Astral walked away from her fathers’ side as she usually found herself doing to catch a glimpse of her mother looking at the stars. As usual she lurked in the bushes behind Estelle, being just the right height so that no ducking was needed and so that her eyes could see perfectly through the gaps formed natural during the bushes growth. As always she noted the half sad tone upon her mothers’ face, the look that simply screamed out to her that something was missing, a lonely moaning look. Where the stars simply that irresistible that her mother couldn’t simply be satisfied with Ayden? Astral was confused and started to stare at the sky – the stars were the blessing she knew her mother to be obsessed about.
After a moment of deciding that there was not very much to consider any more Astral began to turn back to her father when she had a change of thought and paused in her tracks. Tail wagging and heart beginning to thump with expectation her little mind began to race. She had had plenty of adventure in the day but very little at night; perhaps tonight would be the start of a great adventure.
Looking around she began to wonder which direction to take in search of adventure, and as the wind blew once with its might breath it carried her ever so slightly to the path leading right, instantly she took it as a sign and started skipping playfully towards the field ahead. Under her breath she began to hum a gentle melody, it was the song that her father would sing to her and her sister before he told them a new tail.
Excitement was buzzing through every cell as she moved, tail wagging, heart racing. With each step she started to speed up, until finally she was running. Running towards.... something still to be discovered.
