If one were to look at Karakura from a bird's eye view, they would see Downtown, a bustling mass of vehicles and people milling about and appearing like ants so far below, beyond Downtown they'd see Uptown a spacious community with a few hovercraft and people about their everyday lives, usually housekeepers and students on their way to class. Beyond Uptown though there is an area of town known only as "The Outskirts" a reminiscent of the comet's impact The Outskirts are a desolate, abandoned area where old and abandoned houses and buildings stand as if for the ghosts that haunt Karakura's everyday life. Street Gangs are the main populates of this area, delinquents, hoodlums and full-blown criminals make this desolate area their home. With cracked and broken asphalt, the smell of industrial waste and smog in the air, The Outskirts are a perfect place for a scrap whether it be from one human to the next or between ghosts, both are common here and not to see one in passing is very uncommon. Hollows in this area are especially numerous.

A seem appeared in the sky above Karakura, a hand clawing out of it. Soon, another hand followed, and then a head. The head of a bull. Eight different tentacles shot out from the seem, and a giant hollow were on the other end. Maadiz rose to his feet, towering over the small groups of hallows in the area, his presence almost apparent to normal humans. He stalked toward the town, hoping to find some sort of sport. He had been asleep for centuries, and he was a bit cranky. Hopefully humans were smart enough not to put up a fight.

Just where they least suspected it a tear through space opened once again letting out a second menos grande through the area. This time it wasn't followed by as many adjuchas as the last one but it did consist of a higher amount of lesser hollow. Hundreds and hundreds of them poured from the fold in the sky as it walked, kicking up dump and waste around and causing thugs all around to freak out. Down below many of them began attacking the innocent believing that someone had crossed their turf and tried to move in on them. This was most likely because they could not see the menos grande or the other hollow for the matter so they attacked the first person they seen in sight. This chain of chaos continued to disrupt the streets as the menos grande passed through.

The doors of the Senkaimon had opened and Hitoma had stepped out. Clutching his zanpaktou at his side at the sight of the many hollows that appeared around him. The number of them were growing insane by each minute and he was surprised that the commander didn't act on this as fast as he usually did. By this rate the town would be destroyed and the people wouldn't know what hit them. "Alright. It's time to clean your souls you worthless beasts." Hitoma said jumping into the air bringing his zanpaktou down upon each hollow he came across. Each one was sliced without hardly any difficulty. Though he had to admit that the job was very tiresome and that he needed water quick already. "Darn it. I have to continue. I can let mere fatigue slow me down." He smiled and looked into one of the cameras he'd heard one of the captains speak of during the meeting.

"My, my, what an intriguing turn of events." A female voice echoed in the area. A Shinigami entered in a manner similar to Hitoma, wearing an unusual red outfit and proudly bearing the symbol of the Twelfth Division on her arm. One slender hand rested on the hilt of her sheathed zanpakuto in a casual manner. It was immediately apparent that she was powerful, even if she surpressed her strength. Unusually keen eyes scanned the skies that were dotted with the lesser Hollows but were locked onto the Menos Grande in particular. She wore a grin that was permanently plastered onto her expression, both confidant and almost cocky in a sense. Only for a brief moment, her eyes flickered over to the only other Shinigami there but remained perfectly still.

Once evaluating the current situation within a manner of moments, the Lieutenant finally moved. She jumped upwards and unsheathed her blade, using the Hollows as stepping stones. As she passed right in front of them, a thin, but clearly powerful slice went right through the tainted souls. The lesser Hollows flocked towards the strong woman, obviously in an attempt to overwhelm their much smaller opponent. She went from one Hollow to another, tearing them up as she went while using the least amount of energy to do so. However, stamina was clearly something she had no lack of either. "Come on, let's play shall we?" After being cooped up in the lab for so long, she was practically bursting with a large amount of contained energy. It was a rather unfortunate circumstance that the attacking lesser Hollows found themselves in, falling to her blade as she pursued some much larger prey. In her case, it was the adjuchas that demanded her attention more than the rather bothersome pests.

"Oh Kanon-chan you showed up I see. I knew we had to be getting a little extra muscle. So what do you think about handling going straight for the menos grande." He said cutting one holow's mask off and slicing another one in half. Another one and another one. When their area was cleared he looked directly at the menos grande. You could really tell he was performing for the cameras that were posted up around him. "So what do you say Kanon-chan. Let's head for the gillian." He pointed his zanpaktou towards the big thing just in case she didn't understand him through all the commotion.

"I thought you'd never ask." Her red hilted blade gleamed in the light as Kanon landed beside Hitoma. Personally she did not care about such things as cameras, only curious about how they would take down such a large Gillian. She already had a few ideas in mind as it could be assumed. Moving into a casual stance, she placed both hands on the hilt of her zanpakuto. There were still a number of lesser Hollows coming through and a few adjuchas. However, things were looking in the Shinigami's favour, especially with such numbers. "I do hope one of them will be able to serve as a decent test subject." The air around her sharpened as her reiatsu began to increase in power. She already had a firm grasp of her surroundings and now was much too late for any of the smarter Hollows to escape anymore. Her gaze shifted only once to the seated member of the Sixth Division, amusement flickering through her expression. "Are you ready Hitoma-san? Kazei better hurry up or he'll miss everything."

Hitoma agreed with his lieutenant superior. She was all he had for right now and Captain Kazei-kun hadn't showed up yet. He nodded at the 12th division lieutenant and tightened his grip around his zanpaktou. "All set and ready Lieutenant Kanon-chan." He said locking his feet into place and readying himself for whatever attack the woman had planned. He glanced up at the menos grande only to notice a great rise in spiritual pressure around the area. Everything was getting thick around him. Almost to the point where it made him want to gasp out for more air as if he were suffocating. "Kanon-chan do you sense that." His senses were perked when the great rise in pressure shot up around him. There in the distance the heads of three menos grande could be seen moping around the city. "What on earth is going on here. Something isn't right. There are too many of them. Something is out of place here. What is it?" His hand now squeezing even tighter around his zanpaktou.

Kanon was relatively calm despite the huge swell of reiatsu that came from within the town itself. She could adapt to such things much more easily after being surrounded by Hollows constantly in the Twelfth Division. "It's quite hard not to notice it really. Do you really think that this is a coinsidence? Look at where each attack has occured. Then consider which of the five possible types of Hollows can control up to the adjuchas. That already eliminates three of the five, dear." The Lieutenant grinned even wider, as if she knew something he did not. Chances were that was the case. It seemed as though there was no time for messing around, so she would end things quickly. Such a task was truly not worth lingering on as the centre of the chaos was where the real excitement was. "Strangle, Ratsuta." Her zanpakuto glowed and separated into two separate claws that rested comfortably in both of her hands. Kanon extended on of her hands so that the trio of blades was facing the hollows. The blades branched outwards with an alarming speed, hundreds of metal tendrils appearing from the original three the further it extended. They bound themselves around each Hollow in the area, while the majority went to binding the Menos Grande in one place. The secondary claw was embedded into the earth, grounding and anchoring her as well as further binding down the Gillian. She kept quite aware of the humans in the area that she was all but invisible to. The casualties stopped as it could be assumed. Hollows were truly predictable creatures. "Get going Hitoma-san. The sooner we have these fellows finished with, the quicker we can get to the others."

Akane Shiori
Division 14 Taicho

"I'm always watching... You cannot hide your sins..."

Shiori didn't seem the least bit concerned that she had left her fellow Taicho is a battle with an arrancar and a burst of menos, among others. If Soma could not handle himself then there was no need for him to be a Taicho. She wasn't worried about entering this area, sure it was full of thugs and ghost and hollows, but honnestly she found no threat, even though she wore a Gigai.
While she walked she glanced down at her phone, waiting for someone in her squad contact her with information in the area. The phone beeped and she glanced at the screen, it seemed a Meno Grande had either recently been in the area or was still there.

What suprised her was to come accros the Twelth squad Fuku-taicho and seated member in the area, most likely taking samples of something. She knew they would recognize her, not just because fo the distinctive markings under her eyes but because of the Raitsu that surrounded her, even in a Gigai.

"Hmm, seems they intend to fight this thing alone..." She muttered and chuckled a little, her voice showing little concern. While she figured she might step in at one point she would wait for now for either an invitation to help or for the situation to worsen first. Either way her cameras would pick up some nice information on how a Meno Grade would fight, and how capable the Twelth division's Fuku-taicho was. Quite enjoyable from her standpoint.
She dialed a number, and a quiet voice answered, from there she exchanged information and gave orders to focus on this area and the foothills, where Soma was currently facing a growing group of opponents.

Kanon did not take her eyes off of the Hollows, but recognized the flow of reiatsu. To have the Captain of the Fourteenth Division observe their current battle was a tad interesting, and not completely unexpected. Though she had thought a separate captain would arrive instead. It made no difference either way as the situation was more or less under control. Whether or not the Captain wanted to aid them would only make things easier or not, though it would inevitably reach the same conclusion. She said nothing, allowing either Shinigami time to attack if they wished. Though clearly she had not problems with doing so herself if the group had the slightest idea of retaliating.

Each Hollow she had a grip on was forced to remain motionless. They would be killed if they attempted to escape, the metal tendrils slicing through them like multiple razor wires. The slain ones fell to the ground while the tendons took a hold of another target instead. Each thread-like metal moved as if it were simply an extension of the Lieutenant's arm. To ensure that they would no longer move if they did manage to escape, the tip of each tendril was coated in a very specific poison used to slow and disorient Hollows in particular. All in all, fighting massive numbers at once was a much easier task for her than most.

Another tear in the sky appeared, and before anyone stepped out, a large gust of reitsu from all angles greeted Karakura Town. Out stepped a large Hollow, not as big as the Menos Grande, only about 6'4"+. He looked fairly humanoid in shape, but he is far from it, as can be told by the large hole in his chest. Everyone would feel the wind began to pick up, as if his arrival brought the fury of a powerful hurricane upon them. His gold eyes began to scan the town below him, watching and waiting for something, anything interesting to watch...or eat.

Following the vasto lorde out was another. Fallbert Ramirez stood next to the hollow and sighed as he surveyed the landscape. "What now, Alonzo?" he asked scratcing his legs.

"Hmmm, the party has already started, and me and you weren't even invited. As the big fish of the world, we should of had the first invites. Find some Hollows and start eating, the party guests have become the buffet."

Alonz answered him as he now lookedat the pitiful Shinigami who seem to be fighting the swarms of hollows and Menos'. He patiently waited for them to notice that a really powerful Hollow has justjoined the fray.

A portal to (from, rather) Soul Society opened, and a weak spiritual signature emerged from it. The one to whom this signature belonged sat down as the portal closed, then took out a thick pad of paper, a writing instrument, and began to write down what he saw happening. Somebody had to keep track of events, after all, and make sure that history remembered them properly. Might as well be him; he was a member of the Division best known for its ability to handle paperwork, after all.
