September 16th was the day of his birth and his mother, Madeline, and father, Christopher, raised him in Twilight Town. However, his mother worked as a sales manager while his father worked in a garage, leaving Orion alone at his home afraid to meet neighbors who watched over him. But when his parents came home, they would spend all their time with him and he was happy.

When he was 4, his father left the home, not leaving a reason for his disappearance, only to return back after 2 years looking a little more depressed. Maddie never questioned it and continued life as though nothing happened. It was a long time later after Orion's departure that she found out during the couple argument and afterwards their divorce.

During his time in school, he found an interest in space exploration and wanted to be an astronaut. This brought his courage up to be friendlier to others, and he made friends with Kikyo, who he had a crush on from first sight. The two enjoyed each other's company, until when he was 8, a bullying incident caused Orion's personality to drastically changed. He became withdrawn and wouldn't come out of the house for weeks, with the word 'weak' playing throughout his head. He wouldn't even accept being called 'Forza' anymore, since it stands for 'strength'.

When he was 10, his grandfather decided to pay a visit, and asked for Chris to reclaim his throne in his kingdom. Chris refused in an instant, even admitting he never wanted him as his father. Orion overheard the conversation and asked to take the offer. This surprised the grandfather, but made him extremely happy as he took Orion into his care, while the parents fought back against the bodyguards trying to take their only son back in the house. Kikyo saw this incident at the front of the house and gave him a necklace to remember them by.

For 2 years, Orion trained in martial arts and swordsmanship in order to claim the throne, under the watchful eyes of his grandfather and members of the Organization XIII, Marluxia and Xemnas. He was even injected with demon blood the O13 have been working with, to increase his strength by ten times and made him less human. A female general also watched over him, and since she was unable to give birth, she played as a surrogate mother to Orion.

When Orion was sent into battle, he was unmatched by anyone who came up against him. He was commanded to destroy many towns that tried to defy the O13's power, and even commanded Heartless to do his work. Every night, he was not only haunted by demons, but by the many lives he took by force. For every kill he did, he hated himself more and more, which became so intense, his black hair started to turn white.

At the age of 15, he was feared throughout the country as the 'Demon King', as no one could stand in his path. However, one mission got him captured by an rebel force, which he didn't know they were also working for the O13. After a month of torture, his near death experience caused the awakening of the powerful demon Lucifer to take control and he completely decimated the entire kingdom he was kept within. He was also able to recover a katana that once belonged to the general's husband, and this made to believe something happened to her. He returned back to his grandfather's kingdom for answers, and when he didn't receive them, he destroyed it leaving no traces of its existence. His white hair became more silver after that.

Orion now searched throughout the deserts, seeking new clues that lead him there, to find the general and return the sword. The O13 assumed the sword was what untapped his power and sent bounty hunters to retrieve it, who obviously didn't stand a chance against him.

During a mistaken identity, he was asked to save some prisoners from a merchant dealer and was somehow caught up with a monstrous sandworm who swallowed him whole. Though the acid within was able to kill the prey instantly, Orion managed to easily survive it from his demon powers and sliced through the sandworm, only to appear in another desert with an old man on the ground. The man saw Orion as his savior and took him to his home where he revealed himself as the alchemist.

For a few months, Orion worked with the alchemist doing odd jobs he didn't mind doing, since the man gave him special healing bottles that could even cure the most serious diseases. During one of his deliveries, he encounted a wanderer who said he was a talented tailor. Named only as 'Jack', he created a defensive jacket that was strong enough to stop a piercing sniper bullet. He became a second apprentice to Jack, who used him as test subjects for new developments, which caused Orion to specialise in speed, because the pain still went through the jackets.

When Orion turned 17, during another one of his deliveries, he received a clue that he could find the general's whereabouts if he visited the high school situated at Twilight Town. Leaving his new friends in the desert, he returned back home, not even sure what he was suppose to find when he got there.
