okay if you have a jrotc were you live i want to know somthing does your band think they are better than JROTC or does the JROTC think they are better than the band in my school it is like that man they fight all the time and i dont go for any of them because i am in the BAND as well as i am in JROTC it really sucks but do you all have the same trouble

oh..that sucks. in our school JROTC isnt a big deal cause the band and the silverwings(our drill team) earns the most trophies and championships stuff for our school. Football is our 3rd best. but, Band is 1st in our school!

oh...our bd says that our area is hardest to compete in cause we have state champs marcus, ld bell boa national champs. the worst thing is that marcus is in our school district. so everyone in our band(some of them) has rivalry.

wow..i guess ever band has rivalry. Wylie hs rivalry on us cause they got pissed or sometin that we are better than them or sometin and when we had football games together they acted pretty harsh.

i cant say nothing i am in ROTC as well i hate my band friends when they try to get my uniform dirty though

We didn't have a JRTOC at my school, but the guy I"m talking to right now was in it. We just compare it and he kinda disses it sometimes, but I just diss him right back. wink
|

There's conflict because we do some of the same basic things.

Salute (drum majors)
Contest (doesn't everyone)
But I was once in ROTC but I must say that Band takes the breathe out of ya.

At my school the ROTC thinks they're better. But they consist of a lot of athletes and my school tends to favor them. But in reality, the Band is not only twice as big, it's better AND it WINS things. >D

yeah but it is hard every year we play like 3 games of football with the ROTC and i dont get to play

Ugh!
Our school has to share our marching field with our ROTC and we always have to kick them off for practice. Relations seem to have gotten a bit better since Our drum major is the "head cadet" "senior officer' or whatever they call the highest ranked cadet....but they still hate us sweatdrop

Heck, it isn't just the ROTC and the Band that fight xD.
It is EVERYONE.
The football players, the ROTC, the Golden Girls, the Band and their Color Guard, the cheerleaders, and any other fall/winter sport team over here.
It can get quite silly.

well an my school JROTC and Band get along great! mostly cuz we kinda split students...so the JROTC kids get to play after the presentation of the colors at football,basketball and any other event..AND they dont have to change clothes!
but band DOES argue a bit with the athletes...but were better!! and they cant argue with that...theyd have NOTHING to back it up with...
