She sat with her paws playing in the dirt. She had been so bored lately. Her family had been off doing their own things now that they were old enough to enjoy them..
And she mostly stayed around home, preferring not to go very far.
She had done her wandering for her lifetime, and was content to watch the pride life and see what happened day to day.
Though lately nothing had been happening as the pride mostly was busy all day, too busy to talk to a Leopon apprentice.
She yawned deeply, not tired, but her mind just wishing it had something to entertain it.
Though she had been watching Dogo more. The strong Leopard females just made Luta feel special.. She felt sure that what she felt for Dogo was love, despite still being rather young, and despite the fact that..well Dogo was a girl.
But Luta couldn't help it. She had met the leopard as a cub, and she had grown up with her too..
But the sister bond is never what Luta would have called it.

Dogo carefully trotted out of the training area, making sure to not put too much weight on the back paw she'd let get a bit too tense. She believed the term for it was something like 'charlie horse'? Where the phrase was from, she had no idea. She'd untense it in a moment...If there was one thing she'd learned about healing from her 'mother' Moto, it was how to keep from tearing her muscles. Nothing put a warrior out of commission quicker.
And with so many of the cubs growing so quickly, she could not afford that. After all, what if she was needed to train one?
A glimpse of red caught her attention and she smiled. Ah...so Luta was around. Dogo had found herself fond of the leopon...more than a friend, but certainly not the sisterly feeling she felt for Tarajia. Padding over carefully, she cleared her throat. "Evening, Luta."

The sun was setting, turning the sky a sort of pink and purple hue. Luta's firey eyes were gazing and entranced in those gorgeous colors.
She had been completely intune with the sky, when Dogo approached her.
If she had been a lighter shade, she would have felt sure that Dogo would see her blush.
"Good evening, Dogo!"
She said with a little smile. Her voice happy and always soft. She was turning into to quite the little lady.
But that little lady was so confused.
"The sky just gets so pretty when the sun heads away for the night."
She said with a breathy sigh, gazing up once again, though not as entranced as she had been.

Dogo nodded and smiled awkwardly at Luta. "It does." She didn't know why...but it did. Even the normally gruff leopard had to admit it. "But...there are prettier things I can see."
That was the truth, for Dogo anyways. The way the sun glinted off Luta's fur, the contentment in her eyes...The leopon held more beauty to Dogo than some far-away natural phenomenon.

Luta had been hoping the remark was made for her, and she cast her gaze at Dogo's direction, looking away from the sky.
Her firey orange eyes glittered and she smiled a little.
"There arent many things prettier than a setting sun."
She giggled, her smile radiant.
Lately she had been wanting cubs of her own.. But mother had told her she was hybrid. Niether lion, nor leopard. She was.. different. ANd mother said that hybrids rarely ever were able to produce young of their own.
It had pained the female, to hear the news. What more was there... Than mating and having little cubs?
She loved cubs, and in turn, was going to turn her attentions to the cubs of the pride..Maybe they could use her motherly advice... Since she herself would never be able to have that experience.
"How are you doing, love?"
She asked, looking back at the sky.

Dogo chuckled. "I see one thing prettier, right next to me." She scooted a little closer, not quite sure what to do. "More vibrant than the sunset or sunrise, a perfect blend of Sun and Moon."
She wasn't sure what had first grown attracted to Luta. When they were still young? Or was it after that? But Dogo knew what had attracted her. The leopon's gentle nature...the passion that lay beneath her skin.
"I am well, Luta. Overreached one of my muscles...but Moto taught me how to untense muscles when I overused them."

Luta smiled, her eyes gleaming once more, and if her cheeks werent already a crimson red, they would have shown their deep blush.
She batted her eyes, as she had always been the typical lovestruck female.
And Dogo, well she was just her first love.
At least, thats what she thought it was.
"Dogo, you spoil me with your words. And your words make me feel delightful."
She said, her purr radiating in her throat.
She looked at Dogo and cocked her head.
"Anything I can do to help?"

Dogo shifted a little, both embarrassed and excited. She LIKED the attention she got from Luta. And she liked returning that attention. She just...didn't always know how to go about it.
But she smiled. That awkward smile that was nothing but true. She'd had it more often lately, and each time it got less awkward-looking.
"I only say what I see, Luta." So what if she spoiled Luta a little? In Dogo's opinion, it was well deserved. Why not spoil the one she cared for a little?
She stretched out the tensed leg a little, then shook her head. "No...It's almost untensed itself. But thank you for the offer." Dogo had also been getting a little more sociable.

While Dogo liked the attention, Luta, was a doting little leopon. She was a loyal sweetheart, who would go to the ends of the earth if the right one asked her.
And the right one, would have been Dogo.
Luta knew she was destined to live a life without cubs, but she wanted love still.. and she had never seen a need for males.
After all.. What did she really need a male for, if not for cubs? When she had found something that had made her heart pound with another female, she knew that was where she was destined to be.
She scooted a bit closer, leaning in to nudge Dogo's shoulder gently. She purred a bit, but blushed slightly at her boldness.
"Well..I like that." She said, blushing again, a brighter shade of pink than her red cheeks could disguise.
"Oh, youre welcome."She said, lowering herself back to her own little space, not touching Dogo anymore.
"Im sorry, I dont mean to be so pushy."
She chuckled, a little giggle escaping with it.

Dogo purred and nudged Luta back, a light touch of her nose against the leopon's shoulder. "You aren't pushy." She dared a quick lick at the other's cheek. "If you were...I wouldn't like you so much." She still couldn't say Those words. Not yet. Dogo prayed she would manage to get them out sooner rather than later.
"Luta...would you mind...maybe going hunting with me tomorrow? Like we did when we were small?"

The leopons heart soared as Dogo licked her cheek. She couldnt help but hide the smile that carried on her maw.
Her fire like eyes looked at Dogo, and they carried a happiness that she only felt when she was with Dogo.
But she didn't know the words that would be said, and so she could not say them. And in that respect, she would never force them from Dogo.
After all, as of right now, Dogo was only a crush to dear Luta. Though she felt her heart beat faster at the thought of the leopard.
"Oh I miss those days. Those were the easy, lighthearted days where hunting was new and exciting."
She chuckled, and shook her head a bit.
"But I would love to."
And her eyes met Dogos.

"Yeah...They were good days." But now was even better. Despite everything that had happened to her...Dogo was happiest here. For she was beside Luta and had a 'mother' who cared for her and a pride that accepted her...despite the dark temper she'd developed after the demon had nearly killed her.
Luta met her eyes, orange to fiery, and Dogo felt her heart skip a beat or two. "I...I'll meet at the spring, tomorrow at midday?" She was so beautiful..gentle and kind, where Dogo could not be...

"Consider it a date." She smiled with a happy sigh. Life was so good lately, she couldnt help but just be completely happy.
She lived in a safe pride, and was living such a happy life lately.
"And we can still make our own good days." She smiled, her words enthusiastic and optimistic.. Something she tried to be for Dogo, since Dogo could see the worst in the best things sometime.
