"Jaya, Jay sweety wake up. You've slept in quite a while," her mother cooed as Jaya yawned. She stretched then looked up at her mother. "Sleepy head," her mother chuckled. "Go find your sister and father, they're somewhere. If you catch them in time, you may earn how to fly."
Jayashri bounded out of the den. She felt her mother's eyes watching her until she was out of sight. "I can fly on my own," she huffed. Jaya headed off towards the lake. It was her favorite place, especially since nearly no one was ever there. "I'll teach myself." Yes she was a weird one, and yes she talked to herself a lot.

http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k70/Hinata54321/?action=view¤t=thAxRb2.png Lunar had finally gotten away from his two mothers and was floating a little ways off the ground. He was still learning to fly, but he could hover rather well. He kinda felt strange having two mothers, but it never lingered long.
He headed for a lake that was rather close to him. He stopped and landed when he spotted a blue infant talking to herself. A smile formed as he approuched. "Hey there."

Jaya was lazily walking about when she heard the voice behind her. She nearly jumped out of her skin as her eyes searched the land. "You nearly made me jump out of my skin and into the lake!" she said dramatically. With a huff of irritation, she put on a kind smile and greeted him, she was a lady after all. "Hello, I'm sorry for being so rude. I'm Jaya."
Although she was cub, she could talk quite a bit thanks to her mother teaching her non-stop. At that thought she rolled her eyes and laughed on the inside.

He chuckled, his eyes shining. "Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." He padded over to the cub, his wings pulled to his back. He circled her, then sat in front of her with a smile. "I'm Lunar. Who're you?" His head tilted as he looked at her coloring. "Ya know, your pretty. I like those colors."

She watched him suspiciously as he circled around her. What's he doing, she thought. "You're name suits you. You remind me of a calm night." She couldn't help but to notice his pretty, shining eyes.
Jaya softened at the compliment, her smile was now kind rather than an irritated fake one. "Oh why thank you, you're kind of cute yourself," she giggled lightly. "I'm Jayashri. Or I can go by Jaya or Jay. Whichever you like."

He smiled at her, tilting his head. "It does huh? Thanks." He smiled as his eyes shone with mischief. Maybe she liked to play games. That would be a lot of fun.
"I like your name. What about Jay Jay? Can I call you that?" He chuckled and stood up, then turned and flicked his tail around in front of her playfully.

Jaya scrunched up her face as his tail brushed in front of her face. "Jay Jay? It sounds too girly. . .I guess I could let you call me that," Jaya grinned and turned to face him.
"Only if you can catch me," she teased. Before running off, Jaya whacked at his tail playfully, and then she was gone. "You can't get me." She called over her shoulder.
Quietly, or she hoped what was near quiet, Jaya climbed up a low hanging branch. Her eyes searching for the beautiful blue pelt among the green.

Lunar snorted in amusement as she batted at his tail. So she would play! "I betcha I can get you real fast Jay Jay!" He flapped his wings until he was hovering a few feet off the ground, then floated around, his eyes scanning the area.
He landed at the foot of a tree, but then walked past it and started to crawl into a hole, searching it. "Jay Jay!" He laughed...that is....until the top fell in ontop of him. A yelp echoed out as he squirmed.
"Ahhh! I'm stuck! Help!"

Jaya snickered as he passed her. I've outsmarted him! she thought, Victory!
She stopped as she heard his call for help. "You can't get me with that one," she said hopping off the branch and onto the ground. Even though she thought it was a trap, Jaya went to go see where he was.
At the sight of him stuck, she couldn't help but to feel giggles bubbling up. She held them down, and managed to ask, "How'd that happen? and how am I suppose to get you out?"

"I was looking for you in this hole and it caved in on me!" He struggled, trying to flap his wings, but they were pinned down with dirt. "Uh...dig! Try to dig away the dirt!"
He thrashed, kicking up dirt everywhere, obviously frantic. He kept his mouth shut, but he was still afraid of the dark. A whimper could be heard as he neared tears. "I want my Mama Ayla!"

Jaya felt her laughter die away as she heard he was really scared. "I'm digging!" she called as she found a spot to his left. Positioning herself, she dug furiously at the dirt. "I won't let you get buried I promise!"
Jaya heard his frantic calls for his mother and wondered ig her own could hear her. "Do you want me to get help Lunar?" she worriedly said. She'd only dug the hole about 2 inches bigger and didn't think that'd help much.

Lunar thrashed more until he had to stop to catch his breath. Which was hard considering he could accidently inhale dirt. He felt Jaya digging next to him and relaxed for a moment.
He started to kick again though when he remembered he was stuck. She wasn't digging fast enough...he needed his mother. "Go find your mama and then look for mine! She looks just like I do!"

Jaya nodded and forgot he couldn't see her. "I'll be right back, I promise!" with that she raced off. Jaya jumped over a familiar log then ducked under a low hanging branch, and was finally nearing her mother.
Within minutes she reached the den and was screaming at the top of her lungs, "Momma! Momma! Momma! My friend is stuck, we need to find his momma," she said all in one breath. Jaya was ready to fall over in a heap as she was exhausted, but she had to keep going. "We have to go now!"
She didn't wait for her mother, and took off. Jaya heard the beat of wings flapping on the air, the next thing she knew she was off the ground. "Momma!"SeleneSelene held her daughter as she flapped vigorously. "Tell me, what does your friend look like?" Before Jaya answered, Selene spotted a lioness below. She swooped down, dodging tree branches, and landed a few feet behind the blue lioness. Not many wondered this part of the forest often, and assumed, the moment she saw the blue lioness, that this had to be the mother Jay spoke of. Her frantic cries to the lioness also told her that her assumption had to be right."That's her momma, that's her! Pretty blue lady, Lunar's stuck! You have to hurry!" Jaya called running up to her. The lioness looked like Lunar, with stars and a giant crescent moon decorated upon her pelt. "Please! This way!" without a second notice she was off again. Jaya paused and looked for any familiar path. The branch! she thought and ducked under it as she ran. Gliding over the log, she landed on her feet and arrived where Lunar was stuck. "I got them!" she said before collapsong down in a heap on the ground.

Lunar lay helpless on his furry belly, tears streaming down his furry face as he waited. He was scared of the dark and now Jaya was gone. He forced himself to not start bawling with great difficulty.
Ayla raised her head, nearly jumping out of her skin when a lioness landed behind her and an infant screamed at her. She turned her head, glancing at them in confusion, then stood, ears perked when her son's name was mentioned.
Lunar was bawling when he heard Jaya yelling somewhere nearby. "Jay Jay!!!!!" He started to squirm again, then stopped and began bawling. "I want my mamma Ayla!!!"
Ayla hurried and dug her son out of the hole, then pulled him close, licking his cheek and wiping the dirt off of him. "Poor baby...what were you doing in that hole..?" She nuzzled him until he stopped crying, then looked at the other two. "Thank you for leading me to him. I may not have found him for days."

Jaya picked herself up and stepped back as Lunar's mother pulled him out of the hole. She felt some relief, but was still fretfull as she saw he was crying. "Oh Lunar, are you okay?" she asked, her tone was kind and worried at the same time.
Selene turned to her daughter for a moment and was about to ask what they were doing, but decided not to for the time being. Turning back to the lioness, she smiled, "You're welcome, we're always here to help in these parts of the forest." She picked up Jaya and cradled her in her arms, as she saw her daughter was freaking out, but it was for only a short time before Jaya wanted back down.
