It was another night and Zuberi was off exploring out side the pack lands. He could only handle sitting about the pack lands watching others for so long. He loved his pack life and he wouldn't trade it in for anything but he did enjoy getting out and about seeing the "real world" as he thought of it.
Zuberi was playing in some long grass when the sent of the other caught his nose. He stood up for a moment on his hide legs to see if he could catch site of where the smell was coming from. He spotted her, she was still quite a distance away and he wasn't sure if she would have even smelt him yet as he was downwind from where she was. She was younger then him he could tell that but other then that he knew nothing. He got excited none the less this was a new person. He wanted to meet her, without a second thought he began to run in her direction, thinking only as he approached her that she hoped he wouldn't scare her with his rapid approach.

Ikinya was having trouble sleeping, yet again. She enjoyed the daytime, sure. But there were so many unknown things out in the night. The young wild dog didn't want to miss a thing! Some ways away from her family, the youngster spotted a big bullfrog croaking in the grass. She was aware that there was a watering hole nearby and assumed that's where he came from. "Halt, beast!" She yipped to the frog as he hopped a few paces away. Ikinya trotted after him, her tail wagging excitedly. She wasn't yet aware of the young male nearby. Her attention was too focused on her frog and his scent was going in the opposite direction than where she presently was. The gray and white spotted dog stalked after the frog, grinning brightly, before pausing at hearing the grass rustling harder than how the wind was blowing it. She lifted her head, her blue-red eyes scanning her area. She spotted the other running at her. Not one to back down, Ikinya simply turned to face him, ears pricked up in alertness and paws set into the ground. She hoped he wouldn't scare away her bullfrog.

Zuberi was actually somewhat startled when he broke threw the last bit of grass separating them and found the young female starting him directly in the face. She had obviously heard him coming, but he had never met anyone quite so forward in their greeting. Coughing slightly out of shock "Uh Hi there I am Zuberi... or Strongear," he greeted "I hope I didn't startle you...." he trailed off.
Zuberi had never really figured out how to properly greet others, he generally got way to excited when he first saw them and then when he made it up to them he would have a sudden loss of words. The lack of words initially was always made up later as he got to know them Zuberi was known for becoming somewhat of a chatter-box.
Zuberi looked the young girl up and down. She was certainly more colourful then he was. She was manly grey and white but she had several marks in red and cyan and her eyes were two different colours. This was something a little strange to Zuberi, he was brown himself with a few markings of a lighter brown colour. His only really colourful aspect was his eyes which were a turquoisey colour. Zuberi stood studying the young girl for what was probably too long of a time.

She didn't mind the chattery greeting or the moment or two of silence that followed. His studying her made her feel funny to which she reacted by sitting down and drawing her ears back slightly. He was interesting with his earthy brown coat and vivid eyes. They stood out like half buried treasure. "So," she interjected wanting to break the silence and maybe his studying. "Why do you have two names? Couldn't decide on one or something?" A series of rustles moved off on her right. Ikinya turned her head fast and gasped, immediately hopping to her feet. "Oh no! He's getting away!" She turned to Zuberi. "Help me catch him! Please?" She was grinning, her tail swaying excitedly, not wanting her new found plaything to escape just yet. "We have to catch the beastie," she insisted with a slightly obvious beg in her voice.

Without a second thought Zuberi bounded past her to where he had seen the creature head, when he got closer he realized the 'beastie' was a frog. With a fairly simple maneuver he caught the frog between his paws and waited for the girl to come over to him. He wasn't meaning to show off he had just spent a great deal of time catching small creatures and bugs. What else is there to do as a pup in a pack.
Now that he had caught the beastie Zuberi decided to answer the girls', or should he say Ikinya's question. "Well I technically have more names then just that... my full name is Zuberi-Sikio which I often shorten to Zuberi, but I a member of a pack and my wolf name is Strongear. I tend to give people both names because I am not sure about how I feel about my wolf name." Zuberi stopped talking realising his answer had a been a little on the long winded side of things. He had started getting carried away with himself again.

Of course, she was relatively small, her strides proportioned to her size. She wasn't the smallest of her siblings, but she wasn't the largest either. While messing around with her plaything, Ikinya did listen to Zuberi's answer to her question, occasionally glancing up at him. "Sounds like you're a male of many names then. I'm just me, Ikinya. No other names than that. It means 'one step'." She said with a nod. The mostly monochorme dog liked her name. It was short, sweet, and to the point, exactly as she prefered things. "Oh? You're in a pack? What's it like? How many of you are there? What do you do? So you have a regular name and a wolf name? That's neat." Don't get her wrong, she loved her family to bits, but she often wondered how life would be like amongst a large pack where there were many dogs to get to know and work and play with. She liked the idea of many new and friendly faces.

I like it, its a nocturnal pack so we really only go out during the night. I currently don't have a job in the pack as I am just a kid, but when I get older there are lots of options." Zuberi wasn't sure what he wanted to do when he got older. He was a little on the lazy side when it came to his future.
"Yea I have two names" Zuberi said kind of hesitantly he wasn't sure what he thought about the whole naming practice, it could be confusing when trying to introduce your self to someone outside of the pack.
"There is a lot of members to the pack I think...." Zuberi was honestly a little unsure of exact numbers as so many dogs had joined the pack recently. But he was beginning to actually recognize a lot of faces. "I guess you don't belong to a pack?" Zuberi asked the girl, it was an odd idea to him not belonging to a pack, Zuberi had been a member of his since he was born, so he didn't know much else. With that Zuberi stopped talking, proud of himself, he was pretty sure he had answered all the girls questions.

"That sounds wonderful," Ikinya sighed. She fancied the idea of having a duty to perform. She had taken after her father in that she wanted a purpose in life. His was to protect her mother, but she didn't know what sort of mission she could have. "I don't know what my second name would be if I had two. What do you think, Zuberi?"
Her ears perked and her tail wagged behind her, thimping softly on the grass. "So cool." Ikinya shook her head honestly. "No. It's just my momma and daddy, my two sisters, my brother, and me. We don't have a permanent home. We go all over, mostly during the day. My momma talks to things. All sorts of things, that's why we go all over." She offered another sigh and glanced towards the starry heavens. "I don't think I'd mind having just one place for a home..."
