http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/fm20090313r1.html With Momusu coming to the US this is their second interview, the first only being with Aichan. Unlike the last one this interviewer seems informed, and even us fans are provided info we didn't know.

I really liked this interview. =3
Their manager is a little mistaken, though. Most people do know who Morning Musume is in Japan, they just don't think of them as artists that much anymore. xD
When I was in Nagasaki, all of the girls in the class knew MM, but they were more of a group that was popular back in elementary school and couldn't be taken seriously. They were all very surprised that Naichau Kamo reached #2 on the Oricon charts.
Avril Lavigne is really popular in Japan right now, so I thought that it was the same with Morning Musume. To us, Avril Lavigne is a singer that we all loved back in elementary school, and had a large group of fans, only to kind of disappear after a while. It's the same with Morning Musume in Japan now. That's why they all laughed at me when I said I liked them. >.>
Oops, I kinda went off topic, didn't I? xD
Anywho, I really liked the interview. I hope that with this concert they realize how popular they still are internationally and that they aren't forgotten. =3
