((Shove image here later)) Del'nal was out looking for the butterflies, her topic of fascination, but with the melting snows and spring still not quite arrived, her search came up with nothing. "Why can't the butterflies be around all winter?" she would question everyone, and yet everyone would always say that it was to cold for them to stay out. She didn't understand why it could be to cold for them, she was cold but she didn't disappear for a whole season.
When she wasn't looking for butterflies, the starry mare was thinking about the encounter she had had with this beautiful stallion who called himself Hinote. He was such a beautiful stallion, and he had wings! Granted they weren't the wings of a butterfly but he could still fly like one. He even said that he had the secret to flying and that he was going to show her! Though it had gotten to late and did not have the chance to teach her.
Del looked up at the cloudless sky as she dreamed now about being up to fly up in the skies like the butterflies and Hinote. "When will I be able to fly?" She quietly asked herself as she gave a sad sigh. There was still no sign of any butterflies in the quiet sky. Winter sucked.

"Well, because the butterflies are very small, and can't stand the cold like we can," Hinote answered her, descending slowly from the skies. He had heard her question due to the empty area Del'nal was wandering around in--not to mention she stood out against the pure white of the snow. "But, well, since they are not here," he continued, "today I shall teach you the secret of flying." Del'nal was a Wind Soquili like himself, and he still laughed in amusement at the thought that she still had yet to learn to fly. It really was odd.
No matter. She was a cheerful creature, and he couldn't help but to be attracted to her playful light. To his siblings, he probably seemed very serious and obviously, rarely spoke. Of course, he just chose not to speak; what would there be to talk about? Sometimes it was just a waste of breath to use on idle chatter, but with Del'nal, Hinote found himself having to speak more and more often. Such an innocent, delightful soul needed it, he supposed. So, how to start teaching her flight? Well, he supposed it was best to teach her how to spread her wings properly...
"Hello, Del'nal," he finally greeted properly. "You've been well?" When he spoke, of course, most of his words were short sentences; questions he asked most often needed direct answers, and Del'nal was sure to give them, given her nature. His golden eyes viewed her entire being physically, checking for any abnormalities, but it appeared she was fine. Of course, he couldn't get over the fact that her parents hadn't told her why butterflies didn't come out over the winter. Well, he himself was not overly fond of the icy, dull drabness of winter, either, but without it, a constant spring would no doubt tire everyone out. Winter was a season of rest, and as such, Hinote figured it was the best time to begin his (hopefully) mate-to-be's flying lessons.

Del'nal perked up as she heard the voice of someone speaking. Looking around, she spied the stallion that had promised to teach her to fly. "Hinote! But I like the butterflies! I could keep them warm so they could stay out here with me. And I get to learn to fly like them today? Really? Promise?" She spoke quickly, excited to see the stallion once more. There was something about him that drew her to him, even if she didn't notice it.
"Oh I've been good. Hunting for the butterflies. Where do they go then if it's to cold here? Am I really going to fly like them? When will they be back? Where have you been? Did you go on an adventure? Did you see those ones like us but they have the wings of a butterfly? Hi!" Her excitement was obvious as she tried to get everything out all in one breath. Del's eyes sparkled happily as she watched the more quiet Hinote, waiting for him to answer all her questions.
