Nkoszana had managed to wander much much further then usual, she was nowhere near home and probably wouldn't be able to get back for a day. This fact coupled with her lack of success, again, in hunting and her near brush with death a few days before left her in a sour mood. She looked around trying to orient herself, ruby eyes scanning the area and widening as she realized she was close to some kind of pride territory.
It wasn't hard to see she had indeed gone astray, if she narrowed her eyes she could make out a hulking mountain, no a volcano in the distance. A part of her was curious to go explore yet her paws ached with the desire to just sit down and rest. A soft sigh escaped her and finally she decided that fate could do as it pleased with her, she moved to lie down and close her eyes. Perhaps all she needed to renew her spirits was a little sleep.

Usare was out with his "twin" brother for a little stroll this evening... the two of them spending more and more time together lately. He liked his twin ... the best, really, out of all his siblings. I mean, well, Drathir was okay but Nyota was just a brat and the others, Usare didn't care much about.
But Amin ... a part of him rather thought that he loved Amin - odd as that was for a lion in a pride full of demons.
Padding up a little rise ahead, he turned back to watch his brother. "Yoou are slow," he teased then with a grin and a little flick of his tail. "And there's something interesting over there too ... awww, looks like I'll have to go see what it is all alone~"

Amin, well...he felt about the same, concerning his twin. He knew that both of them couldn't rule, but he really didn't know what he'd do without Usare. Usare was his other half, something that he couldn't life without, the shining golden twin that was there to light his way.
He'd had a lot on his mind lately, did Amin, what with the confrontation he'd had with Drathir just the other day, and then...there were big, frightening things on the horizon, he could only hope that they wouldn't hurt what was betwixt them.
Ears perked and swiveled when the other called to him. Wrinkling his nose, he snorted in derision, "Oh of course. I'm slow because I choose to take a leisurely walk and you're darting ahead." Shooting the other a grin, he then sped up, running quickly to join his brother. "What's so interesting that you'd leave me all alone for, eh?" A nudge with his shoulder, winking a bright blue eye at the younger. How he adored such banter. It was something he didn't even have with Drathir.

White ears perked as 'zana lifted her head groggily from her paws and forced her ruby eyes open. She stared for a moment confused, it had sounded like voices, and not to far was a lion. Her vision seemed blurred somehow as if the lion were doubled as it approached. She blinked and moved to her feet realizing it wasn't just one lion but two!
Two males, her eyes narrowed as she tried to make out the features that set them apart. They weren't exactly twins, but it was close enough that she was momentarily confused. Uh oh, maybe she had wandered into the pride after all, and these lions were coming to tell her to split. She considered leaving quickly, but a part of her rebelled at the idea and she stood proudly. Zana thrust her chest out and tried to look larger then she was, she was always playing the grown up lately, if only she would just...grow up. Still the thought was a useless one, all things grew in their due time. Her eyes narrowed instead on the two approaching males trying to decide what she would say to them

Usare tilted head when the "interesting thing" below suddenly moved and then got up to look at them. "See...look! A thing," he said to Amin, smirking. Sure, it was an invader, but just a little one. A little girl at that...
"What should we do, hmmm?" he purred, flicking tail against the other male's flank.

Amin rolled his eyes at that, examining the tiny interloper. Well then. "I don't think that's a thing, Usare..." He rumbled, shaking his head at his silly brother, only to n** playfully at his twin's neck, butting head there just after. "Perhaps we should talk to it and ask it what it's doing here."
Paddering forward, he drew close to her, a rather amiable expression on his face. She did have such lovely dark colors, after all, a thing to be proud of, and her eyes were bright crimson, oft viewed as a demonic trait, though Amin knew well that colors alone did not a demon make. "So then, just who are you?"

Zana felt her heart thud in her chest as the two males approached, still she wasn't going to be bullied! After all she hadn't come here on purpose, she had wandered here accidentally. It wasn't her fault and she wasn't about to be blamed for it, his question almost made her waver instead she sat down and tried to look calm.
"I'm Nkosazana, you can call me zana though, and who exactly are you two?" She tried to make her voice steady but it sounded a bit crueler then she intended. She tried again to alter her tone a bit softening. "Your brothers...I almost thought you were the same lion..." She admitted with a slight smile.

Usare purred at his brother and moved to n** lightly at an ear before heading down after Amin to tilt head at the smaller female.
"Ooh, a smart one!" Usare exclaimed at the brothers comment. "She knew that we were brothers..." Then he shook head and leaned down a bit to sniff at Zana, smirking faintly. "Would you happen to know... Zana ... just where it is you've managed to wander into?"

It was just a little girl, surely it wouldn't really hurt to be at least a little bit nice, eh? They made certain expectations for younglings that showed this much spirit, this little lass might be a demon after all. "Ah yes, Zana, we are brothers, I'm Aminilipa, called Amin, and this is my brother Usare. We are both heirs and guardians to this land...and as my twin says, do you have any idea where you've stumbled?"
A headtilt and a matching smirk, leaning as well, head next to his brother's, two twin smiles of satisfaction and pleasure.

Zana was in truth, completely lost, she had NO idea where she was at all. Did adults ever get this lost, she wondered to herself before trying to sit up a bit straighter and look the two in the eyes.
"Well...no I don't know exactly where I am..." She tried to make her voice sound uncaring about the fact. Her claws dug little furrows into the earth and at the sight of the twin smirks she had a desire to bap them both on the nose. Her jewel red eyes flashed with a defiance that warned she wouldn't be bullied even if she was outsized and outnumbered.

Usare found himself actually liking this little one's spirit, and he tipped head a little to give his brother a small wink. "Well then... I guess we'll just have to tell you," he said - tail flicking from side to side.
"You see, Zana... these lands you've wandered into ... belong to demons," he intoned ominously, expression growing a bit more serious.

There was a rather sagely nod from the older twin at that, and he rumbled low in his throat, just short of a growl, really. "And we are two of the demons that guard this place, and we don't tell you this just to scare you..." A pause, as he seemed to consider that, "Well, perhaps we're doing it to scare you, but also to warn you...and since you've simply...wandered in, it's our duty to discover what sort of visitor you are."
With those blazing red eyes, perhaps this youngling had demonic potential. Hmmm.

'Zana gazed at the two with a slightly skeptical look before her ruby eyes narrowed in thought. "Demon lands hmm? And your both...demons?" Her nose twitched as she inhaled, they smelled like lions, they looked like lions.
She tilted her head curiously, inside her heart raced though. She tried not to tremble because she did believe in things like demons, oh perhaps not actual ones, but inner ones. How often had she felt her own inner demon urging her to do things reckless or cruel? And of course she always felt that sharp voice in the back of her mind cursing her for her small weak body, urging her to grow into a more capable lioness. She was trying, but nature intended that her body grow at a set slow pace, meanwhile her mind was racing ahead.
Finally she managed to control her inner thoughts, her voice became slightly harsher. "You don't exactly LOOK like demons...you look like lions to me." Her gaze met theirs in brave challenge.

Usare laughed at the confused look on her face. "Of course we look like lions! But we're only that on the outside." Leaning closer, he bared fangs at her almost playfully.
"There's demons inside of us... inside everyone who lives here."
