiro stands at the front of a classroom in front of a desk. "So. You are the few who were allowed to take my class. The few who have proved they aren't a worthless lump of flesh sitting in a chemistry room. Chem I, Chem II, Chem III. All classes that you blew by as a heavy weight lifter would pick up a five pound weight." He grabs a beaker from his desk, dropping several coins into it. They quickly dissolve away into nothing. He then takes a metal rod connected to a high-power battery and sticks it in the middle of the beaker. After a few seconds the rod had a fairly thick iron coating. "An experiment all of you have done before you even thought of walking into this room. But have you done this?" He removes the power source from the rod and the iron coat dissolved quicker than it appeared. He dropped a small tablet into the water, turning it a deep purple. Soon the water solidified. He popped it out of the beaker and smacked the purple thing once against the side of the desk. The purple substance fell away revealing a series of coins stuck to the metal rod. "Tell me, what do you expect to gain from learning alchemy? Gold? Fame? Long Life? Curiosity? Or could it be something more? Something only theorized about. Something very few can reveal as true and pure. Something capable of gold, fame, and long life." He reaches into his robe and pulls out a deep maroon stone about half as big as a doorknob. He holds it out for a few moments before returning it to his robe. "Now who is ready to begin?" After a few moments he chuckled and cleaned up his mess. He sat down at his desk and looked into the empty classroom. He grinned and leaned back in his chair against the wall, setting his feet on his desk.
