At first glance a typical metropolis area, Downtown Karakura is a bustling hive of people, hovercraft and lofty buildings that seem to touch the sky. Set as a simple cross with four main structural "pillars" at its center the main street crossway runs Northeast, Southwest, Northwest and Southeast running forty-five degrees from the cardinal directions of North, South, East and West each an above view of Downtown Karakura resembles a giant "X" with buildings beginning with the four, all linked at several points to one another before dropping off to much smaller buildings and building outward in groups of structures gradually growing in size until a sizable structural "wall" is created thirty-seven miles from the center crossway. At surface level, there isn't a great deal of automobile traffic, as the size of the city is only the "top" of a pyramid extending deep underneath Karakura, one of the main reasons it survived the meteor was its extensive underground. Just below the surface of the streets is a subway and auto-way for not only moving around the city itself, but the highways in Japan are all presently connected via an underground route. The subway however; is limited to only Karakura. Most of the power generators are set in this "half" of the pyramid.

Appearing a few buildings away Kenshin jumped over to stand a few meters from Soma, deciding to approach like this so that the captain would know he did not want to fight. "Shinigame captin..." With a sigh Kenshin forced his spiritual pressure to calm down from the fighting. "... I want to apologize. I know it was not your fault my family was killed, for it was because of you that I am still alive. Weather you forgive me or not is your choice, but my conscious is clear for having tried to make amends." Kenshin wanted Soma to know that he apologised, not out of fear of his power, but because this was something Kenshin needed to do.

Walking to the edge of the building next to Soma Kenshin gave a low sigh, and Some would see that Kenshin's yellow eyes had become slightly blue. "How long are the hollows going to do this, attack in mass and then suddenly stop? The normal humans can't take much more of it."

Ren hid in the darkness of an ally in the downtown area. "Zeige Dik, Monji." He then pulled his hand out of his pocket and blopped a small orange block. That block quickly changed into his robotic doll Monji. "Time to go scout something out." The doll just nodded and transformed into a bird, one that would look normal around this area. The without a word the bird flew into the air, so it could see and listen to anything around it. Monji noticed some soul reapers on a building and landed on that building. The doll began to act and look like a normal bird. Ren was near by just waiting in case anything was to happen.

By now this hiding Bount had probably thought his presence was completely concealed, however he couldn't have been more today. However this bount was no where near on the agenda today. By now Hitoma and Jouka had already started their games as he could sense the dying spiritual pressures from each location the two were spotted in. Everything was falling right in place and it was his game.

"Well I guess that's that. On to the next part. But before anything else, what is it that you wanted kid."

He said pulling the the lollipop from his mouth and pointing in the direction of the Bount so that only he'd notice he'd been spotted. This kid was egg short of a basket if he truly thought he'd completely mask his presence away from to captain level shinigami in the area for so long.

"Yo kid, you might as well stop hiding and watching. That can be a little hazardous to your health these days."

Shadow appeared next to his captain, already on his knees in a submissive manner. "Captain." He had left the human behind at the foothills, and had watched the battle from afar. He had managed to kill some hollows, but his release of Riatsu in order to avoid the warring entitites had tired him out. At this time his blades were sheathed, and there was no sign of any struggle on Shadow. He had taken no damage except for exaustion of his Riatsu. Now he wondered about his orders, for he had not known what to actually do when the entitites had begun fighting. "Were you victorious, Captain?"

Then he saw the human from before, the one who had threatened to attack. But, again, his captain showed no signs of being concerned. So, Shadow didn't, either. "So, human, you survived."

When Jouka appeared in the area, his shikai was already activated. Black sandy like solution constantly dripping away from the dark blade. The 5th Division Lieutenant's badge was clearly shown from the side of his arm to avoid any sudden confusion. There in his left hand he dragged the body of the human known as Delos by the hair. Looking at Soma, he tossed the body to Soma that way the others wouldn't come looking for him. He had to rely on Soma at this moment so that no one would snatch him expectantly. Putting him on the ground would allow anyone to grab the human's body to perform autopsy, but putting him in Soma's hands would ensure the tightest of security. "It's all done as you ask. Now for the next step. We can't have all these eyeballs around now can we." The man vanished using shunpo leaving nothing behind. Suddenly the dark sand covered around Shadow's body and began sticking to him. Munch like how Delos was dealt with. The black sand coated onto him like an extra skin, turning his body completely black. Suddenly the grains that stuck to him would protrude into spikes into Shadow's body which would cause almost fatal injury. Blood splashed in many directions from the man's body followed by Jouka appearing behind Kenshin with a reformed dark zanpaktou plunged into the human's back and exiting through his chest. Jouka then twisted the blade upwards and brought it sliding outward until the boy's body would drop cold to the ground. Again, he left these two alive because of orders. However the pain that he caused them couldn't have been anymore gratifying.

(What are you guys planning...)

The fact that another Shinigame had appeared had put Kenshin on edge again, and when the man known as shadow had been attacked Kenshin's hand had flown to his Sakabatou. When Jouka appear behind him Kenshin did not hesitate in rolling forward, popping up on to his feet, and using his God Speed to appear on the roof of a building across the street. "What the hell?!" Kenshin had tried to trust Shinigame again, and immediately after it, one had attempted to take his life. "Your all alike.... you hunt monsters.... but you really are monsters." Releasing his sword Kenshin held out his hands like he was gripping invsible blades as another Shinigame (Oruga) appeared.

"Twin dancing blades!" 'Only a short time, have to make this fast.' Even as he spoke Kenshin would vanish using his god speed again, this time moving even faster because of the twin sword technique. His speed was now on par of that of a shinigame captain. "Hitemitsurugi style!" Kenshins voice would come from behind Jouka as the golden sword in his right hand was swung at incredible speed at the man's back, intending to cut him in two. This was no ordinary human, as all the shinigame would feel the energy around them being drawn in to Kenshins' body, fueling him in his attack, and even the speed of his blade was impressive to the point that he posed a real danger to Jouka if he did not react quick enough. However if one inspected Kenshin they would see that he was already breathing hard from the single attack, and one could guess that he would not last long at this level.

(Crap! WTF?!)

As Shadow fell to the earth, covered in blood and particles, something happened. His swords, Moonfire and Lanfaer, suddenly screamed in rage. It was odd that it could be heard by everyone in the area, but what happened next had never been seen before when it came fo Shadow's Zonpaktou. They ripped themselves our from the particles, and blurred, forming into a beautiful woman holding a large two-handed sword, and an armored man with a rapier in his hand. Both stood to the side of Shadow, and Moonfire looked at Oruga as she appeared, one eye still on Jouka. "Captain Oruga! Jouka has attempted to slay Shadow and the human, too! We need your help!"

Lanfaer, on the other hand, was changing. His body turned black, his armor blood red, and it formed into the very armor that Shadow himself wore, except that a demonic face showed on it's center. The rapier it held changed into a fanged form, black particles, similar to what Jouka had on his blade, seeped from the black blade. electricity sparked along it's length, and Lanfaer stood in a defensive position above Shadow. "Moonfire! Heal him quickly!"

Moonfire nodded, crouching and touching Shadow's face. His body crumpled, and reformed above the black particles that had been attached to his face, and he was healed. But shadow's eyes were glowing a blue-silver, and they were keen, filled with something, though what was unknown. But Shadow knew one thing. He had been betrayed. Jouka had had fun trying to kill him, of that he was sure. And that meant that his Captain didn't care about killing his own people, either.



(It sucks that Shadow won't know how to do this when he regains his mind entirely *sigh* )
