Cinnabar Island
Cinnabar Gym; the gym best known for its usage of fire pokemon in the Kanto region. It's one with several rooms in which challenging trainers must battle through in order to reach the end with the gym leader.
However, a few things have changed since then, seeing how the gym leaders aren't the only ones capable of giving out badges.
The room you enter is one the currently belongs to the trainer known as Blade. It's smaller than the average gym battle arena, but still gives adequate space for fights. It just may be a bit cramped if not slightly hazardous if many large pokemon are used at the same time.
Over all, the room is fairly dim lit; something that would most likely change once battles commence and fire and the like are being blown around as attacks. The ground is earthen while the walls are made of steel, created to withstand a great deal of heat. Several vents line the top edge of the walls as well. Upon entering, if he is ready for battle, Blade would be standing on the far end of the room.
