Doctor Ronchas looked at the list of children who were to visit the shop today. Next up were Adriana and Liliana Lucarium. Parents: Lithanus and Japi Lucarium; Powers: Pscionics and Plant-shaping, respectively. Notes: Mother has a mysterious background outside Gaia's metaphysical understanding. Must gain more information.
Ronchas grinned and hummed to himself. She'd be coming in today with the children. She was always the one to bring them in. It would give him another chance to study her.

"I'm so sorry to have to ask you Sekenre," she pleaded with her hands grasping his. "I just can't make it today. We've had an emergency with one of my other kids, and I just can't leave it to the others to take care of." Japi really hated asking others to take over for her. She felt irresponsible, but she knew that rescheduling a doctor's appointment because of interdimensional trouble would definitely pique some interest in her origins, and she really just couldn't have that. "I'd ask Krillo, but his arm, and all," she explained. "It would probably cause a ruckus."

"Is the Druid's arm that much of an issue here? I'm sure I could come up with a way to suppress the Treant spirit and appease these Gaians." Sekenre shrugged. "But I guess we don't have time for that do we? Alright Japi, I'll do it for you and Lithanus... and the girls as well."
He stood, looked himself over and said. " I guess I should go change out of these rags then. Oh, and how does the good doctor take to dimension hoppers like us?"
He was still in what he called his peasant rags, the clothes that he wore before he came to power. On his way to the guest room, he called back, "You might want to take Krillo just in case his abilities are needed."

"Thank you Sekenre!" she called after him. "And you're probably right, I'll talk to Krillo."
She dashed out to the backyard where Lilly and Krillo were relaxing and began to talk with him.

Sekenre puts on his hat, "Okay kids, ready? Japi, how do I look? "Normal" enough for these Gaians?"

Japi squealed. "You look awesome Sekenre!" She hugged him. "Perfectly normal."
"Okay girls, time to go!" she called into their room.

"Thank you...I think. I don't like hiding Japi. Heh. Can't be helped I guess. I hope everything works out for the others that you are going to see. Don't worry about the girls, I'll take care of them. Contact me should you need my help."
Sekenre looked at the girls, "All right kiddos, lets go."
At the Doctor's Office:
"Hi, yes, we're here to see Dr. Ronchas."

Selma looked up, and was about to utter her usual monotone command to sit and wait for the doctor when he burst right out of his office. Had he been listening for them? Usually he was quite busy with... whatever in the back room, but today he was excited. Whatever. Selma rolled her eyes and went back to her magazine.
"Hello there!" Ronchas was indeed excited. This was stage two of all of his work, and one of the very first childhood checkups he would have with any of the twins. He was admittedly disappointed to see someone other than their mother, but he wouldn't let it bother him. "You're a new face," he said holding out his hand. "I'm Doctor Ronchas."

Addy frowned. Here he was again. She remembered him because she'd been there before. This was one of the people who's mind she could never enter, who's thoughts never leaked into her consciousness. Was he a pscion too? She had never really thought about it before, could someone be able to shut their mind off from others without being able to read others? She looked over at Sekenre and decided she'd ask him later, if he didn't already know what she was thinking.
What she was thinking... what if the doctor saw that thought too? Addy quickly shielded herself as best she could without looking intensely desperate.

Lilly could sense her sister's tension and wondered what it was about Doctor Ronchas that made her nervous.

"CALM YOURSELVES" Sekenre told they girls psionically.
Sekenre shook the doctor's hand.
"Nice to meet you. I am Sekenre," he gave a shallow bow to the doctor, a gesture that few received, "the girl's uncle and long time friend of Japi and Lithanus. Unfortunately they were unable to attend today's check up."
"Forgive my naivety, but what happens in these check ups?" He had been raised long before modern hospitals and once he came into power, had never needed to attend one.

Lilly hadn't expected to be spoken to telepathically by someone other than her sister. It startled her, but it made sense. He obviously felt Addy's nervousness and she resigned herself to letting him handle it.

"It's all the usual," Ronchas replied gleefully. "I'll just check all the vitals, heartbeat, blood pressure, ears, nose, throat." He listed off each one as he counted the items on one hand. "I'll also be giving them their booster shots today. They're due for the usual preventatives."

"Oh, okay." Sekenre was clearly unsure about the process; modern medicine baffled him.
"I trust you wouldn't mind if went in with the girls? It would prove to be an educational experience and I'm sure the girls would be more comfortable if I were around."
Addy, what did I say about prying? It could be dangerous and if he knows what you are doing, it could be taken as rude. We'll talk more about this later when we get you back to your mother's house okay? And don't worry, I'm not mad.
