((Guess I will start this off! xD)) Voronwe Name: Caek Element: Earth Pack: (intend to join) Earth Character Concept: traditional psychic abilities as listed in the guide. Journal: - Voronwe roleplay examples: RP Caek had waited a long time for this evening. She had finally felt deep inside herself that she was prepared for this journey to the Goddess's temple. Since a kitt, Caek had lived mostly near her family group. Recently her travels had taken her further and she had seen more and more changes come to the sacred valley. Every day her resolve and strength grew. The female could hear an inner voice, trying to calm her pounding heart. Today will be the day. I know I must go.
She had grown up seeing many other Voronwe wield their powers. Caek could remember the feeling she got of quiet awe, impressed with the responsibility and dedication. A little nervous flutter took her breath away as the sight of the temple loomed closer. Was she really ready?
The brown Voronwe felt her courage surge. Her spirit had not failed her. Neither had her Goddess. She wouldn't let her worries creep up.
Caek approached the temple steps slowly. She was lost, gazing up at the important structure before her. No matter how many times one saw it, the temple was still a special place to be.---------------- The white male sat by the huge marble structure watched the brown female, and quickly realised he hadn't been seen. He cleared his throat and swished his tail, sure the noise and motion would catch her eye and bring her to him. There were several of them waiting; but they were each so still that many would not notice them. ---------------- One of the temple Voronwe caught her eye. Caek heard a sound just as she realized that several Voronwe were actually waiting at the marble temple. She quickly headed over towards the white male, unsure of what to say. Surely he knew why she was here, same as all the others. Advice from another older Voronwe flashed into her mind. She had told her simply to speak to them as to any other Voronwe. They were there to help afterall.
Caek nodded her head low. "I am Caek.." ---------------- "Caek." The white male nodded his head and curled his tail around his legs. "Before you go into the temple, I would like to take a moment of your time. Why don't you tell me about yourself, and what you hope will happen here?"---------------- Caek thought quickly. "Of course." She paused, "I've spent most of my time with my family in the forest. I know I have a very cautious personality," she smiled softly, "but I love my home here and that is why I really wanted to come to the temple. I care about the earth. I hope the Goddess will grant me a way to do something to take care of our home."
Her heart was still a flutter, but this time with a spirit of conviction instead of just nervousness. Caek hoped that the temple voronwe understood her goals.---------------- The white male gazed at Caek for a few moments, before nodding and standing. He half-faced towards the entrance, to draw Caek's attention to it. "Very well. Feel free to enter."---------------- The male's response was certainly not encouraging nor clear. He had stared at her for a long pause before simply telling her to enter. Was it good that he only told her to enter? She couldn't say. It wasn't really his position to answer with much more than that one would imagine.
Caek nodding in polite thanks to the temple Voronwe before she continued further in. She gazed around with curiosity as she finally entered the temple interior. The female was trying to gauge what to do next. Caek could not hold back a feeling of awe for arriving inside her Goddess's sanctuary. Her brown eyes brightened. ---------------- The ancient stone structure- little more than a roof held up by majestic pillars- was brightened by several flaming torches, lighting the way inside. Vines climbed up the pillars and a few ventured across the roof, the occasional flower providing a splash of colour. The wind whistled softly through the entire structure; lending an additional air of mysticism. The temple drew back into the side of the hill; the back carved away to a flat wall, against which a great alter with ancient symbols rested. A small stream had been incorperated into the natural- and awe-inspiring- beauty of the place, trickling it's way through the temple in front of the alter. It added to the sighing song of the wind when one drew closer, and the fire reflected off it's surface and gave the light near the alter a strange feel- as though the elements were all present, all waiting, for one to step forwards and speak to them.---------------- Caek was held in awe of the beautiful but very natural temple interior. The natural elements wove together seamlessly to give the place a unique spiritual aura. The creeping vines above and the bright spots of floral color caught her eye but Caek continued forward. She walked along the murmuring stream which led up to the altar.
She stopped before the stone altar and briefly studied the symbols carved there. Caek lowered her brown head and silently praised her goddess.---------------- Silence reigned for a few moments, before a slight shifting of rock could be heard. Tiny offshoots of the vines closest to the alter crept along the floor as it started to shake underneath Caek's feet, the rocks slowly raising her into the air. Small spears of crystal shot up around her, splintering the light and sending prismatic colours shining around the brown female. The vines crept around her feet, leaving a scattering of flowers around her toes, as the aura of the temple deepened, and held a deep spiritual feel; one of rock, and mountain; of leaf and tree; of the solid, reliable, beautiful nature of the earth. It called out to Caek, swirling around her, pure energy of her chosen element.---------------- Caek's head rose fast as the first tremor spread beneath her feet. Even the vines started moving as the rock underfoot was quickly proving anything but stable. The wide eyed Voronwe did not know what to expect next as she rose into the air. Yet all the same, the impressive and moving aura of the place willed her not to be scared nor to try and flee. She felt very much a deep feeling of safety in the Temple. Her Goddess was with her here.
Shining colors mesmerized her as she gazed out through the bright crystal and shimmering of flowers and vines. Her curiosity and awe could not be restrained. What else was... Her train of thought ended abruptly as slowly Caek realized another feeling building within. This one was not solely spiritual, but she could almost feel the very earth's energy against her skin. Caek's spirit soared as she saw within herself the power of the earth element. ---------------- For a few moments the temple was still and quiet; the atmosphere still rich and spiritual. Then the process began to reverse itself- the rock slowly sank back to it's former level, the vines creeping back to where they were- whether they were ungrowing, or ceasing to exist, or simply going somewhere else, it was impossible to see. The flowers around Caek's feet remained, physical evidence that the spiritual event had happened whilst the rest of the temple returned to how it had been. The air had changed, somehow; instead of being quietly expectant as before, it was now calm and peaceful, although no less rich or mystical. ---------------- The temple around her slowly shifted and transformed back into its usual state. She stood still for a while, taken in by the mystery and power of the event. Caek could feel a difference in herself. She was surprised that it felt so familiar. Like more of an awakening of something within than a gaining of something new and strange. She nosed the flowers at her feet, appreciating the gentle reminder of her Goddess's power. The brown Voronwe lowered her head to praise her Goddess once more before she left the temple to start her long journey home.

Voronwe Name: Shandiis Element: Chaos Pack: Chaos Character Concept: Primarily being able to blend into the shadows; with minimal emotional empathy. Journal: [x]Voronwe roleplay examples: [x] Shandiis peered around the trees at the entrance to the temple. The great structure was awe-inspiring, even to the slender male, who tended to keep himself focused on physical things. Still, he knew he couldn't put it off forever; it had been time for him to make the long journey from near the settlement- where he had been- to the temple, to make his pledge to the Goddess. He wasn't overly spiritual, but even he knew that she had given him life, and that she could unlock his true potential.
The male closed his emerald eyes for a moment, before stepping out from the shadows and walking boldly towards the temple, with no fear in his eyes or form. Either he would walk away richer for this experience- or he would gain nothing. He couldn't lose anything, so he saw no reason to be nervous.--------------------- A slim temple voronwe watched the male approach. Her white fur gleamed under the soft temple light. She moved out from her position beside a tall marble column to where she would intercept his path, but her features remained very still.
The Voronwe calmly waited to welcome the male into the temple. She did not like to bother visitors with many questions, knowing full well that the Goddess would make the judgment.--------------------- Shandiis was alert to his surroundings, given that this was a new situation for him; so he noticed the movement from the female, and altered his path to draw closer to her. It was reasonable to assume she'd want to talk to him. Should've snuck around the back, he thought for a second, before shaking the thought off- the chances of her wanting to stop him seemed small, since the temple was here for Voronwe to come and pay their respects.
Perhaps this was just part of the experience. His head high, his emerald eyes filled with confidence, he strode without faltering towards the slender female and stopped a couple of feet from her, his tail curling around his legs as he waited for her to speak.
--------------------- "Welcome." The Temple Voronwe bent her head gently to greet the visitor. He had a lot of confidence in the way he carried himself. She hoped he did not let that overwhelm his judgment nor his attitude towards the Goddess.
"What have you come to seek here at the temple?" She never asked her questions with intent to turn someone away, but more to aid the visitor if she could in any way. Sometimes it helped simply to clear their thoughts and speak.--------------------- Shandiis blinked; her question was unexpected, since he thought it was obvious. But perhaps she meant more specifically, since he expected more Voronwe came here to visit the Goddess.
"Thank you", he smiled slightly, showing his appreciation for her greeting; before thinking for a moment.
"What am I seeking. Hm. I suppose I'm not really sure." He shrugged his slender shoulders, green eyes thoughtful. It was odd for him to speak to another in anything but a light-hearted manner, but this place made him feel very sober. "I guess, with all the changes in the valley, I felt it was time to travel here; pay my respects, and see if the Goddess thought I was worthy of her gift. I've been sneaking around the human settlement, trying to work them out- if she gave me her Gift, maybe it would help. Maybe it'd allow me to figure them, their purpose, out better."
He frowned slightly; it was difficult for him to put words to his feelings, but he felt that if this wasn't an occasion to try, then there wasn't one in the world. He thought he was getting his point across, at the very least.--------------------- The white Voronwe smiled with a soft nod. His answer was a very thoughtful one, even thought he said he wasn't sure about it. She had also noticed lately that more Voronwe, coming to the temple for whatever reason, were mentioning the humans.
"Many who visit here aren't sure why they come, but don't worry, the Goddess knows." She shifted to look into the temple interior. "Continue, and Pheidren will answer." ---------------------

Voronwe Name: Kagayaku Element: Well, the power I'd like her to have is similar-ish to an Order ability, with the whole "sway others to their way of thinking" and everything. However, it's a little more pure than that in how Kagayaku's power would merely help others to see what they couldn't see before because they were angry, or distracted, or the like. Her snow power would be something of the Water element most likely. The sub-element of Ice, perhaps? In terms of Kagayaku herself, she really doesn't fit into any element.... She's probably closest to Order, with her personality being somewhat "white knight"-ish and just. She also values peace highly like the Order element, however, she's certainly not "distant and unattached to the world around" her. In fact, she's very sociable and chatty. Also, Order voronwe "are strong in the belief that to truly eliminate a weakness or flaw, one must accept its presence and that it is a part of the individual's nature." Kagayaku would agree that one should accept the presence of weaknesses as part of one's character, but she would leave how to deal with such faults up the individuals, wanting to help but unsure of how to do so. Pack: None Character Concept: Well.... I'd really like her to have the gift of opening other's minds to the good and/or beauty of things. Like, she could help soothe an angry voronwe by showing him the good in the one who angered him, or help another voronwe get over their hate by helping them see the beauty of the situation. If that's not possible, something to do with snow would be nice. ^^; Also, if she is put in the Order element, that default ability to "control the light; bring a shine to the darkest forests, and eliminate the shadows" would be very good for her in addition to her other power. She could use it to light her body up at night to help guide those who are lost.Journal: Second PostVoronwe roleplay examples: [x] [x]The sun was just behind the imposing temple of the Goddess, blinding the ice-blue eyes of the young female who stood before it. She lowered her head and took a step forward to hide the sun behind the massive building and blinked warily, trying to remove the spots from her vision.
Kagayaku, a slight and slender voronwe ordinarily, felt tiny as an ant before this mighty structure. She gave a rather nervous swallow and swung her tail around in an arc, accidentally hitting herself in the process. She giggled, but abruptly stopped and rushed forward to begin climbing the cool stone steps.
She mentally chastised herself for the brief lapse in judgement. If she was to receive some sort of magical power from the Goddess this day, she was to act composed and regal, not childish and silly.
However, her good nature could not be suppressed and she smiled to herself as she lay a paw on another step.----------------------- A pure white male Voronwe watched her from the shadows. He was larger than most of his brethren, casting an imposing shadow behind him as he stepped towards her and cleared his throat to ensure she would realise he was there.----------------------- Suddenly, Kagayaku noticed a huge white male step before her. He cleared his throat to call even more notice to himself and she blinked in surprise as she immediately halted. She had heard that the Goddess's helpers would come, but she hadn't expected one so soon. Oh no! Had she already done something wrong?
"Um...." she began hesitantly, "Hi?"
Her golden wings fluttered and she hastened to bow as she added rather nervously, "My name is Kagayaku. I've come seeking the Goddess. Though, you probably knew that."----------------------- The male smiled. "Indeed. Few come here who do not seek the Goddess." His clear, pale eyes watched her intently. "Before you enter, Kagayaku, why don't you tell me a little about yourself? Perhaps tell me what you hope to acheive here."----------------------- Kagayaku smiled at his question, her tail sagging ever so slightly with relief. Yay! She hadn't done anything wrong! He was only asking about her. Phew!
She took a breath to gather her thoughts and said, "Well.... I don't really know what I hope to gain here today. I just would like something that can help me help others ..... Everyone is so tied up in the issue of the humans that sometimes the sheer amount of hate makes me sick. I just wish people could take a step back and see that there are two sides to every story - that there is beauty in the darkest night."
She took another breath looked down at the stone of the steps. "I just want to help people ..... and I'm hoping the Goddess can help me....."
Then, she looked up at the white male and asked softly, "Is that so wrong?"----------------------- "Not at all." The male smiled again, an unreadable smile; before stepping aside to make way for the female. The rest was up to the Goddess. "Please feel free to enter the temple." ----------------------- Somewhat stunned by the male's abrupt dismissal, Kagayaku walked on with a worried heart. Had she spoken too much? Had she gotten a little carried away? She gave a small sigh and continued up the stairs while trying to tell herself that it was probably nothing. She was probably making a mountain out of an ant hill, she told herself.
She reached the temple with a subdued smile on her face and hope in her dream.----------------------- The ancient stone structure- little more than a roof held up by majestic pillars- was brightened by several flaming torches, lighting the way inside. It added to the sighing song of the wind when one drew closer, and the fire reflected off it's surface and gave the light near the alter a strange feel- as though the elements were all present, all waiting, for one to step forward and speak to them. ----------------------- Kagayaku entered the temple and could not bite back her gasp of amazement and awe. She stopped where she stood and craned her head in every direction in a vain attempt to see everything at once. Her icy blue eyes widened and marveled at the unspoiled beauty of the Goddess's realm. She took small steps forward while snapping her head in all directions, seeing how the changing angle of her vision changed the beauty she saw before her. It was indescrible, Kagayaku realized. And even if she spent every day there, she guessed that she would never tire of its majesty.
She finally came to the alter and hesitated before placing her paws in the stream. She gently washed her paws with the chilling water in an attempt to purify herself. She stood before the alter, feeling as if the very air were holding its breath, waiting for something to happen. She lowered her head and sank quickly into a bow.
'Please, Goddess, grant me some way to help those who are hurting. For anger and hate are terrible things that eat away at one's heart. Please let me be one who can help others to see past their negative feelings and see the good. Let me shine in the darkest of nights to guide those who are lost. Help me please, Goddess,' Kagayaku spoke in her mind.----------------------- There was a pause as the atmosphere of the temple deepened; the sense of a great presence grew. Then the temple somehow began to change.
The lights grew brighter; not a flickering from the torches, but a gentle, pure light that seemed to bend around everything, eliminating shadow and bathing everything in a gentle light. A sense of perfection, of order, of all things being perfectly balenced spread through the temple; as if everything, life, creation itself was a perfect circle, never ending and never breaking, and as if every small thing had a purpose. Colour seemed to bleed out of the world as everything appeared to be made up of the soft, radiant light; and it touched the white Voronwe by the alter, bathing her in it's gentle perfection, filling her with the gift of Order that the Goddess controlled. ----------------------- The sudden change in the atmosphere should have frightened her, Kagayaku realized. But it didn't. Slowly, as though she couldn't move any faster, she lifted her head and opened her eyes, seeing and feeling the world change around and inside her. An overwhelming sense of rightness settled within her, heavy but not uncomfortable. It was as though she had been missing a piece of her heart for so long that she'd gotten used to the hollow, but now the piece was back and she would need to get used to being whole once again.
Her eyes did not need to adjust to the radiant light that shone before her. The light was another part of herself and her Goddess and she was already used to it. She drank in the light with her heart and felt great joy burst through, much like a bird flying free for the first time. She smiled and nodded to the alter, to the Goddess.
"Yes. I understand," she whispered. "Thank you."----------------------- The light remained for a few moments, before slowly fading; gradually, the temple returned to normal, although the great presence was still there, and there was still a slight glow from beneath Kagayaku's feet. There was no physical sign of the monumental event that had so deeply affected the female Voronwe; but the air spoke of it, thick with the deep mysticism and presence of the Goddess. A gentle affirmation seemed to hang in the air for a moment, before the glow faded entirely away, leaving Kagayaku to forge a new path through the world.----------------------- Kagayaku felt the light ebbing and she found her eyes were tearing up. She feared, somewhere in her heart, that once the light left she would be empty again. She didn't think she could bear such a loss, now that she knew what she'd been missing.
However, when the last bit of radiant light faded from the room, and the only glow came from the torch above the alter, Kagayaku found that her paws were still glowing faintly and her heart was still heavy with her new-found rightness. A single, crystalline tear escaped her eyes as she cracked a weak smile of relief. The tear splashed as it hit the stone floor of the temple and Kagayaku whispered, "Thank you, Goddess. Thank you."
She sank into a very deep bow of respect and praised the Goddess again, promising to never forget her and to use her gift for good only. She rose, gave a tiny smile at the alter, and turned on heel. She slowly made her way out of the temple, giving a nod and smile to the huge white male she had passed earlier. She could not believe that all that had transpired had done so in just a few moments, but he was proof, as he stood on the steps just as he had before she'd entered.

Voronwe Name: Naali and Aamu Element: Order Pack: Character Concept: Naali and Aamu are twins, who are tied to each other. They are in many ways opposites, and rely on their differences to strengthen each other. They are never RPed separately. Naali is charismatic, headstrong and willfull; she can also be dogmatic and forceful. She is a good leader, when balanced by the wisdom of Aamu.
Naali's power would be the power of persuasion, to align others to her way of thinking. Aamu is very wise and focused. Her belief in Pheidren is deep. She has strong empathy and often sees things from multiple viewpoints. Naali's charisma provides good balance to Aamu and can spur the quieter Voronwe to action.
Aamu's powers are primarily mental. She does have some ability with light, but it is tied to her mental power. Aamu has high mental capability and often meditates, her powers will grow this into real visions. She will do this by either meditating and receiving whatever knowledge the goddess grants her or she will be able to focus her light and direct her vision towards something/someone specific. Journal: caustic/aamuVoronwe roleplay examples: [x] Naali gazed at the temple, her heart beating faster and her golden eyes gleaming. A smile slowly spread over her muzzle. She was filled with excitement at the prospect of what was to come; the temple, the Goddess, the possibility of her and Aamu receiving a Gift. For a moment a seed of doubt appeared- what if only one of them received it? Or what if it was something that might damage their close bond? Naali pushed the thoughts away- it was impossible. They were tied together too closely for that.
"Here we are, Aamu!" she whispered, turning to look at her sister. "The great temple of Pheidren."Aamu stood by her sister, staring with great awe towards the temple. It was amazing to finally be standing here! The blue female gave a soft smile. She felt honored. Her Goddess would grant their Gift if they were ready and if not then they would at least have shown the Goddess dedication and respect.
"Yes," Aamu whispered back to Naali, "Whatever happens, I am glad we came." She nudged her head gently against her sister's, trying to share a feeling of support before the two went forward to the temple. It was a big event and could be very life-changing. Aamu knew she would be there for her sister no matter what happened, because she also felt Naali would do the same for her.------------------- A slender white male sat in the shadow of the temple watched the exchange with interest. He was unable to hear the words spoken, but the close bond between what was obviously siblings was clear to him. He wondered if they intended to apply for the Gift together; it would certaintly be unusual, but he didn't mind that. It intrigued him, actually.
He stepped out of the shadows and sat in front of the temple, awaiting their approach.------------------- Naali saw the male move from the shadows and sit in front of the temple, watching them. She blinked and gently nudged Aamu with her shoulder. "Look," she whispered. "That must be one of the Goddess' temple Voronwe- we should go and greet him." She smiled at her sister, knowing that Aamu was just as excited about the whole thing as she was- although perhaps in a different way.Aamu nodded and tried to swallow a ripple of nervousness. She looked to follow Naali's gaze and saw the temple Voronwe waiting. "Yes.. I guess we should go over." The nervous feeling was unexpected but it wasn't a bad feeling exactly. It was partly from excitement and partly because she didn't know what would be happening in the temple. The young blue Voronwe had been to the temple with her sister before, but not for the Gifting obviously. She had always heard such unbelievable stories about the Gifting and couldn't wait to see what it was all really like. ------------------- The temple Voronwe watched as the pair walked over to him and smiled, bowing his head slightly. "Greetings," he spoke; his voice slightly musical. "Welcome to the temple of our fair Goddess. Do you might if I ask a little about you? What was it that brought you here?"-------------------

Voronwe Name: Fria'Lahni. Element: Air Pack: N/A Character Concept: Fria'Lahni is a small, slender female who flies very well, and loves to be in the mountains, where there are plenty of updrafts to ride. She would therefore be granted the gift of Air, to be able to read the air currents, a hightened sense of what is carried on them (scents, sounds etc) as well as being able to navigate the currents with more skill. Journal:Voronwe roleplay examples: [x] Fria'Lahni did everything spur-of-the-moment. That was how she was- flighty, laid-back, doing what she wanted, when she wanted. Freedom, that was all she truly desired. And so, spur of the moment, she had decided to come to the temple. Perhaps it wasn't truly spur of the moment- perhaps she had been called. She preferred to believe she'd just travelled her because she wanted to, even though she disliked being so far from the mountain peaks, where the air currents were weak and flying was harder.
She approached the grand structure with curiosity; her pale blue eyes lively. Here it was, then; the temple of her Goddess. Not that she prayed often. To the lively female, Pheidren was more a fact than a religion, but the temple, and the sense of a great presence, was humbling. Friah'Lahni thought she could understand how the temple Voronwe could devote their lives to the Goddess, and why so many others chose to in their other ways- although it was not a path she could see herself on.
Her path, right now, though, took her towards the open entrance of the vast structure; and she walked up slowly, each step filling her with a little more awe, making her feel a little more humbled.-------------------------- Walking softly, a Temple Voronwe stepped over to greet the blue female who was making her way up the steps. The bright white female with her large wings was probably hard to miss even if she hadn't stepped forward.
She smiled in greeting at the stranger, always glad to see a Voronwe coming to their Goddess's temple. "Welcome. I hope good things have brought you here today."-------------------------- Fria'Lahni smiled slightly at the white female; awed by everything around her, caught up completely in the mysticism of the place. "So do I," she murmured absently; before realising she should probably direct more of her attention to the female. She felt her skin warm under her fur and averting her eyes in embarressment, clearing her throat. She felt very insignificant here.
"I mean... Yes, of course good things have brought me here. But I hope the outcome is good as well." Speaking helped her to compose herself and Fria'Lahni lifted her eyes back to the other female, feeling less overwhelmed. The temple Voronwe weren't here to judge- they were here to guide and help. She smiled slightly.-------------------------- The Temple female smiled encouragingly. It was tough for most Voronwe making the visit here, this place could be so powerful! Perhaps her question had sounded odd, but sometimes the Voronwe who came here did so out of great sorrow. It was nice to hear some optimism coming through in the other female's voice.
"All will be well, the Goddess finds a way to answer everyone who enters her Temple. You are free to enter." She didn't want to hold up the visitor any longer. The white female bent with a nod in parting and moved back to her previous spot in the column's shade.
