He paused to gulp from his now cooled Klah, raised an eyebrow at Coriath over the watered taste from splashed water, and stalked forward tossing a rag hand to hand so he could start rubbing down the rest of the bronze, lounging in the chilly lake waters.
"You know I'm pretty sure you could have missed my Klah." He pointed out, kneading the dragons muscular shoulder. He was also soaking wet, his black hair sticking to his scalp and face, and he blinked it out of his eye, but didn't brush it away. It would have uncovered his scars, and he was content enough to keep those, as much as possible, between himself and a looking glass.
Probably. But you drink too much Klah anyway.Coriath pointed out, twisting his neck to look at his rider, amusement in his voice.
"Oh is that your excuse?" He grinned in spite of himself, continuing to bathe down his partner. "I thought you were just being a b*****d this morning because I haven't been very social."
It's not healthy you know. You hide in your weyr too much. We are a strong pair. Yes that girl is here, but she has not gone out of her way to attack you, why go out of your way to hide from her? I wish to make a grand flight some day and I cannot do so if you are hiding from yourself.
"....No. You're right." He admitted. "I know I shouldn't. I'm working on it." He debated, looking around. But can't we talk about it later? We're not alone out here.

The scent of water from the splash had drawn others to the lake shore had drawn others to the bathing dragon and his rider. Yet one of the two could not move as swiftly as the other, nor could the boy travel between like his little friend could.
Chirping happily as the small brown winked into existance, big blue eyes whirled happily as they glanced left and right for his bonded human. Finding no such human within visual or mental range, the Flitt decided hovering there in the heat was too much especially with water so close by. With a bugle, Elsu flew over and dove into the water with a tiny splash. Surfacing with a tiny stream of bubbles, he chirped and doggy paddled around; it wasn't long before he came across the large Bronze and his rider though. He squawked and flailed a bit in the water, splashing around a bit before taking to the air.

Coriath snorted in faint surprise at the flit and his antics, and S'kagi broke out into a laugh.
He didn't find himself laughing quite as much as even he would have liked, and this diversion was somewhat of a welcome change. "Well. Where did you come from?" He asked, somewhat rhetorically. He suspected the creatures owner must be around somewhere, or else it was wild and simply getting into trouble, but it seemed unusual for a wild flit to be around the Weyr, and he put that thought aside as implausible. "Where's your companion?"
When he was in a good mood, and when they weren't causing trouble, he was content enough to see flits as the tiny relative of the noble dragon...though all bets were off the second they started getting into trouble.

Elsu chirped and blinked at the rider and dragon, wings buzzing the flit hovered about eye-level with the new human. Squeaking, the brown sniffed the air around the newcomer yet smelled only water and sandsoap. No food so this one was deamed uninteresting.
It was then Dhiren came stumbling into the picture, panting and dirty from his run halfway across the Weyr. With sweat streaming down the young Candidates' face, he leaned over to catch his breath while pointing a shakey finger at the little brown. "E-Elsu! Y-you gotta stop runnin' away like that!" He coughed and wiped his forehead with the front of his tunic. Despite his weeks of training, Dhiren's small body kept him from gaining a great deal of stamina. Again he coughed while wiping away the sweat before begining his attempt at an apology.
"I'm sorry, sir! Elsu has a bad habit of going between whenever it suits him and keeping up with him is nigh impossible! I hope he wasn't bothering you?"

S'kagi ducked away slightly from the small brown's close examination, earning an amused sound from his dragon, who spread his wings and rained water lazily on all parties within range.
How nice, you made a friend!
Two of them maybe. He grinned at the sight of the young boy running toward them, ignoring the rain of water from his dragons wings.
"No he's fine, he hasn't gotten into any trouble yet. They do that though, that's why I don't keep them myself."
He made a futile gesture to dry off his hand on his soaking clothing and offered it to the young candidate with an amused expression.
"S'kagi, Coriath's rider and partner. You are?"
