I'm cleaning out my book shelves of all the books I don't want -- already read them to death, have no interest in reading them (hand-me-downs from the apartment's previous tenant, mostly), outgrown them, or whatever.
I've got in particular a stack of books such as , books that provide a bit of introductory insight into Judaism, Jewish holidays, Jewish history, and so on. Some are political, some religious, some all about learning Hebrew. Some of the books are geared towards children or teenagers, while some are more geared towards adults.
If anyone's going to be in Chicago before Passover, let me know when, and you can come over and pick through the books. The week before Passover, though, I'm going to take them down to donate to a synagogue for their library.

Dang- I don't think I'll be there before Passover. Any chance you would mind holding onto an introductory one on Judaism and one on learning Hebrew until the summer? ^^;;;

I really do need to get rid of it, but I can hang on until summer, if you and your folks are coming back. I'll put the books in a box or bag for you.

If you need to get rid of them, it really is okay. I know we have to go there at least once or twice in summer if not before since Brad (and possibly me) will be at Northwestern, but I don't know exactly when yet. If it's an inconvenience, please don't worry about it, though- thank you so much for the offer!

Divash I'll see about keeping the books of Jewish interest until around Tisha b'Av (midsummer-ish), to give you ladies a chance at them. I was accepted at Northwestern and I'll be going there sometime during the month of April for an overnight stay to figure out where I'm going to school. Are you by any chance going to be in town April?
