It had been a long couple of days and Aniis was on the verge of tears as she flew through the midnight sky. She didn't know how to express herself right anymore and it was tearing at her heartstrings. She was right over the lake where they had met, the night that started it. That was the night where she showed a softer side of herself, a side that became all to known to Zoro. A side that was not normal for her. She felt like she had begun to put on a facade and it was sickening to her. She spiraled down and into the lake, making a huge splash. She closed her eyes and let herself sink to the bottom of the lake, holding her breath until it burned before surfacing. She wanted to know pain again, as strange as it was she wanted to feel real again. She surfaced and powered her way to shore. She changed into her elven form and wandered off to a large stone that jutted out towards the lake. The moon was full, and high in the sky. Aniis watched it's reflection on the lake and curled up. Her face had been soaked still, making the tears seemingly invisible with the beads of water that formed on her cheeks. She wasn't being real with Zoro and it was beginning to really affect her emotions. She didn't want to break him, but she wasn't ready to stick around.

Aniis cradled her knees to her chest and watched the moon's reflection ripple across the lake's surface. She hoped that Zoro wasn't worried about her leaving, maybe he had felt the same...but she wasn't sure she wanted to bring this up to him yet....

Zoro blinked and sat in the middle of his home cave behind the waterfall. It had been his bachelor pad for lord knows how long. A fluffed up bed of sweet smelling moss and great amounts of fresh bird's down filled a nook to the back of the cave, and a mountain scrolls and paper, carefully shielded from the spray of the waterfall, were piled against the back of the cave to the left. Zoro leaned again the wall and pressed his head back against the hard stone, this was where he and Aniis had first made love. It was amazing... was it? Was it REALLY? Zoro shivered, he felt so alone in that empty cave. Maybe I had been so eager to love, I pushed myself to extremes to conform with Aniis. But... she was so different when I first met her. Strong willed, hard... She is so sweet... but... I feel like I fell in love with some one else... Oh what to do... Zoro sighed, he also noticed that Sora and Lune had abandoned him. At first, Zoro thought that was a good thing but, he wasn't so sure any more. Maybe he had changed TOO much...

Then, suddenly, a soft voice sounded in his head.
Go to her master... you know where she is, where she waits. She has changed just as much as you... go to her... talk to her... as a friend... It was Lune! Zoro was so surprised and happy at the same time he couldn't contain himself, LUNE! I hear you! Please tell me what to do!... But there was no response. Zoro sighed dejectedly and stood, smoothing out his gauze loincloth before stepping out of the cave and blinking, teleporting away from where he was. He knew could not teleport to as far as the lake, so he teleported in increments, moving ever closer to the lake, and to Aniis.

Aniis rested her head on her knees and brought her hands to her head. She knew things were going to change, she wasn't sure she wanted to leave him, but she wasn't sure she could find out who she really was and is without being of on her own. She sighed, wiped the tears from her face and shook her head. She slowly got up from the stone and lept down, changed back into her true form and turned back to the stone. She needed to let some of her frustrations out, some of her raw emotions go. She reared her paw back and tossed it into the stone, making the stone crack ever so slightly. She pulled her paw back to her chest and wailed out in pain. Was this what it was going to take to get her old self back? She was beginning to believe so. A tear ran down her cheek, matting her fur. She looked down to her paw, it was busted up, bleeding.
'What am I doing...Is any of this really going to help...' she thought to herself before collapsing to the sand beneath her. Her purple fur stood out against the sand, but the night sky almost made it seem like she was just as one of the obsidian stones that jutted out towards the lake. Was that all she was now? Just like everyone else? Putting on a facade to fit into normal life... This was one of her biggest problems, she knew she wasn't but she was forcing herself into something because she wanted to fit in better... Aniis knew things were going to change, she just hoped for the better. She closed her eyes, more tears formed and rolled down her cheek.
"Oh Zoro... I wish I was different... I wish I could be the one you fell for that night..." she spoke softly.

Zoro finally found himself at the rim of the lake, staring about himself curiously. He knew Aniis was here, even in his elder form he could pick her scent out from the wind. Looking around, Zoro spotted her not too far down the bank, and began to walk towards her with a faint smile on his face. But then, he froze... something was wrong. He saw a flicker of movement and heard Aniis wail in pain. All of the sudden it seemed like a cold hand gripped his heart, freezing his chest. Zoro sprinted forward, ignoring the sharp stones stabbing his feet, but then he stopped. Zoro poofed away from where he was and reappeared by a tree behind where Aniis was standing, hiding amongst the brambles. He appeared just in time to hear her whisper her words to the wind, and Zoro froze yet again, feeling as though he had just heard something not meant for his ears. His heart wrenched again as he spoke out somewhat shakily, "Oh Aniis... never wish such a thing... You should always be happy with who you are..."
