Physical Description: Long dark brown hair usually worn in a ponytail; brown eyes in a round face; firm stocky build from working in orchards and lifting heavy crates of fruit; average height; Prefers wearing pale colored tunics over slacks because they are easier to move around in among the groves.
Personality:
Growing up in a family that treated their children equally, Dynara believes she has the same rights as her two older brothers. Despite being allowed to be an independent thinker and express her opinions at home, she is still aware that she lives in an environment where men are usually in power and have even less use for a woman’s thoughts.
Dynara is very observant and watches the people around her. She keeps her opinions to herself. She’s seen how a casual word here or there can come back to haunt one’s self. She learns about the people that she needs to deal with and figures out how to win them to her way of thinking.
Her parents didn’t realize until too late that letting their daughter grow up as an equal with her brothers would make her undesirable as a marriage prospect. Her mother continued trying to find a suitable marriage partner for her daughter, despite Dynara’s firm stand that she did not want to become dependent upon a man to provide a roof over her head.
While Dynara may not want to be dependent on a man for her livelihood, she does enjoy the company of the male persuasion. Dynara finds it a natural inclination to be able to do as her brothers do and bed whomever she wants. She does try to be discreet for her parents’ sake though.
History:
Doting on his only daughter, Dynara’s father allowed her to grow up working along side her of two older brothers. A youngster, she followed her father around as he tended some of the many orange fruit groves outside of Ista Hold. When she got older, Dynara helped in picking the delicate fruits from the trees. When her father noticed that she was better at tallying figures and keeping delivery logs in order, than her brothers, he allowed her take on more responsibility in the logistics side of the running the fruit grove.
Dynara was found on Search when she was 17. She was not taken on previous Searches because her father refused to let her go. He has nothing against dragonriders, he just didn't want to lose his only daughter. When Dynara was 18, her mother finally convinced her husband to let his daughter go when the Search riders were at the Hold. As much as she loved her daughter, Dynara’s mother was aware of her daughter’s ‘loose’ ways and feared she would soon become an embarrassment to the family.
Dynara has stood on the sands a few times and has not yet impressed. She's concerned about what will become of her if she doesn't impress a dragon before she gets too old. She doesn’t see herself laboring over a hot stove in the Lower caverns for the rest of her life. She also doesn’t expect that there’d be a warm welcome at home for her.
