MUSIC FOR PRAGUE (1689)
THE best piece of music literature IN ALL TIME. Super hard to play as a whole band and the fourth movement's pretty complicated in some select parts, but it's so much fun!! Not to mension the symbolism and intense artistry weaved within the music.
Simply ASTOUNDING.

I can't decide...D= But the two favorites that I've played this year are Ballet Sacra and Ghost Train. Ballet Sacra was about 15 minutes long...really hard, but really amazing! Ghost Train is in three movements, and I absolutely LOVE it. Each instrument represents something dealing with the train....and in the first movement, it really sounds like a train. The percussion stuff is really cool, too- they're using bows (for stringed instruments) on the sides of symbols, keys on other instruments, etc. It's so cool!

oh goodness what a hard choice LOL
i think i'll always have a soft spot for a song i played in junior high concert band called rights of tamburo (tamboro? i can't remember...) anyway, when we first started out the piece i was playing first clarinet and GOSH that part was killer i loved it and then a few weeks or so later i switched to bass clarinet in band and fell in love with my new part in that song http://odeo.com/episodes/5428713-Rites-Of-Tamburo
i also reeeeeally like elsa's procession to the cathedral it's a piece that i really got into, i couldn't help but to move with the music the bass clarinet part for it was crazy difficult for only playing it for a year and a half (notes above the staff oh. my. gosh. hahaha) i wish we were playing it this year, i'd be able to pull it off so much better
also fusion it's in 3 movements and it's INSANELY fun there are lots of fun solo's and duets and stuff aaaaaaaah
click here for my bands recording of elsa's and fusion! lol
yeah okay i could go on forever about the music that i love to play T___T

WEll i have the that i played at county and district bands.
The first is entitled Them Basses. Typically i hate marches, but Them basses is all about what the name suggests, Bass instruments. So fun.
Second is entitled Manugulina. This song was difficult for me, but i love latin music.
The last is more of a time period, rather than a song. I love the Renissance (sp?) Period of music. It is so fun and interesting.
