I know there was much talk of the donation items in the trick or treat thread, but I figured a new thread could be made. In fact, maybe I'll move the talk from there over to here!
I just wanted to post and say I was traipsing around the marketplace seeing if I could buy up a cheap donation item or two for 5k, but they're running about 14.5k for the kitties and almost as high for the blankets!
When Jason gets paid, I'm going to have to invest. Evil Gaia.. make tempting items..

neonibbles The October letters are now open and the choices are a Coco Kittie or a security blanket. I haven't looked at the blanket much, but I love my kitty!!! (snapshot of nibbles' kitty)

Poppetta i love my blankie! shame it's made my trousers disappear redface but it's just the cutest thing when it's visible, hopefully the glitchiness will be sorted by tomorrow, when the traffic has calmed down a little. I laughed myself silly when i saw the things you can do with the kitty, i'm going to send one over to jelly when my other envelopes arrive as i think it would look fab with her Hallowe'en outfit. i will admit, i have donated $30 this month after seeing what the items were, i don't think that i'll regret it somehow, not with the value of the kiki kitty still climbing, and you can do more with these little sooty cuties 4laugh (snapshot of Popetta's blankie)

 Brbidll The kitty mostly makes your top dissapear. But I finally managed to get the one on top of Nibbles head to stay put with clothes intact! And Gaia said they didn't want nakie people running around...

Poppetta's blankie made her trousers disappear redface that's ok now though, but i can't wear my cape and have the kitty equiped, now matter where i try and hold him, so i'll have to get cold now, that's why i've put the pitchfork's heater on cool (snapshot of jelly's pitchfork heater)

I'm so debating on donating @ least $10 this month. From what I understand the reason the prices are so high in the marketplace is cuz people (including me) aren't getting their donation letters immediately. Some kinda of glitch. Once that gets fixed prices will plummet I'm sure.

True that coco is close to kiki, but look at the rest of the donation items through the past... a white /good something, and then a black/evil something. So I think it was only time for this to happen.

Or did those come in the same month? There are often quite a few black/white pairs of things, although slightly different, like the poses. I don't think the KiKi will lose popularity because of this though. I think it will more likely gain popularity, because people will want a pair.
