It was one of those rare occasions where Ink found herself mostly docile, tranquilized by the sun and laid delicately out across a smooth, flat boulder. Amber eyes were closed at the moment, warmth spreading across her body and seeping down to her bones. Where was her usual seething bad mood? Rolling onto her side she stretched, tail swatting away a butterfly that dared venture too close.
Sitting up restlessly, she gazed down the fifty feet or so to the smooth, compact sand of the beach. Though the tide had receded, it remained cool to the touch and easy to travel across. Her eyes narrowed as she shook her bangs from her eyes, searching diligently for a reason to get up and do something worthwhile.

[Sorry Cap... I completely forgot about this rp... you should have poked at me. ><;; ] Meleena sighed, tilting her head from one side to the other as she walked out among the trees, the branches swaying above her head. She bit her lip slightly, wanting nothing more than to find someone who might help her, anyone... who might help instill some strength in her heart. What was wrong with her? Why was she so weak?

Ink stiffened, eyes snapping open and staring back into the woods. Had she heard something? Lifting her body from the ground, she padded across the sand and through the razor-sharp dune grass, sights fixed on the forest. Someone was in there, and by god she was going to find them...

Meleena continued to walk among the trees though she could tell she was getting closer to the beach as sand began to arch up toward her paws, the howling wind sending shivers down her spine as she swallowed deeply. "Who... who is there?" She stated with about as much courage as she muster, which for her ended up in a slight squeak. "...I.... I know you're there." She tried shouting this time and though it came out a little louder it was still hardly more than a normal volume.

With a soft growl, Ink leapt with ease through the edge of the forest, talons grinding deep scores into the soft forest floor. The voice that had barely spoken directed her right towards-
With a squeal the female collided with something solid and warm. Startled, she backed away a few paces, shaking her mane away from her eyes in a frustrated attempt to see who she had hit.
"Who're you?" she rumbled defensively, fur on end as she looked over the other. Her tail twitched, eyes locked onto hers. Didn't seem too dangerous...
