Morning was apparent as the sun began to rise, flowers and the ocassional dragora, both speckled with dew droplets, beganing to uncurl their petals to offer towards the sunflight. And on days like these, Silver, brave raptor unwavered by such weather, was able to easily rise from a light slumber. Light feet padded against the rough terrain, something that plantlife was barely able to toughen up.

The raptor, her sure footsteps precise and cocky, headed for an area more densely populated by plant life and the ocassional trees [until it thickened into a forest]. She had only traveled for ten, fifteen minutes when she paused to observe a grand tree, admiring the large trunk's width... And in the corner of her eye, she caught sight of something.

...A butterfly? Giddy with delight, she stalked the insect with her eyes, watching its path absent-mindedly while plotting whether she would capture it and study it in her claws, or allow it to continue to flutter.

Morning had come just as quickly as night had fallen for the mutant raptor. The large bundle of fluff had found refuge amongst a few tall rocks that had served well to keep to elements at bay the night before, and now obstructed the sun's rays from waking him. He'd wandered away from home the previous day, and had been unaware of how far he'd actually gone, and such had camped out under the stars for a night. Not that his family would worry, it'd happened on occasion, and to all his siblings at one time or another. Skylar had been given a bad sense of direction from birth and often got lost when he wandered away. Thankfully things were easy. For to him home was not a where (specific areas were hard to find!) so much as a who (the scent of those you've been around for your whole life were so easy to find), and with his family's migratory ways they would meet up eventually.

So without a care the large raptor slept, and probably would've continued until the sun peaked through the rocks had not a tiny blue butterfly deemed his nose a perfect perch. It started with a sniffle, followed by ample twitching until he jerked and finally sneezed himself awake. Red eyes wide with surprise blinked owlishly at his surroundings as he stirred, glancing around suddenly for the disturbance. Luckily enough the small insect had somehow survived and was fluttering back towards him (albeit in a bit of a lop-sided manner).

"Oh..." Skylar's voice was groggy with sleep as he blinked at the creature, his eyes crossing as it landed on his nose. "Good morning to you, Mr. Flutterby. However I should advise your against doing that again..." As if to emphasize this his nose twitched again a few times. Fortunately the small creature learned from it's mistakes and took off again this time fluttering off towards a small group of nearby flowers.

"Hey, wait~" The mutant called after, standing on his still sleeping limbs as he stumbled after the tiny butterfly. "You're my only company this morning flutterby~ Please don't....Hey wait up!" Finished with the flowers the blue insect took off once again, and the similar colored raptor tumbled on after it.

Abruptly a loud crunching rustle could be heard as some large creature crashed through the forest's undergrowth, completely oblivious of anyone else who might be there. "Here, kitty kitty!" called a dopey-sounding voice. A white raptor with an absurd purple top hat thrust his head through a screen of vines and looked around. "Patches! Paaatcheees!" Mr. Buttons called cheerily, before noticing the butterfly.

"Pretty!" he chirped, his search forgotten. He lunged to chase after the insect, but the vines he'd put his head through caught on his neck and shoulders. He looked down at them sadly, then tried to back out. No luck there; his hat and vest caught on them, and while he could have extracted himself with a bit of patient work, he did not see that. He started flailing and thrashing, only getting himself more and more entangled.

He'd started to whimper when a meow made him look down. By his feet was a calico Kat, who looked up at him as he tail waved gently. "Patches, I found you!" cried the raptor again, happy to see his pet. "Help me get loose, Patches." Without waiting for an answer (not that any was given anyway), he resumed trying to escape the vines and failing horribly.

[[ Assuming that it's two different butterflies~ 8D ]]

She decided against the latter option; Silver chased after the small bug, delicate wings moving with ease in the dead wind while Silver's now-clumsy steps stumbled around, her eyes set on only the butterfly. Which would be her down fall...

...As the raptor lurched forward to catch the butterfly, the bug flew up and out of reach. But though there was nothing to chase, on the contrary, there was something to run into. A foot landed on a long object, striped black, orange and white like a calico. Feeling the soft fur under her foot, she swiftly attempted to get off of it, only to run into another raptor, pure white and with clothes and.... Flailing and thrashing about his limbs to be set free though it showed only the effect of making him more entwined with the vines. And had she been paying attention, she would of seen it a long time ago, she could of avoided this easily. Of course, she didn't, and this was only the most unlikely thing to happen.

Thus she was caught into his tangled mess with the raptor. The female raptor giggled uncontrollably, first a low muffled sound until it turned into uncontrollable, hysterical laughter. "OHMYGAWD did you see that? The buggy was just like 'SWOOSH! UP UP AND AWAY!' and I was like "HEY LOOK I'M STEPPING ON SOMETHING!' and I like jumped and then I was like 'CRAAAAASH KABOOM!' and you were like.... What were you like?" She stared at him with wide eyes, or whatever part she could see. Silver shifted her body, shaking herself in attempt to get the vines off of them. No effect.

((If Skylar ends up being the reasonable one...we might have problems...XD))

The large raptor continued to follow after his new found friend, the movements serving to wake his body up. As he followed his steps became steps instead of stumbles as he happily had a one-way conversation with the small insect. Journeying farther and farther into the trees his little morning excursion was brought to a halt with the sound of commotion up ahead. "Eh...?" The sounds stopped momentarily and Skylar wondered if it was safe to proceed. Sure enough the sound of laughter was soon to follow and the mutant raptor tilted his head quizzically before cautiously moving on. Laughter was a good thing....right?

Remembering his early companion he paused for a moment and turned in the direction the butterfly had take and waved. "Goodbye, little flutterby! Stay safe."

With that taken care of he continued through the brush with the ease of one used to travel and heavily forested areas. It took only a few moments for him to stumble upon the other two, however he'd no intentions of joining the pile of tangled limbs and side-stepped the katt that was sitting nearby watching.

"Ummm....excuse me! Are you" casting a quick glance over the two to count, "two alright? Need any help?" He did manage to catch the female's words and one could almost see the proverbial sweat drop. What had he gotten himself into this time?

"Ack!" Mr. Buttons squawked when something crashed into him. After a moment of struggle, the raptor who crashed into him began to laugh. He grinned and laughed along, even though he wasn't sure what the joke was.

Hearing her question he said, "And I was all like, 'ACK something's run into me oh no!' and then we were both laughing and--" he stopped suddenly as another raptor came into view. He grinned at the newcomer as he started to speak.

"I'm fine!" he said to the new raptor, waving cheerily. Then he heard the second question and remembered what he'd been doing before the female raptor crashed into him: getting out of the vines. He lowered his head and hunched his shoulders sadly at the reminder, then peered up at the larger raptor, looking the very picture of a dejected animal in a trap. "Yeah, I can't get free," he said in a quiet, quivery voice that suited his sudden sadness perfectly.

"Yeah, like 'ACK SOMETHING'S RUN INTO ME OH NO!'." Silver giggled again. Catching sight of another raptor--but this time a fluffy mutant--she smiled wide, exposing her teeth. "Just dandy! Perfectly fine! I got this!" she exclaimed excitedly, the least bit perturbed at being in this mess. "OH! OH, you know what? I know what~ I know what to do!" she exclaimed, her eyes sharing a bright shine-whether from a practical idea or crazy action to be done was indecesive.

She took a deep breath. "Well acutally, hold that thought~ What's for breakfast? I'm just reaallyreeeeeaaaaally hungry you know? I feel like I haven't eaten in days which is prolly really bad but you know stuff like that happens, right? Hasthateverhappenedtoyou?" her words were stringing together as her mouth a mile a minute. She paused to take a breath. "Ever wondered have vines taste like? Maybe I should try it. Better late than never, you know? Am I right?"

Skylar visibly wilted at the white raptor's sad demeanor. "Alright hold on, I'll get you guys out~" With that said he stepped forward, watching his footing lest he end up tangled as well, and began picking and cutting away the vines with his claws.

Then the female raptor opened her mouth.

After she was done, silence hung in the air. Skylar had paused to listen and could only stare at her with wide blinking eyes. He took a moment to try and decipher what language the other had spoken, and to recover from topic whiplash of what he already understood. "Ummmm...." The fluffy male distracted himself with the removal of more vines as he began to formulate a response to what he thought were actual questions meshed in the lines of gibberish.

"Uh...not that I can remember. The little raptor in my stomach usually gets mad and starts growling if I don't eat. So I eat on a regular basis." Skylar raised his arm, gazing at the vines hanging from his claws as he pondered the second question. "I really dunno. Other kimera eat them so they can't be dangerous, or taste too bad." With his curiosity piqued he stared at them for a moment before his better judgment won out and he tossed them off to the side. With his luck it'd end up being some of that itchy ivy stuff his brother had gotten into when he was younger. He didn't want his insides to be itchy.

Seeing that the bigger raptor was getting the vines away, Mr. Buttons perked up. His head raised alertly and he started to grin, while his tail wagged rapidly like an excited puppy's. "Thanks a lot!" he yelled. He watched the vine removal for a moment, then suddenly asked, "Hey, you have a little raptor in your stomach? What does he eat? Does he eat what you've already eaten? That'd be pretty gross. I spit up some food I'd already eaten once and it was icky. I wouldn't want to eat that. Hey, do you want help?" His sudden non sequitur was prompted when he abruptly decided he ought to free himself too, now that he saw how it was done. Feeling proud of himself for figuring out what do to, and not waiting for a response from the fluffy raptor, he started slashing randomly at the vines around him with his claws.

"Ohmygawd there's a raptor in me? Araptorinaraptorohmygawd! That's like really exciting but really scarey at the same time. Especially since the food you spit up is all nasty and stuff and do you think that dragoras spit up our food that we spit up? Is that possible? That sounds kinda funny you know? Right? Right?" the raptor splurted out as the vines were being worked on getting ripped to shreds.

Silver impatiently waited until the vines were released, squirmishly moving from foot to foot or one side to another or sitting down or standing up. When finally released of the vines' tug, she giggled fiercely. "I'm Silver~!" she hummed out, her mouth curled into a pleasant smile.

((If Skylar goes insane by the end of this, I fully blame you two...XD))

Apparently the only way to cope at the moment was to focus on the vines. Tear them to itty bitty pieces and focus only on certain words and string them together in a way that would make sense. Because clearly, the female raptor had a few brain to mouth filters missing. The fluffy mutant didn't say anything though, just gave her a gentle smile when Silver introduced herself and then quickly curled back up in his mind to let his manners work on auto-pilot just to be safe. "I'm Skylar~"

Turning back to where the other male was currently freeing himself, he took a cautious step forward and plucked a few leafy bits from the others fur, and finally a piece of vine that was hanging from the brim of his hat. "What about you?" It was almost as an afterthought that he remembered the strange creature, who was unknown to him the cause of this fiasco. "And who's you're furry feline friend?" Skylar arched down slightly to give the calico a once over, before offering another smile.

Mr. Buttons gleefully leaped away from the tattered remains of the vines as the last of them were cleared away. "I'm free! Free, free~" he declared in a sing-song voice. Then he looked back at Skylar when the other raptor introduced myself. "I'm Mr. Buttons!" he said brightly with a broad smile. Then he blinked at the second question. "Furry, friend...feline? Wazzat?" He looked where the larger raptor was looking, thenpromptly forgot the question and smiled. "That's Patches," he said, unwittingly answering the question anyway. The Kat meowed up at Skylar, then trotted over to Mr. Buttons and jumped onto the white raptor's back.
