 Her mother had finally given her permission to explore just slightly out of her sight. She had only turned the bend in the path, her mother would still be able to hear her if something happened. She was excited, it was her first time to be able to explore alone. It was amazing!
Her small pink ears took in every sound. The birds over head and the rabbits playing in the dry leaves. She lowered her head, her horn catching a small vine with flowers on it. It smelled lovely!
Her eyes glistened a little bit, it seemed like a new world to her even though she and her mother walked this path every day. Finally! Her mother realized she was growing up!

The dark uni colt, was once again, out and about on his own. Mikhail didn't really mind though, if his father was around, he was sure that he would be too interested in looking for a mare rather than watch him anyways. Not much of a babysitter in his opinion.
On this day, he stumbled upon a path he never came across before. Curious, he started to follow it, wondering if it would lead him someplace new. It was a nice walk, good for stretching out his legs and seeing the wildlife was nice. Over time, he heard something a bit bigger rustling in the grass and leaves. Ears perking, he wondered if it was another horse. He sort of hoped that it wasn't, yet, kind of hoped it was. He was always nervous about meeting others, but knew he couldn't always seclude himself. Slowly, he walked further down the path, wondering what he would find.

A broad smile graced the filly's face. She was having a marvelous time, finally feeling a bit grown. In the distance, she could hear the steps of another. They were too soft and too close together to be a large soquili. She stopped, her eyes looking towards the horizon of the path. She braced herself, ready to run if she needed to, her curiousity too much for her to react now.
Her tail flicked once, then stood at attention as well. Her blue eyes searching. Slowly she could start to see the outline of another soquili, it looked like a foal as well!
She waited a few more moments to see if an adult followed. She couldn't hear one, but she knew that some adults were extremely stealthy when they traveled. Seeing no one else, Ren quickly let out a soft nicker in greetings.

Mikhail had no idea he was walking toward another foal as he traveled, watching his hooves mainly and the insects that moved out of the way of them.
Not expecting it, hearing the nicker caused the foal to jump, followed by stumbling over his own legs. He tried to catch himself, but eventually fell to the ground with a soft thud. After his rough landing, he shook his head, dirt and leaves falling from his white mane. When his head finally stopped spinning, he looked around to see who nickered at him to see the little filly.
