"Ah" Lisa smiled as she settled into her favorite light blue cushy chair at the Katarina library. Her chestnut hair fluttered a bit before settling on the shoulders of her sea foam blue dress. Her head leaned against her lavender jacket, which she had draped across the back of the chair. She liked to come here whenever she could. Some how, she felt at home among the wooden pillars and shelves stacked with thousands of books. Next to her was a massive stack of various scientific journals, training guides, battle strategy Guides, a few fictional novels, and a book about contests which she had taken out on a lark. She took the top book off of the pile, a training guide for fire types, then set it aside. Picking up another, she decided to open up its pages and read the book. Adjusting her glasses, she pushed some of her brown hair out of her eyes as she began to read.

The library was a frequent stop for the rocket, the tall stacks and isles of shelving filled with books a familiar to him. Long ago he had admitted to himself that reading was a passion of his. As he passed through the doors, he turned his head with black hair shifting, and dropped off his returns. One of which he had to pay for. Cooper had decided the cookbook smelled good enough to eat, much to his chagrin. Tucking the ravaged pages under his arm, he tugged on his ribbed turtleneck before shuffling off. Work had to be done.

Typing in the computer didn't help, and the bulbasaur putting away books (with vine whip) seemed to just ignore him. The book he was looking for wasn't on shelf. This was the part that got to him, a bit of his 'neat freak' side appearing on occasion to irritate him. Eyes scanning the room, he found a person buried under a pile of books. Perhaps one was the volume he was looking for. Trotting over eager to find the article, he smiled as one of the spines read the way he wanted it to. Picking it up he tapped the young girl on the shoulder. "Miss, may I perhaps take this book if you're done?" He waggled the 'Training for Fire Types' book at her in question.

Lisa looked up from her book, glasses flashing briefly in the sun. "The Fire Type training guide?" she inquired of the young man, "Of course. I have a copy of that at home." She offered the book to the man, smiling. "I am assuming by your interest in this book that you own a fire type Pokemon? It's nice to see a fellow trainer here. Usually, it's just me and Grovius over there." Lisa nodded toward the book stacking blubasaur, but was, naturally, ignored.

Bones raised an eyebrow and glanced at the grass type for a moment before dismissing it with a chuckle. Cooper would only think him to be a walking salad. Grasping the book he fumbled for the other one in his arm, all bought and paid for. Holding it up, there was a rather large bite out of it.

"I suppose you can't call me much of a trainer then." He smirked for a moment at the thought of him just training and fighting with his arcanine against others...for fun. It was odd, but alot of people did that with their pokemon. "But yes, if the shoe fits...I own a fire type. Well, he thinks he owns me but you get the picture."

For some reason he found himself more cheerful than usual. Blinking a bit, he almost wanted to ask her a question to hear the ring of her voice again. There was something about it...

"So are you a researcher then?" He tilted his head and his black locks flopped a bit. "All those books makes it seem like you're not leaving for days."

Lisa chuckled. "Oh no! I don't plan on becoming a researcher quite yet. I only have my bachelors, after all. I'm just reading for fun." Lisa bent over and scanned the books quickly, before picking out one. "This one is fictional, not very good for research unless you're into literature. But an excellent read!"

Lisa smiled before putting the book back on top of the stack. "I am actually a trainer myself. I haven't been one for long, and I captured my first Pokemon some what by accident. She's very nice, although sometimes she can get testy around people she thinks are bothering me." Lisa's hand went toward the pokeball she kept her Houndoom in, as the library had, understandably, a "No Fire Type" rule.

Bones lips split into a crooked grin as a melodic chuckle escaped. His hand encircling the pokeball around his neck he looked at it for a moment and then to the girl. "I guess my first capture was also by accident as well."

Really it had been more like Cooper had chosen Bones to be put in his care. The energetic arcanine had a very responsible and sweet side, that could only force Bones to roll his eyes. The 'R' tattoo burned into his neck seemed to bother him a bit a these thoughts, so he accommodated it through cleaning his throat and tugging on his collar carefully.

Something about this girl was unsettling to him...but not in a dreadful way. His cheeks lit with a bit of color when she spoke, he was seemingly enthralled with her words. Like an aura was around her, something that was pulling him in. Blinking his blue eyes he extended a hand to her.

"The name's Bones."

Lisa extended her hand towards Bones, grasping it in greeting. "I'm Elizabeth, but please, call me 'Lisa'. Pleasure to meet you, Bones." Lisa smiled at Bones, her sea-blue eyes taking in his physical appearance. This man seemed to be very kind, she thought to herself. He also seemed to have a certain quality. What was the word for it again? "Handsome," perhaps? Yes, Lisa thought to herself, this "Bones" was handsome, akin to a princely figure from a fairy tail, almost. She felt a bit of heat in her cheeks as she held his hand.

As a small moment seemed to be exchanged between the pair, their hands held the shake for a moment longer than needed…before slowly slipping away. Even his eyes seemed to have a bit of a smile in them, as he blinked at the chair across from her. “Lisa…” He managed, for some reason the sound of her name in his mouth was odd. “So…what are you researching? You found out why I’m here…” He waggled the chewed book a bit, “…so it’s only fair you share why as well.”

Ah small talk. He missed it.

Lisa had to pull herself back into reality as Bones let go of her hand. As he asked his question, her mind went blank. "I, uh," Why was she here again? She had to think a bit to remember. "Oh, yes, I'm here for some light reading, just a bit before I return to the Gym." She found it strange that she had forgotten something like that.

Bones knew for some reason that he was simply dumbfounded at himself for the complete look of utter fascination with her speaking. They must be quite the spectacle he thought, feeling a few other eyes on them suddenly. Noise was frowned upon in such a building. Raising a brow at her mention of the gym, he really hoped she meant the 'working out' kind...and not other other that she might. He tried to avoid those really tied into the system of pokemon, rules, and those that enforced them.

Taking a breath he blinked out of his little mental spell, and his eyes were serious again. Looking around for a moment, his hair flicked about his head experimentally. "Gym?"

"Oh yes," Lisa chimed quietly, oblivious to the eyes that were now upon her, "I work there as an assistant. It gets a bit hectic at times, but it's also fun." She assumed Bones knew which Gym she was talking about. After all, how many gyms were there in Katarina?

Bones nodded as if it was a mechanical response, his eyes flickering as he thought of a safe way to respond. She was linked to people in places of authority, and for some reason he seemed to be completely FASCINATED with her...so he had to try to be extra careful. Swallowing, he pushed a smile back to his lips. "My job gets a little interesting as well...so I know what you mean. This place is a great place to just...get away from it all. " Laughing a nervous tune, he scratched at the back of his head where his hair was pulled back. Smoothing it over his hand to fix anything he might have loosed, his hand dropped back to his side and then found it's way to rest in his jeans pocket.

Lisa picked up on Bone's nervousness, but attributed it to being in the library. "Um, do you perhaps want to leave?" she said, although she really didn't want him to go.

Bones as looking away from her, when he heard her words. Cheeks getting hot, he took in a breath before he spoke. "N-no." He chuckled, I'm just not used to meeting new people like....this..." His words were slowly spoken and carefully chosen.

Lisa's words were so few and far apart that the 'spell' on him was fading a bit. He was becoming uneasy, for something else seemed to be stirring in the air around him. Something was up.

"Oh, well I don't want to be a bother or anything," Lisa nervously twiddled her thumbs. It was strange, but she didn't feel like reading any more.
