Please tell me what you think of this layout? Please comment, and add suggestions. My main thing is whether everyone likes the blue or not.

Its a little plain for my taste, but I like the idea. My suggestions would be to add some kind of object on the background (a person or something) and to lighten up the areas around the text box. With the opacity they're set at now, all of your type, if kept black, would have to be bolded, which could irritate some visitors. Can I see the type in white?
Also: It might look nice if your header wasn't in a box too.

Im pretty much for everything said above. I also think you should try a dark green, a matrix like color. I dont know who else would agree on that though stressed

And now to make some main object for teh bg like you suggested.

Also: It might look nice if your header wasn't in a box too. I agree about the those text boxes, a larget opacity would make it more readable, and then it wont have to be in bold. I like the blue better than the black, the black and white one looks to plain 3nodding I'd also suggest shrinking the type in the header and adding some kind of graphic in there, to make it more interesting. And maybe a different font or font colour for the headings to make them stand out more?

My bg is gonna be that pic without the boxes and dummy text. Just the title and box around title. Gonna make it go once, with a bgcolor of some grey. I'm gonna have it go once. Anyone wanna code it? And the text isn't bold.

I'd think that it lacks personality sweatdrop ...Maybe because I like pictures, and there isn't any blaugh As for the background, since its sort of a repeating pattern, I'd suggest cutting up a smallish piece, and letting it tile. That way you don't have a humungo image that will take a long time to load.
