Ears twitched, the flick of his tail, piercing red eyes against ghostly white pelt, his gazed fixed on the 'toy' beneath his paw. A desert mouse, caught by the tail, small prey perhaps, but he had caught it, it was his. And now that it was his, he intended to have his fun with it.
Such a pitiful creature, how it squeaked and struggled against its captor, desperate to free it's tail from his grasp. It almost escape once, or so he let it believe, his paw raised for the slightest moment before falling again, catching the small creature in the cage of his claws.
"Hmm, now what should I do with you, perhaps I will use you as bait to lure some larger creature to toy with. Or, I could always just kill you now."
As he spoke, a wicked grin spread across his maw, malicious laughter falling from his jaws. His head dropped to his paw, fangs bared, red eyes burning with vicious intent. Oh how the mouse squealed in terror, he so enjoyed this game.

Jua'Mwiba had been watching the younger white lion for a little while now. He couldn't help but tilt his head in curisoity as he watched the boy catch a mouse and speak to it. Honestly, he would have just eaten the thing and not bothered with it... but he did look like he was having fun. Jua never had the patience for that sort of thing, but now that it was right in front of him, he couldn't help but show an interest.
"You just going to stand there and talk to it, or actually do something?" Jua asksed him, sounding bored and finally approaching the young cub. He tilted his head thoughtfully, wondering what the boy would do.
He sort of reminded him of Yu actually... she had a tendancy for catching and torturing little things. He had found her a little desert bird for a present, and she had made it sing until it spat blood and died. Then she had cried because she didn't have it anymore. Weird how things like that happened.

Eyes narrowed, his gaze fell to the dark cub, ears laying back, tail twitching like an angry cat. Who was this and what did he want? Who was this other creature to tell -him- how to play with -his- toy. The mouse was -his- and Baal'esh intended to do with it as he pleased.
"I will when I am done playing with it."
A snort, his voice cold, as if to say 'duh' and 'who asked you?' in the same breath. Ignoring the older cub for the moment, his talons tapped against the sands, taunting the mouse he held in one paw, debating what to do with his prize. Perhaps he could use the mouse to lure a snake, that sounded like fun, he'd liked to play with snakes, such wonderful toys they made. Or perhaps he could find a scorpion, get it to sting the mouse then watch in twisted glee as the creature slowly died. Or perhaps he could simply squeeze it until its eyes popped out of its head, or take it apart piece by piece, or...
His gaze turned to the dark cub again, was he being watched?
"What do you want?"

"Hum?" Jua asked, looking away from the mouse and at the cub again... as though he had almost completely forgotten that the other boy was even there. He had been too caught up thinking about Yu. That happened sometimes too. He couldn't really help himself.
"Oh, right, you're still here." He mentioned off-hand, as though he had been there first the entire time. This cub obviously had a little temper going on... and possibly some deeper mental issues, considering he wanted to spend his time torturing a mouse. Yep, pretty much like Yu... which meant that Jua had no real problem with the creepiness of the situatin. Maybe the cub would do something he could suggest to her.
"No, nothing really. Just watching. Feel free to ignore me if you like." Jua said, sounding extremely pleased with himself and this find. Yes... Yu would like hearing about this boy. Besides... it was a little entertaining watching the boy pick on the smallest creature he could find when he was so small himself. Had Jua ever really been that little?

What?!
Baal glared at the larger cub, eyes narrowed with the snarl that crossed his maw, his grasp around the mouse tightening to elicit a desperate squeak from his toy. Who did the dark cub think he was? How dare he interrupt him only to ignore him. Of -course- he was still there, he had been there first! And just who was the cub to tell him what he should do anyways?
"I'd rather you just left."
Baal'esh was not a friendly creature, even among his own, or perhaps it was simply that he was possessive. The mouse was his, just as the snake his sister had 'broken' had been his, and he was not especially inclined to share. His, HIS mouse, and though the other cub was larger, Baal'esh would not be intimidated.
"You're weird."
Hmph, why was the other cub watching him anyways? His toy, hishisHIS!

Jua tilted his head at the cub and raised a theoretical eyebrow. "Well, you're kind of a nasty little ponce aren't you?" He called him, clearly unimpressed by the boys attitude. Yu might have been... well, crazy-out-of-her-mind-been-in-the-desert-too-long, but at least she knew how to be polite, now didn't she? Not that Jua found himself to be particularily polite... ever, but that was him.
"If I'm bothering you, you can leave. But I'm pretty entertained and happy right where I am... mouse isn't, I'd expect." He said, with no real intention to touch the mouse. He had better things to do than get his hands dirty when someone else would do it for him. Usually it was Yu, but the boy would do.
"Really, I'd rather you stayed though. I've never seen someone torture a mouse before." But now that he had, or was going to, he was certain he'd have to see it again. Maybe he could bring Yu a toy...

Baal simply stared at the dark cub, red eyes striking against the white of his pelt, a twitch of his tail. He was unmoved by the insult, neither hurt or angry, as if he couldn't have cared less what the other chose to call him. Nasty, well he supposed there was no arguing against that, he was a rather vicious little beast. A smirk crossed his maw, yes, he rather liked himself as he was, a monster of the desert.
"Why would I leave when it was you who followed me."
Clearly he did not intend to move, why should he, he had been here first, it was the dark cub who was intruding where he was not wanted. Snort, irritating creature, as if he would move for anyone, let alone some cub he'd never met before.
"Go find your own mouse."
His gaze narrowed, his own warning, that if the dark cub even thought of trying to take his mouse there would be trouble, it was his, and he was going to play with it how he pleased.
Hmmm, what to do with the mouse. His thoughts drifting back to more important matters, Baal'esh debated the issue, a single talon piercing the small creature as he thought, cutting into a limb as it squeaked in protest, fighting against its captor. Oh but no, he wasn't going to let it go, he wasn't done playing yet. Now, where to find a scorpion.

Jua tilted his head curiously. The cub made about as much sense as Yu did. And Yu never made sense at all, that was part of why he liked her. She had grown to accept the fact that no one had half a clue what she was talking about. She just liked him because he tried.
"Well, if you want to stay, that's fine. So will I." Jua said, not really bothered by the cub's bad attitude. After all, what was more fun than getting on a high-strung person's nerves? He had never quite found anything he had ever enjoyed more than that. He supposed he got that from his father... not that he really wanted anything from his father. "And why would I find my own mouse when I'm having fun watching what you're doing with yours? What are you going to do with it anyway?"
He was curious. And he couldn't help but tilt his head to the other side as the boy pierced the creature with it's paw. Less fun when it couldn't fight back, in Jua's opinion. At least when they thought they could win, they would fight back. Try to prove they had a reason to live. This situation, for the mouse, was clearly hopeless. No sport in that.

His fur bristled, ears laying flat, tail twitching with irritation as if it were alive itself. He did not appreciate being watched, nor did he care to hear the other's opinion on the matter. If he didn't tolerate such from his own siblings, why should he tolerate it from a stranger?
"Like I'd tell you."
What part of 'I was here first' didn't he get? GO AWAY! An angry snort, Baal turned, shifting his body to face away from the other cub, the mouse still held firmly in one paw. His mouse, his toy, his game.
Baal turned his attention to his mouse, again trapped within the cage of one paw, pinned against the earth by his talons, the other paw tapping against the earth as if in the contemplation of evil genius. Yes, what to do indeed.
Let the mouse fight back? No, that was not the game, Baal'esh was a sadistic creature, he wish was to cause pain, to hear the mouse squeal in terror, to inflict as much suffering as he could before its life finally expired. He could not have cared less if the mouse fought back, so long as it suffered.
His paw closed around the mouse, a wicked grin on his paw, talons catching the creature as it struggled. It's front legs disabled, Baal opened his paw, oh how delightful to watch it writhe in agony, no longer able to walk, very much alive, but forever trapped by the beast, there was no escape.

Jua, of course, didn't know the meaing of the word 'discouraged'. Especially when it came to learning a new trick that he could show off to the lovely lady Yu. He was pretty sure she would have liked this cub a great deal... and Jua loved him for the simple reason that he was so easy to annoy.
He got up, and simply changed his position so that he could get a better look at what the cub was doing. If the cub got even more annoyed at him... well, that would make things a hell of a lot more fun. Honestly he just loved watching the hairs on their backs raise as he made them angrier.
And frankly, he did it so often with his family and his teacher that he was starting to get bored with it. And since that simply wouldn't do, he needed a way to redirect his attention. The cub was doing a good job of it. Jua couldn't help but playfully cringe and stick out his tongue as he watched the boy at work, though he didn't say another word.

He had dropped the mouse onto the sand, eyes alight with malicious glee. Oh how it fought, writhing against the ground, struggling to stand when it could not, driven by its instinct to survive though there was no hope of escape or life. If there was one thing certain for the mouse, it was that this was its last day alive, all that remained now was when and how painfully.
Hmm, what to do, what to do. Ah, a stone nearby, he could easily break the creature's spine, watch as it did nothing but roll in agony, legs twitching helplessly. No, not painful enough, he wanted to torture, not paralyze, to hear in scream in pain. Then what, hmmm. Lost in thought, he gazed at the mouse, plotting, dark thoughts forming in his mind. Had one not known his intent, he may have perhaps seemed a philosopher, oh but those who knew him, knew better.
Ah yes, that would work. A single sharp talon bared, he flipped the mouse onto its back, tail twitching as he--
Wait, he was still being watched?! Snatching the mouse, his paw slammed closed around the creature, ignoring the squeak that would have pleased him only a moment before. His gaze reeled, head snapping to glare at the dark cub, fangs bared in a menacing snarl, an angry growl. He did not appreciate the audience!
"Go bother someone else."

"Hum?" Jua asked, looking up from what the cub had been doing. It had been quite interesting, watching how a twisted mind worked. Though he supposed he was about as twisted for watching... but it did give him some pretty interesting ideas.
"Oh. Well, why would I want to go bother someone else when you're right here? Besides most people don't do something this interesting when they get bored. This is way more fun to watch then some stupid playfights." He admitted, shrugging, before looking back at the mouse.
"Really, you were doing a fine job. Don't feel like you have to stop on my account." Jua told him, waving about his paw to indicate that he could be completely ignored. This was one of the few times he didn't mind not being the center of attention. No, this was way more interesting. Plus, it would result in ways to show off to Yu.

His tail twitched, flicking side to side, dancing in the sands like a viper about to strike, narrowed gaze settled firmly on the dark cub, a low growl. Irritating, he was growing tired of this game. It was his mouse, -his- toy, he was -not- sharing!
"I wasn't making a suggestion."
His voice was cold, hard, a growl biting at the edge of his words. He wanted the other to leave, now. A stubborn beast, perhaps as stubborn as the one who insisted on watching, had he not been as such he may have seen his anger was only an encouragement. Or maybe he wouldn't have cared, he did -not- like being watched, it was -his- toy!
There was silence, the struggle beneath his paw stilled. Looking down, Baal growled in disgust. In his anger he had crushed the mouse, still its life in the single fall of a paw, its body to weakened to resist the force. Great, his toy was broken, now he'd have to find another one.
Another snarl, he dropped the mouse, kicking it toward the dark cub as he stood to his own paws, angry glare in his eyes. Irritating, stupid beast, he better now follow him!

"Now... you do have quite the temper don't you? That's no good if you want to torture... what if you get mad and do exactly what you just did?" Jua asked, picking up the mouse and grinning. It had never been this easy to get on someone's nerves before! Usually they tolerated him a lot more. Getting this cub irritated was almost too easy!
He picked up the mouse, swinging it back and forth, "Shouldn't you use this to draw some more toys? Plenty of little beasts will want to eat a dead mouse. And really, it's such a waste of food not to eat it yourself." Jua mentioned off-hand, flinging the mouse back towards the cub.
"And besides which... I don't usually take orders very seriously. Especially from someone I could squish." He mentioned, a flash of arrogance showing through on that note. But he had always found that the best way to get on someone's nerves was not to get angry yourself.

A low growl, Baal closed the distance between them in a leap, a fierceness burning in his eyes as he glared up at the larger cub, perhaps a dare, or perhaps a threat. Larger or not, Baal was not afraid, he was a warrior, a monster, he would not be intimidated.
"I will play with my toys how I wish, I do not need your advice."
He spoke through his fangs, his voice cold, hard, accenting his words with a snap of his jaws. To the other cub it may have all been a game, but to Baal it was not, he was growing irritated. Angry? Oh now, Baal had not reached angry yet.
A flick of his tail, a final glare, with a snort Baal turned, steps moving away from the dark cub, such an irritating beast. He supposed he could have lashed out right then, started a fight with the older cub, made his point with his talons. But no, that was probably what the other cub wanted wasn't it, irritating. Whatever, he had more important things to do.
"There are plenty of mice in the desert, it's hardly a waste when one dies."
A good thing, for it would not be the only mouse to die at his paws today.
