The gym had tables in the middle of it. They were bare at the moment, but they would come in handy soon enough. The ones that had signed up for the arts and craft fair were slowly trickling in, and Antony was looking at the clipboard in his hand.
"So?" Tyler (or Mr. Deakon while in school) said, stepping beside him. "Have you come up with the teams?"
"I think so," Antony said. "We're a little uneven, since one team only has four, but I think they can handle it. I hope," he added under his breath. Jace was a wild card, and who knew that better than him? "The mike is up on the stage if you want to start."
Tyler nodded, heading for the stage and scooping up the mike before he looked out at the kids. He brought it to his mouth, wincing as it screamed with feedback, then motioned to Shade. "Turn this thing down, would you?"
"On it!" Shade said cheerfully. He was in charge of the sound system yet again.
"Okay," Tyler said as the speakers were turned down. "I know not everyone's here yet, but I figured the sooner we get started, the better. First off, I'd like to thank all of you that volunteered. We're doing this for a very good cause and I know the kids at the hospital will appreciate everything you're doing. Secondly, I figure some of you might not know each other yet, but I hope that you'll try your best to get along and have fun."

Peering into the busy auditorium Galleai felt a knot rise in her throat and while she swallowed it, it didn't seem to go away. There were so many people here, and so many of them seemed to know what they were doing, shouting and running and visiting. She saw a couple that she half-recognized and realized that she'd probably wandered around in their dreams before. But so far she didn't see anyone she knew from the waking world.
Winding her way through the gym with a grace that kept her from actually touching anyone else, she approached the cluster of people at the stage. They looked like they knew what they were doing. Once the announcement was finished, Galleai went up to Antony and after a moment to gather her wits about her, asked him a question. "Excuse me. Do you know where I'm supposed to be?" Her nervousness was clear in the way she was playing with the pale ribbons that seemed to be wound all around her body.

Antony was handed the clipboard by Tyler, and he glanced at it briefly. "Can you tell me your name?" he finally asked. He had never actually met this girl before, after all. It seemed that there were more and more kids he had never even seen showing up. But he supposed that was only logical with the speed that they grew.
Chris entered then, having been taking a detour at a slushie shop on the street out in front of the school. His cherry slushie was so big that it almost made his hand look normal sized. He eyed the crowd for a long moment, then headed around it to the front.
"While you're at it, Antony," Tyler said, handing him the mic as well. "You might as well announce the teams."
Antony sighed, then brought the mic up to his mouth. "Can I have your attention please?" he called to the group. "I'm going to be announcing the teams now. I'd like team one to go to the bleachers on my right, nearest the stage, team two on the right bleachers farthest from the stage, team three on the bleachers to the left, nearest the stage, and team four the bleachers on the left, farthest from the stage. I'll call the oldest in each group first so you can wave your arm to the younger ones."
He looked at his list, then read off, "Team one consists of Christian, Ophelia, Darsh, Skylar and Rayne. This one's easy to find, because Chris is the size of a small van," he added as Chris stopped in front of the bleachers, sat down, and waved a gigantic hand.

Morgan and Skylar entered the gymnasium together, both young Nu Mou boys a bit nervous. They never really got to go anywhere without their parents but today oh today they were allowed to be here becuase there was adult supervision. Not that either boy had much use or interest in the adults, they were just here to have fun and help with some fair thing their respective father's had signed them up for.
Skylar stared at the large black boy who was apparently on his team. He nibbled on a nail for a second before scurrying off towards the bleachers where Christian was. He came to a halt just beside the then and curled his tail forward to lay across his feet, bluish grey eyes warily watching the perspiration on his slushie cup
Rook milled about the crowd with his tail wrapped around his waist. He still wasn't feeling one hundred percent well but he had made a commitment and he did need to be here today. he had just spotted gall near the stage and made to walk towards her when the announcements about teams began and the grey skinned boy waited. He could find gall again later but should probably pay attention to this.

When Chris approached, Gall let out a small squeak and found herself off to the side. He was so much bigger than he seemed, even in his dreams. Standing off to the corner, she waited for her group to be called.

"Hey," Chris said softly to the little boy, keeping his duel voices soft. But then he closed his mouth because even soft, his voice tended to carry.
"Next is team two," Antony said, apparently not bothered at all by forcing three babies to deal with a monstrous creature like Chris. In fact, that was one of the reason there were three babies on that team. If anyone could keep them from getting hurt it was the big guy. "Jace, Kashmira, Elizabeth and Morgan!"
He looked around, not seeing Jace in the room yet, then motioned to the silver haired girl chatting with her sister. "Kashmira, would you mind representing?"
She shrugged and headed for the bleachers, stepping up on them and waving her hands. "Team two comes here!" she called.

Skylar smiled, " Hi, I'm Skylar" It felt weird not adding on that he was the one with the blue hat, which he still wore. But since Morgan had lost his green one and was apparently not even on his team there was no point. He still thought it was weird that Chris was holding something dripping water onto him but he'd come to understand that not everyone was like him and Morgan.
Morgan grinned when he realized he got to see Kashmira again, she'd been really neat even if she did cheat at tag. He walked over to where she stood and smiled up at the girl. " Hi, again"

She dropped down, grinning widely now that she realized who was on her team. "Morgan!" she said happily, leaning down to hug him. "How's it going? Where'd your hat go?" she added. "Not that you're any less cute without it!"
Antony, cleared his throat to get their attentions once again. "Team three, which goes over there," he pointed to his left, which was almost everyone else's right. "Consists of Casia, Rhye, Orli, Tode and Bal. We don't have any teenagers in that group so any of the three girls that are here can be your guide."
Then he lowered his mic. "We're going to need to keep an eye on that group and the next one," he told Tyler and the other teachers quietly, covering his mic. "We ran out of teens."
"I'm Chris," Chris said, taking a long drink of his slushie and holding it out to the boy. "Want some? It's cherry."

Casia slipped into the gymnasium just as her group was called. Jane had told her to go do something productive, to 'grab life by the hand and steer it in a bold new direction', and so though the siren wasn't sure about the arts and crafts fair, she was willing to give it a shot. She wasn't able to link any of the other names in her group to familiar faces, and the more she looked around, the more she realized she didn't really know anyone here yet at all. She bit her lip and walked quickly over to the direction Antony had pointed. This was going to be okay. She'd MAKE it groovy if she had to.

Morgan hugged the girl amused that they still appeared to be, besides Skylar, the only one with tails that had fluffy tops and grinned " A ghost stole it while I was chasing another ghost and now it's gone forever." He missed the green hat but he was much happier having he little ghost dragon friend he'd met that day. " Boy's aren't supposed to be cute" he said abruptly as he thought about it. Girl's were cute and flowers and pastel colours but not boys.
Skylar shook his head " There's water in it" which he avoided at all costs, it made him feel funny to be around it and it was worse if he touched it. The other's drink couldn't hurt him unless it spilled onto him but his innate hydrophobia was too strong to overcome even in the face of an offered treat. " thank you for offering" the Nu mou said with a smile remembering his manners.

"Oh," Chris said. That was... strange. But he guessed that crossed out a duck pond and bobbing for apples. He shrugged it off and took another long drag off of the straw before putting it on the bleacher next to him, away from the little boy.
Antony was, once again, lifting the mic to his mouth. "The fourth team will be made up of... Joshua, Rook, Galleai, Nataya, and Dawn," he read off. He had no idea who any of them were, except Nataya. And he hadn't seen her since she'd been a toddler. Oh well. "They're at those bleachers right over there. Now I want you to work within your groups to figure out what you want to do for the fair. And for those that are older, you need to keep an eye on the younger ones, of course. Any other questions can be directed at Mr. Deakon, Mr. Shade, or Mr. Prosper."
Then he handed off the mic to Tyler again and took a step back.
Kash shrugged. "Okay, not cute, handsome!" she told him.

Galleai let out an audible sigh of relief when she heard she was in the same group as Rook. She knew she was lucky to be with someone she knew. As she wove her way gracefully to the bleachers she wondered if the Joshua in her group was the Josh whose dreams she'd wandered through on occasion. Josh was a popular name, though. It could be anyone. And she didn't recognize else's name. Once at the bleachers she sat and peered around, trying to find Rook again in the crowd.

Ophelia made her way through the crowd towards the big, black, demonic-looking classmate who was part of her group. "Hi, Chris," she said, smiling a bit uncertainly at him. He looked like he could bench-press her father's car (with a baby elephant seated shotgun).
There were already a few other, younger, children assembled. She waved to them but made no attempt to guess their names. "I'm Ophelia," she said. "Does anyone have any ideas yet about what we should do?"
Orli, in all her petite fury, had no idea who anyone on her team was. Casia and Rhye were familiar names, but she honestly could not tell one from adam if you held a gun to her head.
She stomped around for a bit, searching futilely, and then hopped up on the bleachers. "Yo!" she shouted as loud as she could at the crowd. "Group three over here!"
The screaming, combined with the fact that she glowed like a lighthouse beacon, ought to have made her an easy target.

Nataya made her way over to the bleachers, tugging a few twigs and leaves from her hair. She'd had a bit of a run in with a tree on her way here. Landing, apparently, wasn't the only thing she needed to work on, as she'd just found out. Ah well; she had plenty of time she could work on it. She glanced around, smiling a bit as she recognized a few familiar faces. She walked over, taking a seat on her group's designated bleachers. So far, it was just her and another girl there, though she was sure it was only a matter of time before the others showed up.
"Hello!" Nataya said, smiling brightly at her fellow group member. "I'm Nataya...what's your name?" She paused for a moment, looking at the other girl. "I like your ribbons; they're such a pretty shade of purple." Truly, they were...then again, the fairy was a fan of ANY shade of purple.

Skylar returned the girl's wave then shrugged in answer to her question " We could cook something?" Cooking was an art right? Because you had to make all the food look nice later becuase presentation being important. Pancakes in the shape of letters maybe could work.
Rook had smiled when he's heard who was in his group, while Dawn and Nataya were unfamiliar names Joshua and and Gall he recognized instantly. It would be good to be with people he knew as well as to meet new ones. The grey skinned boy headed towards the bleachers while Gal sat and was beaten there by a girl.. Nataya he heard as he finished closing the gap between himself and the two girls. he nodded to the purple haired girl and waited for Galleai to introduce herself before he would make his own introductions.
Morgan giggled at that and fidgeted with the ring in one of his ears.
