When Nova was turning eight, 3 members from Organization XIII came to her home. The members were Xemnas, Zexion, And Larxene. They heard of Nova's parents, Aya, and Tai making plans to destroy the Organization. When Xemnas heard he decided to get ride of them before they got rid of him. They arrived at the Harazuka's home late and attacked, killing her parents then her. Xemnas was the one who killed Nova but when he noticed she was an elemental he decided to make her a Nobody. Xemnas also decided to erase Nova's memory of the raid on her home. SO she still, to this day, has no clue he was the one who killed her, and her parents.
When Xemnas took in Nova he decided to take away her eyesight as well, just in case she'd end up figuring out he killed her by his face.
When Nova turned 13 She found out she had a dragon's demon inside her. She spent most of her time trying not to get angry so it wouldnt come out. When she would lose control, her eyes would change to black. When she returned to normal her eyes were faded to white. She'd used most of her energy. Now Nova is 19 yrs old and suffering from wounds from attacking Xemans, who tried to make her Kill Rin. Her signifigant other, Avon, is working on healing her since she'd the O13's medical elemental.
