Elladan opened the doors wide, smiling at the woman. "I hope the room is suitable. Legolas' estate is quickly becoming quite crowded."
Within was a well furnished chamber, complete with a large bed, too many pillows, a small table and two chairs, an already blazing hearth, two tall chairs near the fire, one long chaise near it as well, an armoire filled with some of the most beautiful Elven-made clothes, a dresser, a dressing screen with stool, a dressing table with chair and mirror, and two bedside tables. There was a connecting bathing chamber, as well as a two door balcony that, due to the oncoming night, was shut tight. Tapestries hung from every wall, and a plate of fruit and a craffe of wine with four glasses sat on the table.

Elladan noted her pale features. "I will leave you to get some rest." he said, helping her over to the bed and bidding her to sit. "I will return to check on you, if you would like."

Elladan shook his head, "I do not mind at all." he said, walking to the table and pouring her a glass of water, for there was a craffe of the cool liquid there as well.
"I had Caldor mix up some of my sleeping draught while you were healing Legolas." he said, walking back and handing her the water. "If you wish to drink this, you will sleep well. I assure you."

Elladan smiled, turning and walking back to the table. He set the glass down before looking to Rana.
"Where did you learn such advanced healing techniques?" the Elf asked.

Elladan nodded, "You will have to teach me such techniques one day, Rana. It came in quite handy today."

Elladan smiled, "I would be more than happy to." he replied.
Taking one of the chairs from the table, the Elf turned it to where the back was facing Rana's bed. He sat down in it backwards, his legs straddling the seat and his arms resting on the wooden back. Elladan never had learned to respect the furniture, a thing that his father had tried to instill in his sons. But Elladan and Elrohir were very stubborn twins, and their father's chairs... along with pillows and couches, were never given the proper treatment that the Elf Lord had demanded. And when Estel had come along, things had simply gotten worse. Not to mention those times when Legolas had visited.
While the Mirkwood Elf was much more refined than the twins, even exhausted Legolas managed to get into trouble for having soaked clothes or muddy boots on the apolstry from time to time. Elladan's weakness was how he sat backwards in nearly every chair available to him. He liked the feel, plus, it was much easier to fall asleep that way when tired. Elrohir had a penchant for throwing the decrative pillows at one of his siblings or the Mirkwood prince. Estel and Legolas simply were graced with horrid luck, causing them to return to Imladris injured or half awake. That was when furniture tended to get a bit messy in the home of Lord Elrond.
Yet, their father never truly minded, though they were certainly lectured by the Elf Lord himself and usually given an earful by Erestor afterwards.
Elladan had to sigh to keep his sudden emotions at bay. How he truly did miss his father, even if he and his brothers were constantly into trouble. But even more, oddly enough, the eldest twin felt a pang of guilt. Erestor had remained in Rivendell, to help the brother's look after the haven. He had been among the casultys of Gabriel's raid. The death of such a friend pained him deeply, for Elladan knew he would see his father again the day he and Elrohir sailed to Valinor. Erestor however, was lost to them, wandering the Halls of Mandos.
The twin could realize Rana's pain of losing a family, albiet his was far better off. He had Elrohir, and while yes, Arwen was mortal and she would pass with age just as Estel, they were still with him. His father and mother were simply waiting for the twins to journey to the West. But with Erestor's death, Elladan had realized that life as he had known it for so long, had come to an end. The Elves were leaving, and now... more than ever... he wish to join them.
But now he sat, watching Rana as she spoke. His head was lying slightly sideways on one of his arms that were drapped over the back of the chair. He could hear the soft popping and crackling of the hearth behind him, trying to lull him to sleep as well. However, the twin knew he had many more things to do this night, before finding the paths of Elven Dreams.

Elladan noticed how truly tired Rana was. He smiled to himself, deciding to help her along on her path to rest.
Softly, he sang...

Elladan stopp singing when Rana finally fell asleep. He sighed, watching her lazily before resting his forehead against his drapped arms.
He himself was tired, but it was more of a deepset weariness, one he felt even in his bones.
Closing his eyes, he allowed images from the previous few days play through his mind.
Thoughts of his twin, who was still recovering in the Healing Wing. Thoughts of Estel and of Legolas, of his friends and his family. He let all those memories and moments fill his tired mind as he drifted on the edges of sleep himself.
