okay i am a tuba player and my gf is a flute but yet even though she is me and my friends are always making fun of them so do you all think that it is bad if we both get into a fight and break up how will that put our band in trouble during competitons i will like to know what you all think so please leave your comment thank you so much

My boyfriend played the euphonium and I play the flute, I'm always made fun of in my section but I'm a care free type a person so it doesn't bother me.
We have been together for 3 years and 4 months and he already graduated. I'm not sure how things would be if we broke up but there was one couple where the boy cheated on a clarinet player with another flute player and the girl slapped him and the flute girl.
It was pretty funny but there was a little tension but I think the band just gets over it. It sucks 'cause you'll have to be near each other at all the practices and concerts and stuff but it shouldn't be to bad I'd think.

We have been together for 3 years and 4 months and he already graduated. I'm not sure how things would be if we broke up but there was one couple where the boy cheated on a clarinet player with another flute player and the girl slapped him and the flute girl.
It was pretty funny but there was a little tension but I think the band just gets over it. It sucks 'cause you'll have to be near each other at all the practices and concerts and stuff but it shouldn't be to bad I'd think. yeah but i am scared because i am the frist guy that she has falling in love with and i dont want to hurt her but i dont want to hurt the band as well i have been starting to fail alot of my classes because she wants me to take her to her class and then she gets mad if i dont wait to leave till the bell rings so i am getting into alot of the trouble as well

Any way! It would be a dumb reason to break up. If she loves you, as you say she does, then she will get over you and your friends making fun of the flute and get used to it. IT IS SOMETHING MOST FLUTES HAVE TO GET OVER! lol ^^
And about the grades situation. If i were you i would tell her that you can't walk her to EVERY class like she wants. Your education is as important as hers. Tell her you can walk her to certain classes (like ones you have close to each other, first hour, maybe after lunch.) Really, i think she just needs to chill down a tad and let you have fun and get your grades back up! ^^

Well, isn't that why they made the rule (in most schools) to have all phones off during the day so that you do not get distracted? I to am a sophomore, and no offense, but your girlfriend sounds more like a very controlling seventh or eighth grader just starting to go through puberty.She needs to learn that you can't talk to her every second of the day and she can't control what you do. Again, school work is more important than a girlfriend/boyfriend. Your grades now tell you what college you can get in and the college you get in tells you what types of jobs you can get and how much money you will make from then until you are gone from this world.
So, just tell her that you like her and everything. But, you can't always talk to her or walk her to her classes. There is a thing called Dates that most couples go out on over the weekend and such to have fun and talk about their week and hang out with the one they like. Band competitions are also a good time to hang out with her (most the time it is better to hang out with them after you compete though). Like this weekend my band is going to our Saint Patric's Day Parade and If i was still going out with my X i would hang out with him as much as i could b/c i would never talk to him during school other than the start of the school day and for about an hour after school is out on the phone. It makes it much easier, you can still talk to the one you like (and make them happy) and even get your school work in! It's a win win situation. ^^

Your in texas? TAKS? Maybe you should tell her whats going on...how your feeling in this situation that your going trough and maybe she will understand you and your relationship will stay longer.
