The large lioness walked through the dense trees, her eyes flickering around here and there as she moved. She'd settled into the pride nicely, her anxiety of being around so many new people slowly lessening. She hadn't met everyone yet... But enough to make her feel reasonably comfortable. Still, old habits die hard. Lee found herself staying around the borders of the territory, keeping mostly to herself. Her job as a guard fit her, at least. The idea of defending her new home gave her a glimmer of happiness.
It was also a little boring, at times. The pride was located so deep within the jungle that few rouges wandered in here. So there weren't many opportunities to chase them out. But... what can ya do? She had to do her job. So... wander she dead, her head held high as she looked around at the foliage around her. She had to shake her head frequently, her shaggy hair falling over her eyes to obscure her vision. Her shaggy fur only made her look more masculine, an odd look that mixed with her above average build to make her look rather... awkward.

Twiga moved through the brush slowly, taking in the sights around her. This pride was vastly different from her expectations- but not in the kind of way that made her regret coming there. Quite the contrary, really, as she was thrilled to see it situated in such an amazing and new landscape. All she had known before coming was dust and deep caverns. This was better by far.
Softer on the paws, too.
As she moved, she wondered what the other pride members would be like. If they would like her and if she would fit in with them. So new to the pride, she really hadn’t had much of an opportunity to meet any of the others. Something she hoped to change eventually. For the moment, though, she felt a little withdrawn. Nervous, almost. Not a normal emotion for the out-going creature by any means.
Her paws froze as she heard something not too far from her, body tensing instinctively. It was only when she saw the purple lioness appear that she felt relieved enough to relax. Not an enemy, but a member of the pride. Maybe. Hopefully.
“Hello there,” she offered brightly, hiding any fear behind a side, toothy grin, “I’m new here! Are you a member of the pride?”
